From savory smells to an overall pleasant atmosphere the ramen shop was a cozy little establishment. Cities came to life during the night. This was the type of environment she was used too, places Abigail found herself missing; hence the spontaneous trip to this little corner. [break][break]
Maybe she would take JAMES BAKER out here for a ramen date sometime. [break][break]
Just as she was about to enter the stall, she notices a familiar figure of a man and Pokemon, overhearing their conversation. [break][break]
“Small world, isn’t it?” Abigail remarks, crouching down slightly to greet the sweet little Eevee. She stands, greeting her brother with a less friendly approach. [break][break]
“Shi, take five minutes out from your schedule and feed the poor little angel. It looks thin.”[break][break]

She smiles at him. Flirting with him is fun, especially with how flustered he gets. Litten crawls up to her leg and rubs against it. Her hand glides down his back. [break][break]
“Duvet Ranch. It’s more-so a place to keep all his Pokemon together than an open ranch.” [break][break]
She especially loved coming over to see his Audino, though.[break][break]
“They’re all kind Pokemon, though. Lots of different personalities. I feel like a nanny more than their groomer at times.”She chuckles.[break][break]

Though the television was on there was a sight she was much more interested in seeing. What can she say? She likes a man that cooks. Abigail walks over to the chair by the counter and sits down, watches him prep their food. [break][break]
“Really? That is peculiar.. Was it an ancient one? I heard they can live a long time.”[break][break]
Like a living fossil they were. She’s been trying to brush up on her Pokemon trivia, Had to if she wanted to be a more serious trainer in the future.[break][break]
“It must be fun to work in a lab. You told me before you’re an assistant, right? I hope you actually get to do intriguing stuff instead of well, intern work.” [break][break]
After all, a cute face and brains shouldn’t be wasted on the tasks nobody wanted to do. [break][break]

Litten meows before going to lie down on his cat bed near the couch. He’s more like a pet to her than a battling Pokemon, but could be fierce if he wanted to be..[break][break]
Abigail turns on the television for them both. She liked the background noise. Seems like a rerun of the HOENN STAR TOURNAMENT was on..[break][break]
“I’ve been good. I started working for my friend’s ranch. He has so many Pokemon to groom and look after.”[break][break]
She speaks, stating it more as a fact than something she dreads doing. She likes to keep busy after all.[break][break]

She smiles softly, setting Litten down so he could inspect their guest, all while taking some grocery bags off his hands. She puts them on the nearby counter.[break][break]
“I just hope my kitchen is up to standard. I have pots and pans, just no time to really use them.”[break][break]
Having someone cook for her.. Well, it’s something new but welcomed all the same. [break][break]
“We could cook together if you’d like? I’d like to learn a thing or two about cooking.” She quietly hums, rocking slightly on her soles with interest. “Or we can relax a little first on the couch? I don’t mind either way..”[break][break]

It’s something new for Abigail to live completely alone. Whether it be a room full of strangers or in her house back in Unova, she was always used to somebody barging in. Now that she has a space of her own the silence was good for awhile, but now it’s become far too deafening. [break][break]
So why not invite somebody over to spend the night with? Especially someone she likes.[break][break]
This time she’s dressed far more casually, something more akin to suit being in the comfort of her own home despite expecting company coming over. [break][break]
When someone knocks on the door her Litten, Loki, is the first to alert her, meowing and scratching his claws at the door. Scooping the Pokemon up in her arms she opens up the door, and is openly surprised.[break][break]
“James- Oh, you brought groceries?” Litten cuddles into her chest, glaring unimpressed at her guest. While a kind gesture It confuses her, until she begins to piece it together. She smiles, shutting the door as he walks in. “Wait.. are you going to cook for me?”[break][break]

With more to explore she keeps walking. Then from the depths of the grass comes out a Fletchling. It flaps it’s tiny wings before settling atop a tree branch, looking out toward the vast, blue sky. It had beautiful coloring and a chirpy disposition, which Abigail found herself drawn too.[break][break]
She calmly approaches the tree with a stoic expression as to not startle the Pokemon. Then, she tosses a Safari Ball right at it, awaiting for the capture to confirm.[break][break]

A female Nidoran. They’re native to Kanto if she remembers correctly. Now that’s a Pokemon she finds herself wanting, desiring, even. Extremely cute, yet deadly given their poison type status. Just like her in a way..[break][break]
Staying a comfortable distance away in the tall grass, Abigail pulls out a Safari ball and tosses it right at the Nidoran-F. She watches the Pokeball shake with anticipation. [break][break]

She mirrors her older brother’s body language, arms crossed, expression stoic like a stone statue. However, her tongue is just as sharp as it usually is, like a snake.[break][break]
“Huh? It is not a shithole! I find it more pleasant than the stuffy city.”[break][break]
Abigail sighs, glances around his place of work out of pure boredom, not interest.[break][break]
“I’ve been here for a while. I had to track you down, though. Which wasn’t very hard compared to our eldest brother.”[break][break]

His hand guides hers, which honestly surprises her but it’s a pleasant one nonetheless. As her fingers graze against the petals the flower glows and a short burst of sparkling dust flies through the air.[break][break]
