She meets his gaze, mirroring the grin. There’s a moment of silence before she shrugs subtly, “Acceptable, so far,” it grows into a teasing smile, “I’m impressed you found my secret spring,” she shifts slightly to face him.

The soft clink of the glass against the stone is enough to break her from her silent bliss. Her lids crack open, eyes flashing towards the source of the sound, alert, though the rest of her remains still beneath the surface. Through the fog, the shadow of a man (probably?) can be discerned against the stone. The voice confirms it.

“Depends on the company,” his details are lost in the fog, but his voice sounds pleasant enough.

Bare feet delicately walk across the wet stone towards a steaming pool off in the corner that patrons have seemed to avoid. It’s tucked behind a tall out cropping of rock. Perhaps that's why; if you weren’t looking for it, it would be easy to miss.



The prospect of downing the sake in her hand and settling into the comforting warmth of the bath was enough press a rather satisfied smile onto her pink lips. Toni wastes no time setting the sake near the edge of the pool and letting the silken robe slip off her shoulders to settle beside it.



She sinks into the foggy bath without even bothering to look to see if anyone else is present. With a deep breath, she momentarily slips beneath the surface, brushing back her dark hair. A satisfied sigh hums in her throat as she wipes away the beads of water and settles back against the stoney wall of the pool.

Toni regards Remiel with a rather curious look as he moves through the water and takes the time to stretch out his arms. She doesn’t divert her gaze even when he does. It merely gives her the opportunity to inspect him in more detail now that he’s waded closer. He’ll likely catch her looking, but she doesn’t seem to be embarrassed when her gaze flicks back up to meet his.

Very wise, and respectable,” she comments, nodding in agreement. It’s what she’s here in Hoenn doing, after all: chasing personal goals. People can certainly get in the way.

A light laugh echoes across the water’s surface, toni smiling whimsically, “lovestruck seems too strong of a word,” her shoulder shrug lightly as she searches for the right one, “Men just tend to get . . . riled up over what they can’t have . . . or can’t tame,” the women have never seemed to be an issue. Why she keeps involving herself with men then is beyond her. Primal instinct perhaps?

Tacos? Those sounded messy, even with a bib. Toni doesn’t voice an opinion, she’s left the night’s plans up to him considering she had just arrived in the region. Therefore, she couldn’t complain . . . too much.

It doesn’t matter who you are, puppies are frikken cute, and they do bring a sense of unmatched joy. Even the incredibly obnoxious kitten her mother stuck her with when she left Sinnoh was tolerable at time.

The Riolu’s wagging tail and eagerness to press closer into her hand does make her smile, “interested in adoption?” she repeats the idea, seeming to actually consider it for a moment. Perhaps a companion for Willow would keep the Shinx under control, “Maybe,” she looks back towards Caden with a grin before wandering between another set of pens.

Toni reaches down as a Houndour trots up to the rim of the barrier. She scratches beneath its chin with a small smile, “Are you looking to adopt a lil munchikin?” she momentarily glanced back at caden before returning her attention to the puppy.

Toni’s lips twitch into a smirk, “Does that mean we need to celebrate?” Pampering ana with champagne and fine dining is appealing.

“I hope that means you’ll find time for me,” her lips curl into a small pout. She entices ana with the age-old ‘puppy dog eyes’.

Still, she can’t help but tease, “Hmm, a busy man,” she sighs, stepping back and towards the stairs the exit the steaming pool, “I won’t hold my breath then, Onyx Marrows,” she cast a small smile over her shoulder. See, she remembers his name . . . for now, “Don’t keep me waiting too long. Might forget your name again.”

“And Devon Corps?” Toni repeats in mild surprise, laughing lightly while shaking her head, “You never cease to amaze me,” she admits as her thoughts trail off, “Sounds like you’ll be a busy woman,” though Ana says Toni can have her for as long as she wants, the implication is there that she’ll be far too busy to fool around with someone like her.

He speaks slowly, as is she’s hard of hearing. Luckily, she knows how to take a joke. Her lips pull into a playful frown, one shaped brow lifting quizzically, “Onyx. Marrows.” she repeats it clearly, attempting to cement it to memory, “Perhaps I’ll see you again then, Onyx Marrows,” the frown pulls into a smile. Would she go out of her way to make that a reality? Maybe. He was growing on her. She rises in the bath stepping close enough to feel the heat radiating off his chest. Her eyes wander before turning back up to meet his with an impish sparkle, “Might need a kitty whisperer again.”
