Noah's defensive style of combat was working for once, it was fairly surprising since his last battle had an awful result and an even worse bitter taste in his mouth. If he wanted to do anything he knew he had to go into the offensive, he just had to see the right time for it. The Earthquake meeting with the Sludge Wave felt almost biblical in a way, something he could tell stories about.[break][break]

From here on though, the fight would only escalate int pure insanity. The very strange looking man would go towards Hailee for the one on one, the move itself made complete sense, still a very strange thing to see when someone as Noah had grown participating and watching proper pokemon battles. Before he could react and help her he would be jumped, but by the enemy pokemon. [break][break]

Dip, ducking and dodging. Those were the only reactions that Noah could process at the heat of the moment, he had to jump and roll away from the pokemon's Gunk Shot. The tyranitar was simply too big and too slow to react to anything like that, it was time for it to return to it's pokeball, that was what the defensive Noah would have thought. But this time he was about to strike back.[break][break]

"Strike back, Titan!" With the debris all around them, making this the perfect playing ground for a tyranitar. Picking up a slab of stone it would throw it towards the Poipole, Tyranitar would use Stone Edge. Hoping to land a blow significant enough for him to have time to help Hailee on her battle with the strange Rocket member.[break][break]

Oh lord, he coming. Noah really was not paid enough for this, not at all. Perhaps if he survives he should quit and never try anything that has to do with working under the government, that sounded perfect. The whole fighting thing away from his family really didn't fit well with his own ideology and it was probably going to show, there was only so much kindness someone would and could give while protecting strangers over his family. At least right now he had someone he wanted to protect. [break][break]

What a strange man they were facing right now, talking about food at a time like this. Perhaps him and Noah could have been food buddies in a different world, but it was not this world. He wasn't about to fail the Slaport Rangers just yet. "No one goes through!" He'd say as complementary comment to Hailee's own. [break][break]

Her Hydro Pump did help them and that was good but that was just one small step that they had to take to reach victory. Their enemy would respond to them with another move. This time it was toxic spikes, this would make their movement complicated and dangerous, Noah himself knew his Tyranitar would be able to take for now but on the long run it would be questionable. "Level the field Tyranitar!" Quickly commanding his pokemon who would take a few steps into the spikes while stomping the grounds, making waves as the ground trembled and cracked, creating an EARTHQUAKE. Noah hoping that somehow a broken piece of ruble would block off the sludge wave. Perhaps his aoe abilities might become too much for a city to take but he was willing to take that burden for now. War... War ever changes. Noah had started thinking like an old man, as if he had seen serious combat like this before, like the world around him had cracked into two sides forever fighting each other without the initial memory of why and how everything started. [break][break]

In front of him the estranged person came towards him and Hailee, moving like a fierce animal ready for the kill. Hailee the first out the two to make her move, using Lilli and it's Hydro Pump to perhaps counter the man's own Gunk Shot.[break][break]

Noah himself being thankful that Titan had already been out of it's pokeball. Quickly glaring towards their target he'd let out a command towards his Tyranitar. "GO! Stone Edge! Titan." The Tyranitar would stomp the ground before picking up a rock piece and throwing it towards the Poipole. Having faith that Hailee's move would be defensive enough to let him go on a more aggressive stance.[break][break]

As the maddening shriek from a unknown entity filled the air, signaling the soon to begin chaotic ambulances that were to take over everyone that was within the once safe Littleroot Town. Noah knew that no one was safe in this war, he knew some would return home in a much worse state that they had arrived here, on both sides. He could only hope that he wouldn't be one of the unlucky ones. [break][break]

He'd listen to the orders that Tam Fawley would give him but he would also stay near Hailee Jacobs, the one that could calm him and the one he would fight for in the blink of an eye, truly a double edged sword in real combat, but a risk he was willing to take as long as she was near and safe.[break][break]

With the orders in mind he'd finally release his Tyranitar from it's pokeball, Titan more than happy to stretch it's legs before a battle. The titanic pokemon would roar as it readied itself along with Noah. Once they had been situated beside the theater and the area they were meant to defend with all their might. "Someone is coming our way, Hailee!" Noah would speak up as he would bump her in the shoulder and point towards a stranger that he had never seen in his short life. He'd LOCK EYES with them, hoping Hailee would soon join him.[break][break]

The fact that Noah had been stationed there really showed him how nightmarish the League could be. Despite all the bad and awful things they had spewed about Rocket and their machinations. They really had taken people out of their towns and cities like they had been conscripted into the army, families left without sons and daughters, father and mothers to fight in a war that had nothing to do with them. There was a difference between protecting something so the meteor could be maybe stopped but throwing them in front of Rocket was cruel when things were about to end. [break][break]

One could say that the only reasons he'd be there was for Hailee Jacobs and Tam Fawley. He felt disgusted about the idea that he didn't want to be there, he didn't want to sacrifice himself for people that he didn't know, people who were likely not even going to be in the front lines with them. His issues did not lie within the normal and simple citizens of Hoenn, his anger and frustrations were towards the top brass, the government who hid behind their tables, inside their ivory towers and high horses. The only thing he'd reply towards the orders that was given to his group was a simple "Understood." Unlike some of the members from his group he didn't exactly have anything to help them or anything that could be used to help them, most of his pokemon were purely trained for straight combat, the simplest way of dealing with things. He wouldn't use any pokemon yet, in his mind a Tyranitar or a Gyarados would only slow them down due to the area they were in or even give away their positioning. He'd move forward along with the Slateport squad.[break][break]

As Noah followed his heart and his hands moved places he did not think he'd ever touch, her skin as smooth and perfect as velvet. His heart hadn't stopped beating fast ever since they kissed for the first time inside his apartment, everything after that had been a beautiful blur that he'll never forget. Hailee's perfection mimicked a painting. He wanted her so much, he was trying so hard to take it slow, his desires, needs and wants all within his grasp. Hailee's smirk, taking his mind to all the good places, his imagination and desires taking over once more. [break][break]

Watching as Hailee's hand moved towards the second strap that was resting at her shoulder. It felt as if the world was on ultra HD and slow-motion, while her romper fell to her hips, Noah had seen her with this little clothing before but this time there was a different intent and vibes in the air, this time they could use each other for whatever they wanted, it excited him a lot. Once she leaned down and kissed him, his body would instantly react by having his hands caress her body all the way to her waist where he would hold her. He was reaching his limit, lads. He wanted to be her's and to have her for himself. [break][break]

As their kissed deepened and her hands started working her magic with the buttons of his shirt, he could feel her fingers brushing his skin gently, shivers passing through his body, he wanted more. He'd mimic her hands motions on his chest with his own hand, brushing his hand from her waist to her back making his way further towards her behind. The combo of her pulling on his belt and the bite on his lip, making him even more excited. Hailee truly knew what he wanted and liked, she was bound to have felt it again. [break][break]

The want to go further only stopped by knocks at his door? WHY? WHO? WHEN? This was just Noah's luck. His mind asking millions of questions as his heart tried to catch up by beating at what felt like the speed of light. Everything made even worse as Hailee spoke his name and now keys started rattling at the door. He wanted to help Hailee with her hiding troubles but he also needed to stop whoever was at the door. Hailee herself was fighting for her life with clothing but she was amazing enough that she won that battle, Noah knew as soon as she slipped through the sliding doors. Now it was his time to try and bamboozle his way out of this one.[break][break]

The only people that had the extra keys to his place were his parents, for safety reasons of course. In this split second Noah had to find a way to hide his excitement from his parents and try to push them out his house as kindly and quickly as possible. He looked like a mess already, belt pretty much undone, shirt unbuttoned and open, messy hair. "Fuck!" He'd quickly say before jumping into the couch and laying down, cushion hiding the truth that parents should never have to see. He was trying to look as chill as possible as his parents budged in to the unlit living room.[break][break]

"There you are! We were calling and you weren't picking up so we decided to come over and drop some food from the truck." Noah's mother was the first to speak up and drop off a tupperware with food at the table. "You okay, hun? You look a bit feverish." A concerned note within her voice. "No no noooo no! I'm okay! Just trying to relax from the long day at the splashfest! With the sun and the stupid Mantines, just trying to take a breather with some fresh air in my living room. Alone. By myself hahahaaaa" Noah would reply, still flushed red, sweating and flustered. "If you say so little Noah." His mother would smile once again before heading back towards the door where his father awaited with some wise words. "If you want some fresh air you should open the windows then." His dad would say while closing the door and leaving Noah back to his dark living room, "alone". [break][break]

Taking a deep breath of relief before once again remembering in flash. "Hailee!" Noah would pick himself up in the blink of an eye and head towards the sliding doors, searching for her. "They're gone!" He'd say before reaching his bedroom. "We're safe..." He'd swallow dry when remembering what they were doing, the exciment growing once more. "We're safe to continue..." The words would leave his lips right as he reached the door of his bedroom.[break][break]

Halloween had always been Noah's favorite holiday, very much like many around his age, mostly due to how the restaurant would have a small break before Christmas. He had jumped on the opportunity to take part in the party as fast as he could, rare were the moments that Tam Fawley would give them the opportunity to take a break from work, poor were the ones that were left to take over their shift but that was a problem for a Different Noah, not the Noah about to join the party.[break][break]

Noah would enter within the vicinity that the other Rangers were situated at, first noticing Orion Lykos and how badass his costume looked, then noticing the next person who he did not know, at first thinking that a cop had already come to bust the party. "Heyo guys! Is Orion looking so cool that the party is being shut down by the police already!?" Noah would say with a smile while greeting the two of them. Noah had already been wearing his own costume, hand made by none other than his favorite fashionista Hailee Jacobs . It was just his favorite superhero while growing up, Ariados-Man.[break][break]

Placing down a big plate filled with small appetizers on a table nearby, for everyone. Next up he'd make his way towards his favorite Captain, offering a smile before saying anything. His Captain who had gone completely the opposite of Orion costume wise, looking like he had wore something from the evidence room, previously confiscated from a very bad burglar. "Everything going as planned Cap?" He wanted to get fully situated before introducing himself fully to the one Ranger there he did not know. Maybe Tam could actually introduce them? Oh Arceus he hoped so. Perhaps they weren't even from Slateport and were an old friend of Tam!? Maybe they would be able to hear even more about Tam's heroics as a Ranger, the night was still young after all.[break][break]

"Hailee should be arriving soon, probably got caught up doing her makeup." Noah would mention since he knew how much it meant for her to match her looks with the costume she had picked, which he was super curious to see since she had kept it a secret even from him.[break][break].

Noah was thoroughly thankful for the training that he had received from the Ranger academy for situations almost similar to this one. The space-time rift being the one thing that was actually scaring him at this point, different forms of some known pokemon, only knowledge being from reports and loose conversations he had heard from random Rangers here and there. It did feel awful, the air was felt heavy with energy and tense.[break][break]

At least he wasn't alone in this, coming to terms with that situation once Tam Fawley told him to be careful with any moves with such destructive power as earthquake, Noah should have learned that from previous battle he has had but here he was using moves like there would be no consequences. "Ooooops" Would be his only mental response to that, nothing he could do now but at least he knew that and wouldn't keep thinking about it, no better time to learn than now. "Won't happen again, Cap."[break][break]

Taking small glances towards Hailee Jacobs and the refugees that were being moved to a safer location only to realize that she had found her own battle to fight, notably because of the loud Roar that had come from her direction. Noah wanted to support both her and Tam while they took care of the pokemon in front of them, a strange Sneasler and a weird Aggron. Sadly, that supportive and thoughtful plan would be stopped by fate. The strange Typhlosion that Titan had engaged with had picked itself up and was looking mighty pissed towards Titan. Noah would sigh to himself as he watched the Typhlosion charged towards Titan. "How long do we have to hold them back!? They seem a little spicier than normal pokemon?" Not wanting to let the incoming panic come through his voice. He was afraid after all but he had to stand his own ground now, they each had their own problems to deal with right now. Despite them fighting separately, they all depended in each other in some form, as a team of Rangers should be.[break][break]

Little did they know that the real way to have a space-time distortion appearing was having Tam smile, scientifically proven right on this day and right on this thread, simply no way to even argue against this unbelievable find. The moment Tam called out to Noah and Hailee, he knew something bad was about to go down and honestly that just sounded how Hoenn was. They had been healing people and helping refugees, but not even the region wanted to side with them.[break][break]

"C-captain!" Noah would confirm his captain's orders by throwing his own pokeball into the fray, and his own Tyranitar coming out with a roar, Titan was now on the case along with Tam's Tyranitar. This had been the first time that Noah would be dealing with a space-time distortion, his knowledge being small tid bits he would have heard or read from reports, all he knew was that he didn't like the feeling he was getting at all.[break][break]

As Hailee cleared people into safety and lily stayed on the defensive, it was time for Noah to do his job and go on the offensive and help out Lily. "Let's shake things up!" Noah would command Titan by pointing towards the strange Typhlosion. Titan would charge towards the weird pokemon with a bodycheck and use Earthquake, not knowing what would exactly happen but still having the hopes of leaving an opening for either Hailee or Tam to join the scuffle.[break][break]

As Hailee's laughter broke the small silence between them, Noah couldn't help but smile and notice that he had done nothing wrong, despite how clumsy that was or even despite how the vibe had suddenly flipped on it's head. As long as Hailee was smiling he felt like the world was in the right place. Her burst of laughter meaning the world to him, they could stay like this the whole night and it would still be the most special and precious night of his life. [break][break]

"Love you too." The power of her words, the warmth of her body on top of his as she embraced him. Her smile, her chuckles, her touch, everything had fallen into place once again but it took a moment for Noah to realize it, the moment of realization only hitting him when Hailee started teasing him once more. "You know if you wanted me on top of you, you could've just said that too." Suddenly his cheeks becoming red like a berry once again, the difference this time he had the perfect opportunity to tease back.[break][break]

"Well... The sofa was just begging to join us... So you know, I couldn't say no to something that supported us for so long." Noah would say with a smirk on his face. "You do look absolutely amazing on top though, I wouldn't change a thing." Well, there was definitely something he wanted to remove from the equation but he wouldn't say it, he'd rather act on it before he second guessed himself and his future actions.[break][break]

He really couldn't help himself, she was perfect. One hand once again finding it's way towards Hailee's thighs, caressing her. The other hand towards her arm and up her shoulder, feeling her skin till it reached the strap holding her top up, slowly sliding it down her arm. Making sure this was something that they both wanted, not wanting to push forward too fast despite the want to go further. Hailee being on top and positioning there, she would definitely feel where Noah wanted to go with this, not that he could help it, the body knew what it wanted and so did the mind.[break][break]

Noah had found himself a seat next to Hailee Jacobs near the pizza, along with the rest of the Slateport Rangers, like a unit. Clearly the best behaved group out of all the other rangers here, even if Calliope Marks was being a little aggressive, with good reason though. They had been given their orders, they had been pretty much told what to do. Fighting right now was nothing more than a pissing contest in all it's glory.[break][break]

For the most part Noah would keep to himself and bite down on a pizza slice, he was a Ranger Cadet, everything being spoken about was far beyond his pay grade. In his food filled mind he shouldn't even be here, this felt like something that only the captains and anyone above that, noting that he didn't even know anyone that was above Tam, nor did here really care at this point. Speeches were being given, threats and insults were being thrown and nothing would be resolved, it was amazing.[break][break]

As of right now Noah would only really care about Tam's opinion and the fact that they were already given a task to complete so the only saucy thing he cared for was the pizza in front of him. Now witnessing @arashi leave, Noah would lean over to Hailee Jacobs and whisper. "Could you pass a message to Tam Fawley and ask if we could also leave? We have our orders already." Hoping that she could pass on the message to the Slateport Ranger next to her until it reached their captain. There was no point on staying and watching the Rangers fight each other.
