Unlike its easily swayed trainer, it took more than a silver tongue to extinguish the Hydreigon’s animus. Still agitated by the snail’s eerie presence, the three-headed drake let out a low, guttural growl to let the duo know that they had not been deemed trustworthy yet.

The dragon-costumed maiden jovially waved at the other woman. “Nice to meet you, Sasha! Wow, you look really pretty! My name’s Andrea!” She introduced herself, while also lacking any sort of filter.

“Can you help me with this?” Andrea requested, offering one of the two bags of food to the beautiful blonde. “We need to get these to the feeders over there.” She explained.

With the weight shared between the two of them, the country bumpkin with the odd fashion sense felt comfortable engaging in some small talk. “How much do you know about Pokémon Breeding, Sasha?”

Major Gym Leaders ranked higher in Hoenn’s food chain. They got invited to all the important meetups where all the important decisions were made. They received more funding, and some of them were even acknowledged by legendary Pokémon. It was a fact Andrea Vaneau had long come to terms with.

Those stuck in the minor league like herself, Elise Calcifet, and DESIREE BLOOMS, were lucky to even get a mention in the Gym Leader group chat. Neglected and forgotten by an increasingly militarized system that emphasized battling above all else, they were left free to run their Gyms on their own terms.

Which was why a country bumpkin from Fallarbor Town like herself was surprised when former-Gym Leader-turned-Elite Four member actively sought her out. Sitting atop the head of a Rhydon statue, the young cosplayer waited for Dewford’s sheriff to arrive, while playing with the little Fuecoco sitting on her lap.

Upon seeing the grizzled man from a distance, she hugged the baby crocodile tightly, before jumping down, using her Sygna Suit’s artificial wings to ease her landing. Chomper, her Hydreigon, hovered behind Andrea like her bigger, fatter twin.

“Morning, Mr. Navy!” The dragon-costumed girl waved her sock puppet of a hand in a jovial greeting. “What’s up?”

Another day at work in the Vaneau family ranch. Shiny Pokémon were sought out by Breeders due to their biological quirks, but there was just one issue: Nala, like most Nidoqueen, was barren.

Normally, Andrea was ideologically opposed to the use of Ditto for breeding purposes, but in this case, it was the only way for Simba to become a papa. The Nidoking was successfully fooled by the transformation, and went to do what was dictated by the circle of life.

Granting her two pocket monsters some much needed privacy, Andrea tended to the rest of her chores for the day. Fetching two large bags of organic Pokémon food, the young cosplayer trudged towards the feeders, panting from the exercise.

“Hah hah… so… heavy.” Hopefully, the volunteer enlisted by her parents would arrive soon.

Like a child playing with an old videotape, time froze and got warped in the most ridiculous ways. It would be kinda funny, had the dragon rider not known what came next; a berserk Dialga of alternate colors, yet lacking the characteristic sparkles of a Shiny Pokémon.

The Sinnohian deity’s blast of temporal energy knocked out Andrea’s Cyclizar in one hit, forcing her to switch out. “Gia, return! Go, Chomper!” The costumed trainer exclaimed, sending out her trusty Hydreigon. Even when powered up by her Sygna Suit, its Draco Meteor couldn’t even put a dent on Dialga’s adamantine armor.

In retaliation, the ruler of time exhaled a wave of draconic fire from its mouth. Thankfully, Chomper was shielded from the attack by a leftover Shed Tail acting as his substitute.

“That was close! Thanks, Gia! Good girl~” Andrea kissed her Cyclizar’s Pokéball in gratitude.

The image of a beautiful blonde woman with a Sprigatito came up in Andrea's memory. The woman standing before her looked eerily similar to that person from way back when, but her flawless visage concealed bad vibes.

Perhaps the bad vibes actually came from that shady snail of hers, which spread death and blight in its wake. It had appeared in the battle against the White Kyurem, almost bringing Ruination to Andrea's most treasured companion. Naturally, Chomper was still bitter, looking like he wanted to tear both of them to shreds.

"YOU name YOUR business!" The draconic cosplayer retorted, furrowing her brow. At that point, it should be clear to the Rocket underboss that her obscene costume was actually a Sygna Suit, making the wearer just as Worked Up as the Hydreigon she was syncing with.

"What's the deal with that creepy Pokémon? Why did it poison the lake?" The girl making believe she was a dragon asked, baring her surprisingly sharp fangs.
