so in other words, it's time to try and throw a pokeball again, in an attempt to dunk a man into the water. she's determined to stay up on there for three throws now. this became personal the moment she was dunked the first time and missed the last.

why in the ver living hell would someone design this kind of swimsuit? [break][break]

why in the ever living hell was she wearing it?[break][break]

it's tight. comfortable, but still tight, specifically around the chest area. the darkened parts of the swimsuit do a great job at hiding and covering up the sensitive parts, as a normal bikini would, anyways, but this was.. something. she can't believe that she was given this, can't believe that she was told to wear this. when she said she wanted a one piece, she didn't mean something that was still transparent to show off her stomach and her back. but if not for her, then why would her wooloo be so excited to hop onto the stage, too? unlike mari, who felt half naked, the wooloo's fleece was shining bright for everyone to see. when she walks onto the stage, embarrassment rises to her cheeks. for once, the eye patch has been removed, and she's left with her hair tied up into a higher ponytail - less to hide beneath the ashen locks. she still has a sun hat, though, which casts a shadow over her face as she carefully walks down the runway. she just needs to walk, strike a pose, then walk back. that's easy to do, right? [break][break]

right, so she takes a deep breath and makes smooth strides down with a wooloo who waddles at her side, she doesn't know what pose to give, so she only raises a hand to rest over her chest, and gives them a slight (albeit nervous) smile with the tilt of her head, and the gentle tug of her hat. her wooloo on the other hand lets out a hearty cry, doing a little spin around before they go on their ways back. and when she returns, she holds her chest, and nearly collapses to her knees with the wooloo ready to catch her. [break][break]

man.. that's too much anxiety.

... this guy? he looks like he'd sooner be a bodybuilder, with his physique. arceus. well.. she's not someone who can judge someone's occupation, but she'll still glance back at her papers with a ".. good luck.", knowing full well how difficult that path must be. [break][break]

though still, she hums, taking a glance towards the book cover once again. it's still embarrassing for her to admit, though, that "i tend to read.. a few of this person's books." her eyes narrow, idly flipping through the pages. ah, yes, the smell of books. she revels in them. [break][break]

"he has quite a bit of sci-fi" she hums "but there's a bit of mythology, as well." which intrigues her, what with how difficult it is to find anything about it. "and you can usually tell when a writer gets excited, based on how much thought is put into their work."

what he suggested was actually the usual procedure for these situations. the only issue is that it's often under regulated circumstances, so even having an electric pokemon use their electricity on the ampharos could start doing more damage than it could fix. luckily for the both of them, marisol came in prepared. she holds up a finger to him as she turns backs to her kit, though now to pull out a small device hooked up to multiple wires, with patches along it. on one side looks like a plug, leading into the small box with the knobs. she starts to peel away at the plastic covering the adhesive, moving towards the electric pokemon. "it'll feel a little cold, but bear with it, okay?" she hushes her voice to the electric pokemon, sticking the little pads onto the pokemon. one on each arm, leg, a few on the chest, and one on the forehead. there's a cringe from the pokemon, and he shivers, but she uses a free hand to stroke the electric pokemon's body. "it's okay." [break][break]

then she turns her attention back to her companion here, narrowing her eyes. "usually we would plug this into the wall, and have a regulated current run through to transfer" she grumbles, with a flip of the switch with her tone. "if you have a pokemon for this, i'll have to put these pads on them, too."

the sun's beating down on them. shade and trees help to alleviate the rays, but the dry air makes her feel worse. there's concern when she glares towards the sole of her sneakers, grinding the dusted, dry cracks in the dirt. the soil is starting to get too dry. the flora are able to survive now, but how long will that last? [break][break]

a question she doesn't want to face is brought up, and the response is pensive humming. her brows furrow as she raises an arm, pushing the bangs that cover the eyepatch over her head. "i hope not." a sigh pushes against her chest as a hand begins to wave and fan herself. "but if the meteor doesn't kill us" she watches as the roots are thrown in with the rest, then she closes the bag back up to turn an walk "then the barrier will, at some point."[break][break]

she hums, only walking a few paces. she lifts the eyepatch over an odd coloured eye to let the air in. ".. what do you think?"

well that was a spectacular failure. but even so, the mantine's probably a bit too into this, and he's probably a little bit too determined to get this right. she may as well appease it. "lets try again." she crouches a bit, patting the top of the ray's head. one more magikarp splash.

though there's also something soothing and calming about the water. though she does have to put effort into kicking around, it's soothing being able to glide through with her water pokemon. maybe she should do this more often.
