reaching for soap, he lathers some across her back, moving over her shoulders before trailing down the curves of her body. he doesn't stop at her waist, no, he keeps going, moving down towards her thighs.[break][break]

eventually, he bends at his knees, squatting as he makes sure her legs are clean.

he's equally terrible with playing the hero, because in all honesty, niko is as far from a hero as one could be.[break][break]

the role of the villain feels much more natural. which is why when she pulls him towards her, he tenses, stopping just before meeting her lips.[break][break]

his lips curl into a grin.[break][break]

"there are consequences to breaking my rules, jessie."

with her clothes discarded, he presses her body against hers, leaning down to kiss her neck.[break][break]

and as the water from the shower eventually washes over them, he hums, content in her presence and in the moment.

"hang in there, babe. i'll find us a mistletoe."[break][break]

he'd do anything to save her, that much is clear by how he immediately scoops her into his arms, carrying her out of the building to where he had last seen a mistletoe.[break][break]

sure enough, he finds it with ease, and it's there that he peers down into her eyes.[break][break]

"we're here..."

niko showered prior, and yet, her invitation is easily accepted. he breathes out a chuckle as he saunters after her.[break][break]

"shoot me if i ever say no."[break][break]

his shirt's long-discarded even before he steps into the bathroom. once inside, he reaches out for her, planting a kiss on her cheek before grasping at her clothing.

he feigns, returning her drama with some of his own as he stumbles towards her. he falls to the ground, kneeling in front of her as he holds her by her shoulders.[break][break]

"you can't die on me...you can't!"

she deserves good things — happiness, support, love — and he'd try his best to give her as much. not sure about the last thing, though. someday, perhaps.[break][break]

he smiles as she kisses the corner of his mouth. even after, he stays close, remaining in her orbit.[break][break]

"what do you wanna do now? we can do anything you want."

at her question, he raises the sack full of berries, this time much more than the first.

"all thanks to you, nina."

not really. it was a team effort.

"come on. drinks are on me after we sell this shit."

and as she turns to run, he gives chase, laughing as he (somewhat gently) lobs the snowball over her way.

niko definitely doesn't have all the answers. his own life is riddled with mysteries, inconsistencies that he's yet to explore. but for tonight, he could pretend for her sake.[break][break]
