Matt thought about those words. It was something weird to him. Usually, he saw things in black and white... but this was getting him thinking. Maybe this is why people tolerated things they didn't like? Or would turn a blind eye? It hurt his head, honestly.

Sighing, he rubbed his eyes. This whole weird friendship/enemies- whatever it was. It hurt Matt. It was nice to actually have someone his age, that wasn't a childhood friend or boyfriend, to relate too. He wasn't sure if he was older, but still, Isaac kind of felt like an annoying older brother. Bah!

He hated this.

"I don't understand it really, but I'll mull it over." Aka, I need to think. "...You wanna exchange numbers?"

"I thought helping raise my six siblings would get me ready for anything, it sure did not."

Sighing a breath of relief, he went down to pick up Kazzy and hug the pup to his chest. Also just to make sure he wasn't actually hurt. Inspecting him by turning him every which way in the air. Once he was determined he was fine, he was tucked back to his chest to cling to his beloved doggy.

"You just a gym leader, or do you ranger too?" He asked because of his friend, Josh Devlin. It was curious to see how many people doubled their jobs.

Kazzy whined, looking so upset over this. No, he didn't want to be a river dog! That wasn't his calling! what the hell was a coconut?! Ears pinned back, looking so sad, until Isaac said they were going back and he got pets. Yipping happily and licking his face. Yay!

As they got closer, Kazzy gave Isaac a final kiss then jumped off to go barreling after the growlithe. Going to playfully pounce on top of him and roll around, play time.

Matt adjusted as he sat on top of Nana, more so leaning on top of her to get comfortable. Mulling over just what Isaac said to him. after becoming a ranger himself, everything felt like it had so much more weight too it. Chewing the inside of his cheek, before sighing some.

"I don't understand how you can act like this and work for them."

Oh, that was kind of hot. Why was his boyfriend so attractive? was he just tired from getting his ass handed to him by a giant red blob and it's twinkie blue brother? Yeah, probably. Though he was stepping back, going to take a hold of Nico's arm. "What exactly are you do-"

Matt fell clear on his ass, eyes huge and jaw dropped. Holy shit. Looking up at Nico, he looked very impressed. "God damn babe, you really are him." he teased, getting back up and kissing his cheek. "Kind of hot." He teased him, sticking out his tongue.

Finally settling his eyes on Isaac, he wrinkled his nose. "I say that's all our cues to get out of here. Rather not spend anymore time in the back gross place." Plus... the screaming people and heat was a lot. His head already hurt as did the rest of his body.

"Let's not get caught by a cop or ranger."

Matt took a deep breath. Getting out his phone, it trembled in his hand. Exhaling slowly, he decided he needed to go back inside. As he turned to go, he overheard... Josh? Was that, Josh??? of all people??? Yelling??? That instantly got him ready to start a fight. Who upset Josh?

Walking around, he was sticking to the back to avoid most eyes, hopefully he closed the door quietly enough... He saw the lady he dashed out on without saying hello too, earlier, Julia Davis, if she looked his way he offered an apologetic look. But soon he grabbed his phone, texting Anna a quick 'wtf?' before focus went back...

Were they talking about him? Then he heard what it was all about. His eyes narrowed, brow arched as he stood behind Josh. Staring over his shoulder hard at the man, arms crossed. "Say it to my face next time, fucker." He snapped, then turned and walked to stand against a wall. Eyes glaring forward as he waited for their glorious leader to keep speaking.

Ace kept snuggling into his box, slowly eating his apple. He seemed a very slow type of pokemon, being one known for going fast and being a ride mon of Matt. Really that box was just flat by him sitting in it. Looking up, he peeked over at the trainers, before went back to his traet.

Kazzy yapped, the tail wagging excitedly behind him a mile a minute. Before his eyes went huge, reaching up to go and gobble up the treat. Managing to catch it as he flipped and started to furiously shake his head to act like he was killing it.

Matt at first found this ritual Nico liked to do, well, absolutely silly! So silly. Why was his boyfriend silly? He loved his silly, though. Having let Ace out to join the party, the absol looked between them. head tilted to teh side, before looking at Matt- were they not on a mission?

"Not a mission buddy, look, Nico's got you somethin'."

Ace carefully padded forward, sniffing the box. Bright red eyes focused on Nico for a momen, then peaked his nose over the box. Sniff... sniff. Then he climbed into the box, crushing it in the process, to sit in it and eat his apple. Matt blinked owlishly. "You're a weird dog."

Shrugging, he gave Kazzy a look- spotting the puppy about to charge. "Ask. Nicely." He commanded, having been trying to work on commands for the hyperactive dog. Kazzy froze, looking at Matt, then at Nico... and put on the biggest saddest eyes he ever could, standing up on his back paws and begging.

Kazzy whined, but saw he was floating. Well okay, that was good! Looking around, he soon realized... he was surrounded by water. Now barking frantically for Matt to come get him! How dare he let him get stuck out here! Totally wasn't his fault, not at all!

"Oh no you don't, you ain't gonna yap at me to get you when you did this yourself. Either swim back or see if he'll bring you to shore." Matt was not going in after him or putting him in his ball, was his own fault!

Looking to Nana, he climbed on top of the arcanine to follow the lazy river ride. "...What got you into what you do?"

Wow everything was turning into a whirlwind of a show. Matt looked very uncomfortable about this. He knew the news, how it sparked panic with the ones who did know. It wasn't fun. It wasn't his first thought though when he joined up, honestly.

Starting to feel like it was getting warmer in here, Matt was trying to scoot his way to the back of the room. Hoping to just blend in and disappear off and out the door. It wasn't to be rude- it was just feeling very intense to him and he needed air. Yes, air was good. But he didn't realize he had just vanished on annalise henderson and Josh Devlin. Hopefully they wouldn't be upset with him for going out to get some fresh air.

He hurried out so fast he still had his plate, blinking at how everything was messed to the side from his hurrying to get out. Shrugging, he still ate it, or at least a bite of it. It hit his stomach wrong, so he went to toss it in the trash. Rubbing his eyes and taking a very deep breaths. He just needed a few minutes..

Matt was laughing, it was nice to feel like he could cut up. Really show off how much of a goofball Matt could be, when he wasn't trying to brood or be a badass ranger. Seeing him float down the river was amusing- wait he had a Riolu? Did he and him really have to mirror so many pokemon? Now it was just getting weird!

Kazzy's eyes locked onto Isaac, looking very upset he was in the water! Whining and starting to pace, watching him- and it was too late. "No!" Matt tried to dive for him and missed- and Kazzy went off the edge to land right onto Isaac's chest, probably knocking the poor other Riolu into the water or at least further back. Kazzy whined and pawed at his face- such concern!

"Kazzy! Bad! You can't just- you know what, you can do that to him. Him is fine."

The slow head turn Matt gave Isaac could have struck fear into people who did not know him. Or people who did know him, really. That dark glint in those red eyes, as a devious smirk spread over his face. Revealing a pair of what look like sharp canines- what even exactly was this man?

"Oh yeah?" He said, soon looming over Isaac, using his height for the advantage. "And who denied it supplied it, and need a good rinse." Matt, Matt NO-

He grabbed Isaac, with enough pressure to not be rough- very practiced because of his siblings, and he literally tossed Isaac right into the water below. Leaning over the bridge with a smug ass face, waving his nose teasingly. "Make sure you wash off good, down there."
