Honestly speaking, he had no idea how long they’d been there (observing wasn’t exactly his strong suit, but he always claimed he’d get better), but either way, they were there. Who, you might ask?[break][break]

Why, a familiar face![break][break]

One he recognized despite how that same face…honestly looked a lot like the faces of other Pokemon like them. It was honestly a bit ironic for him to remember (see the last set of parentheses. Poor, daft bat), but nevertheless, he immediately began to flap his wings before fluttering over.[break][break]

He invited himself to perch atop one of the branches of coral protruding from their form, leaning over and gazing down with an upside down view.[break][break]

”Hey!” he chimed, tilting his head while shifting his wings and hands slightly in greeting. ”You’re from that…one…Pokemon Center! Right?”

Mission or not, the ocean had always been a sight unworthy of weariness. Though the lot of his memories by the shores and open waters, alike, had been within the midst of the setting sun, there was a sense of appreciation carved deep within his soul as he gazed upon the shimmering sea within the striking brightness and brilliance of day. Though he hadn’t quite geared himself (while it was a possibility, he wanted to assume he wouldn’t need to don a suit), he did remain leaned against the side of the boat with a watchful eye. His head leaned softly and leisurely against his shoulder as his eyes trailed after the numerous specks of pink making their ways through the currents.[break][break]

”...Have you ever traveled far, yourself?” he hummed after some time, tilting his head just enough to glance across the boat. ”If you haven’t, I’d recommend it, if possible~.”

One down, another to go.[break][break]

The nerves of his first reunion only seemed to return as he found himself at the doorstep of yet another residence, but with the feeling relatively fresh in his mind, it was…oddly easier to deal with. Slightly, albeit, but still easier, nonetheless. There were a myriad of gifts and the like that he pondered on bringing.[break][break]

Champagne, but for some reason, he felt it wouldn’t have been as fitting as it was for Ana.[break][break]

Jewelry, but he’d been too far out of touch to even begin thinking about what her tastes could be.[break][break]

So, with a somewhat heftier bag in hand, he reached out to ring the doorbell by the door, itself. He looped it atop his arm before bringing it into a cross over his chest, idly and curiously eying the windows before beginning to stray his gaze towards the surrounding neighborhood. He hummed softly.[break][break]

”...Guess the hometown nostalgia isn’t for everyone~...” he murmured to himself, smiling softly.

He listened to the waves crashing in the distance.[break][break]

It was still, save for the currents. Peaceful. There, he held loosely onto the shoulder of a familiar Garchomp as the two of them remained submerged, and as the creature ferried him across the waters, he couldn’t help but allow his gaze to stray towards the horizon.[break][break]

Just like it did in the past, the sunset shone brilliantly against the water’s surface.

1) "Rumors say that the League is developing suits that match the style of a Pokemon a trainer has bonded with. Which Pokemon would you select as the style for your suit and what would it look like?"
I've always been a fan of fantasy-esque fashion, honestly— long coats, high boots, the works. If I had to pick a Pokemon, though...? I dunno, I feel like a Noivern could hit the spot color-wise.



2) "All skilled trainers have a rival! Who's your rival and why?"
The cliche answer would be myself. The honest answer would honestly be any rivaling game and tech companies.



3) "Do you agree with the League's plan to warp the incoming meteoroid into an alternate universe Hoenn? Why or why not?"
If it was the absolute only answer, maybe? But, like...if it was possible to warp an entire meteor into another universe, it should be possible to just...warp it into a different trajectory in our universe. Maybe my thought's too naïve, but why slaughter an entire region just 'cause it's not our own? If the tech's enough of a powerhouse to bypass dimensions, it should be able to solve the problem in house, right?



4) "What do you think of Avatars, people who have been bestowed powers by legendary Pokemon? Do you believe it to be a blessing or a curse, or is it something humans should not meddle with?"
Playing with fire. Whether it's a blessing or curse depends on the person, but I'd say it'd be better not to screw with that.



5) "Why do you support the League/Team Rocket? If you are a member of one of these formal organizations, what compelled you to join?"
I don't support the groups, personally. I support the method and morality. You can think what you want, but even if people think one side is "bad" and one side is "good," both sides are still equally likely to do some messed up shit.



6) "Select one of the following events and explain how it affected you. The Slateport Rocket Invasion, the Slateport Night Market Blacephalon Attack, the Ultra Beast Attacks on Mossdeep, The Ultra Beast War, the Sootopolis Takeover."
The Ultra Beast War impacted me more than anything else.

Been blasting The End is Where We Begin on loop since the album dropped. That right there's what's always been up my alley.



8) "Do you believe in free will or fate/destiny? Why? If the latter, do you believe you know what your destiny is?"
Neither and both at the same time. Things happen. Things may or may not be changed. That's just how it is.



9) "What is your greatest fear? If faced with said fear, how will you handle it?"
Can't say I know, but I'd just handle it as well as I could. Simple.


10) "What is your love language? How do you express affection and how do you like to receive it? If you are adverse to intimacy, why?"
After thinking on my own for some time, maybe...some cross between quality time and acts of service?



11) "If you could be a Pokemon or have a Pokemon represent who you are, which Pokemon would it be and why?"
No clue, honestly.



12) "How do you feel about your own mortality (or immortality)? If you were to die tomorrow, what would you do today?"
...Because I could die tomorrow, I've already resolved to live my life to the fullest. I'll burn bridges and rebuild old ones as needed.



13) "How do you carry yourself? How vocally expressive are you? How bodily expressive are you? Are there any catchphrases or verbal ticks that you find yourself repeating? Where do you think they come from?"
I'd like to think confidently. Wouldn't say I'm too obnoxious, but if you think I wouldn't take a chance to poke fun, you'd be wrong.



14) "Are you in the process of learning a new skill or researching a curious topic? What are you studying and why?"
Oh, I absolutely am— but that in itself is a secret.



15) "What do they need and want out of relationships (humans or Pokemon), and how do they go about getting it?"
Lots of things, really, and the ways are situational. ...I'd say anyone and everyone just wants to have companionship and understanding, though.

all things considered, it was—is—your magnum opus. what started as an indie company quickly grew into something much, much more—overwhelmingly so, in the beginning—thanks to connections and other things. much like the core of your family, there was always something about technology that fascinated you— but rather than delving into the avenues of entertainment or general appliances, you’d found yourself enraptured by the world of experimentalism. what could you accomplish through robotics? the work of a tinkerer? how many inventions could you invent for the benefit of others? how many lives could you possibly save with the right devices and connections?[break][break]

you yearned to figure out the answers to those questions yourself, so you kept to your studies and craft with utmost care. [break][break]

between degrees in electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, you used what you learned in order to work with specialists and other technicians and begin the process of creating various prototypes with the hope of eventually releasing them to the public.[break][break]

studies. drafts. tapping on connections; expanding on builds; bringing your plans on paper into the real, living world. the cycle kept going, and with each prospective device produced and lent out to other companies, the more your efforts and results kept on going. the life of a workaholic was one you embraced quite well and quite quickly, creating the front of a steadfast and dedicated worker in the eyes of your employees. driven by nothing short of pure curiosity and hopes for the future, you forged on, and on, and on.[break][break]

and then the past caught up with you.

although your free time was always fleeting and kept beneath a vice grip, you always did do your best to contact your family whenever possible. it wasn’t like you forgot them, after all, and if anything, you always felt bad for not having the time to be around. ironically enough, you’d thought about paying them a visit just before you’d received news of your brother’s passing.[break][break]

you were shocked.[break]
it was one of the few times you dropped everything in an instant.[break][break]

the funeral was solemn for obvious reasons. the reality of it all took a while to sink in for you, and it was already some time after returning to unova that it seemed to fully settle in— and with it, the anxiety of taking everything you knew for granted. you always knew that mortality was something everyone had to face, but just like the masses, you always assumed you wouldn’t have to deal with it until later in life. you were unprepared. you were shaken.[break][break]

and so in the midst of it all, you took the initiative.[break][break]

you placed the supervision of the home branch of eventide in the hands of a close and trusted friend and employee—one of the first you’d welcomed into your inner circle—before making the executive decision of opening another branch in hoenn. plans were made swiftly, just as the location and construction of the new building had been. you moved in quickly; a native in foreign lands after so many years.[break][break]

you were here to build your empire.[break]
you were here to rebuild your bonds.[break][break]

you were here to make sure more precious, precious time wasn’t wasted, but then, well… it just so happened that your beloved home had other plans.[break][break]

you really don’t remember when hoenn became such a shitshow, to be perfectly honest. by the time you returned, there were already rumors on the wind and tragedies that befell the region. you got caught in the middle of it by what was arguably your own volition each time, savior complex be damned. you got trapped. got caught in a war that you still don’t remember much of, and have little to speak for it, save for a dormant ring.[break][break]

to this day, you’re still processing everything, admittedly enough. at some point following the calamities, work happened to call your attention back to the main branch of eventide. you were conflicted about leaving for a number of reasons, but ultimately, you did what you had to do. maybe leaving was what you needed, anywho. seeing old, familiar sights. being away from the other states of the world. something related to normalcy to give you the breath of fresh air that you needed in the aftermath of it all.[break][break]

so, you breathed it all in. did what you had to do. came back, even then.[break]
rinse and repeat.
