“Aw, your wife? That’s sweet.” Something about long-time sweethearts made her heart swell. Though, she’ll never admit such sappy thoughts aloud. Romance is a fickle road. Well, good thing she’s here not to think about any of that right now; She’s got a bratty dog to clean up and accessorize. [break][break]
It’s always at the halfway point that the canine Pokemon get the most rowdy. Time passes, Amber gently cooing at the white dog as she nearly finishes up. Her heart goes out to poor Berthold, but what a great help he was![break][break]

One last rinse and she quickly swaps out her wash bucket for towels and a portable hair dryer. The dog grumpily complies, but still being petty enough to shake off the water in between being slathered down with towels and blow dried. Although thankfully, she seemed to like the blow dryer, as it was more on the quieter side.[break][break]
“Normally I do people’s hair, but I also took classes for grooming Pokemon. It’s a lot harder than you would think. They don’t like to stay still as much as people do.” She sighs, before cocking her head back to the older gentlemen with a sincere smile. “So! The fiery path was pretty rigorous for trainers, wasn’t it? Well, Abigail was just here passing through. Her Salazzle, however, is absolutely loving the intense humidity in the air, and Abigails’s primarily unaffected by the sudden change in climate. The heat never bothered her anyway.[break][break]

Arcanine towers over her but there’s not a trace of fear in Abigail’s eyes. Rather, she graciously accepts the hug with open arms, her laughter infectious as the big fluffy dog showers her in affection. In truth it felt very reminiscent of a little Growlithe she once knew. Her hands rub lovingly at the dog’s sides. [break][break]

Ironically enough, the realization of who this Pokemon was this her faster than the man in front of her. The nickname, those bright green eyes. She gasps, still (impressively, at that) holding up the Arcaine in her arms. [break][break]
“Thomas?” She closes her agape mouth, gently gesturing the Arcanine off before approaching him. Now that she gets a closer look, despite the clear appearance changes, it was him! [break][break]

Nervous and her normally don’t mix. Though she has the raging temper of a Tauros, on the outside Abigail is determined to appear placid and lady-like (~~as much as she can stomach it, anyway.~~) Alongside her normal stylist license, she had also been certified to care for Pokemon's grooming needs. Though she had been so used to working with people, she worries slightly that her skills with Pokemon had gotten rusty, but like hell she’ll refuse an offer from a ranch! Big money![break][break]
The sweet smell of flowers wafts through the air as she moves further down the road, enjoying Verdanturf’s beautiful scenery. When she finally approaches the ranch, seeing all the sweet Pokemon out and about, her heart melts. The blond grins, clinging her supply bag closer to her as she walks toward the gates.[break][break]
“Aw! Aren’t y’all just the cutest! I can’t wait to take care of all of you.” She croons, orange-gold eyes shimmering at all the cuties lying around in the grass. An older guy, huh? Not that she minded, of course. Help is help no matter who gives a hand! Still, unlike her old man back home he seemed very sophisticated, or at the very least knew how to dress the part. If Abigail didn’t see the face of the client beforehand, she would’ve assumed this spoiled Pokemon belonged to him.[break][break]
Unlike with Furfrou this time around her smile is genuine, not a crease of stress to be seen. “No worries, gramps! Actually, I could use an extra hand holding the lass down here. She’s a rowdy one.” Normally she would express herself using tons of hand gestures while talking, but they’re currently preoccupied with lathering mounds of bountiful white fur. [break][break]
“And you can call me Abigail! Or Abby, for short. Whatever floats your boat. ” She grins, before refilling her small pail with water to rinse off the Furfrou, who shake’s its wet fur around. Ugh, such a messy job![break][break]

Though she came prepared with all her beauty supplies and brushes intact, this “Prized Furfrou” is what they call a spoiled brat. Working with diva people is annoying enough, but Pokemon? Well, Abigail can afford to expend a bit more patience with Pokemon, but regardless it wears thin.[break][break]
‘Just remember the prize money, Amber..’ she thinks to herself. Meanwhile, a forced smile paints across her face at the bratty dog in front of her. “Look, I get I’m not your normal stylist but I've made plenty of Pokemon contest perfect! The least you can do is work with me so you don’t look like a stray mutt out there.”[break][break]
The pompous Furfrou whips its head around, as if to bark back an insult, but is soon met with a bucket of room-temperature water dumped all over it. [break][break]
“Bath time, lovely!” She hums affectionately, brushing and cleaning the Furfrou who is anything but pleased to be bathed. She’s not sure if someone else was to join and help her out, but any distractions while she did her work would be appreciated. [break][break]

Deprived of any paternal warmth and love from the start of her life, Abigail's raised in a back-end, poorly funded orphanage in the Unova region. She’s instantly written off as a problem child, constantly got into fights and actively refused to get along with anybody, be it caretaker, potential adopter, or fellow child. Many foster families gave up on her within a week. Except for one peculiar middle-aged man.[break][break]
One day (average like any other) this man barged into her life and took her in. Her meals were always wrapped and prepared warm, clean beautiful clothes, and she had a room of her own, normal things she never had before.[break][break]
This wealthly man owned a dojo in the heart of the city and turns out, that she’s one hell of a fighter. Learning material arts helped her blow off much needed steam, and after a while, this old man and his son, albeit cruelly distant to her, began to feel somewhat like family she never had. It wasn't till years later that “Abigail Mikhaylov” discovered she was the illegitimate child of this man, birthed by his late misstress.[break][break]
She calls her father "papa" and “old man” but affectionately, and while she still has a bit of temper Amber became an adjusted woman over time.[break][break]
Years later, after finishing beauty school, she moved to the Hoenn region to Rustboro with the support of her father. She doesn’t get into nearly as much trouble as she once did, but isn’t afraid to start or finish a fight if she deems it worth her time.
