Incineroar gives Xiura a dubious growl as they laboriously trek over tall, sun-warmed sand dunes.

"I'm telling you, Incineroar, I think a special boba tea themed after you will be a hit!" Xiura clasps her hands together in fervid determination.

Incineroar shrugs heavily in response.

"Squawk, squawk!"

An unconscious Wingull lands squarely in one of Incineroar's upraised paws.

Both parties look curiously upon the unfortunate creature for a few moments.

"Oh." A pregnant pause. "Good job, Incineroar?"

"Roarr?"

The Wingull is clearly coated in a layer of frost.

They come upon the crested slope of one of the dunes, where below, Xiura spots a young man and Lapras a close distance away.

"Oh, this makes much more sense now. Hello, there!" she calls out. "Are you subduing the Wingulls here too?"

To be honest, Xiura is feeling the strain too, her calf muscles screaming at her from struggling up the steep incline. At points during the climb, Bufo had placed a hand at her back to help support some of her weight as she picked up her feet to take each step. Some of the rocks had been growing slippery from the rain, but at least the shower was letting up gradually now.

"Not at all! I think it's a good idea to keep up our energy." Xiura glances around and guides the group to some raised rock slopes with a natural overhang so that they can sit and rest, protected from the waning rainfall.

As they take a seat, she takes a long swig from her water flask, setting down her pack and pulling out a wooden bento. She opens it and offers its contents to Bufo first; it's full of protein-packed rolled balls of peanut butter mixed with baked oats, flax seed, and honey for energy. Bufo takes one and munches happily on it, plopping down on the ground outside in the rain to soak in the last of the drizzle.

"Please take a few for you and Watts," she says, popping one in her own mouth, passing the bento to Jack.

Massaging her calves through the material of her leggings, Xiura takes another look at the map between the two of them. "It looks like we're in the general area where they want us to look, now. In those trees?" She takes another drink from her water bottle, pointing at the tropical verdure just up the trail.

She says, solemnly, "Perhaps in the best-case scenario, we find Arin sheltering. Three days though..." She trails off, glancing at Jack.
