It was good Matt had dove so many times during the Splashfest- it was keeping him from drowning from this bloody milotic's suicidal actions with the humans on it's back. Kicking back he swam for the surface- makin gsure to make sure Nico was too.

Getting a breath of air, he only stared as his boyfriend went BACK down to go help. "Really? You know I can't do shit!" He called after him, having no good swimming pokemon- well fuck. Huffing, he shook his head. "If I drown before I propose to you I'm hauntin' your ass."


Taking a deep breath, he dove back down after Nico and his pokemon. All that practice made him a good swimmer and easier to hold his breath, catching up below to the squabbling pokemon. Seeing one Corsola within the grasps of... whatever that was, he went and grabbed the pokemon, snatching it away from the predator, letting it swim away in a hurry.

Matt was so busy trying to find out what he was doing- he didn't notice the others. Until he turned around, spotting Kyrenai Black. Oh, his eyes actually lit up. He jogged over towards her, waving. "hey!" He said, sounding a lot more happy. Much less tense about the whole situation now.

"Didn't expect you here." He was glancing around, everything this puzzle was... well, a little annoying. He wasn't getting it. But he had to keep trying, yeah? "You got any ideas?" He said, winking at her with a playful smirk. "Also, we so gotta catch up after- Sure Nana would love to see Mini."

With that, he was going back to the wall. Pushing random buttons, just to see what would happen. That's probably not the best tactic to use.

Tugging his own helmet to adjust it, he waited for the signal to go. Once he came, he gently smacked the side of Nana with his heel. She took off in a blaze of speed. Matt was focused on keeping his eyes on the course than paying attention to the competitors.

Nana flung dirt behind her as she began to build up her speed. Using those claws to propel herself forward. Flinging so much dirt behind her, until they came up to the first hill. Snarling, she grabbed the ground going downwards with her paws, flinging herself forward to gain more speed as she traveled down hill.

The process was repeated each time they came to the hills- until the las tone. She flung herself over the dip, paws connecting with the land on the other side with a yip of excitement. She was having so much fun, the wind in her mane, her trainer racing with her- it was a dream come true for the both of them.

Turns were always a difficult thing for Nana- but they had been practicing! Attempting the left and right turns- she was trying so hard. With Matt leaning into the turns, hooking his legs into his straps to make sure he did not get thrown off with her turns. It was all in practice!

"Big words," Matt said with a smirk, as he and Nana went up to the starting arch. "Let my racing speak for me, not your jibber gabber." He said, sticking his tongue out at Josh. He was here to race, not here him go on and on about stuff! He wanted to win this race.

Nana shook out her fur, snorting out flames through her nostrils. Giving all the other fire types a look, holding her head high, like she was the best one here! Matt laughed at her attitude. It was a little infectious as he was grinning at Josh, ready to go!

Matt lifted a brow, oh really now? Well, he'd note that for later. Instead, he was focused on his pokemon. Watching closely as the two slowly and slowly got more closer. Watching as the pup got excited and exposed it's belly, Matt thought he might die of cuteness.

Nana watched, getting so closer- her tail wagging so fast it was sending gusts of wind to Matt and blowing his hair out of the way. Barking happily as the pup go closer, she went and buried her nose into his side, nuzzling and yipping. Going to circle around him and then shove him right into her side.

She looked so happy, nuzzling and now grooming her little pup. Looking up to Kyr, giving her a small nod, before going back to focusing on her pup. They were dirty! Needed a bath!

Kyrenai Black

Matt listened with burning ears. Drinking up ever word like it was precious water. This was close! So close, could this be one of Nana's missing babies? "Arrest them? Are you a ranger?" That would explain some things.

As she asked the question about Nana, the arcanine was sniffing the air just as vigorously. Lowering herself to the ground and crawling forward, whimpering and her tail wagging behind her. Eyes wide as she stared at the little pup, could Matt really have found one?

"Seems she wants to meet him! He's more than welcome."

Honestly he did not expect anyone to answer. Which is what worried him the most about it. Rubbing Nana's mane, he waited- and waited-

Then someone showed up. Looking over, he saw the fiery red hair first. A smile came to his face as she asked about the posters; yes!

"I am!" He seemed actually excited. "This is Nana." He motioned to his Arcanine. "I found her being poached along with her pups, and I've been trying to find them to let her reconnect with them, or take them in." He really hoped this was a lead.

"Did you have information?"

A quick wave to Shelly and Matt walked into the gym with Nana at his side. Holding onto her reigns, he was double checking to make sure he had all his gear. Helmet, straps, the saddle was fitted right, everything seemed good.

Nana was prancing next to Matt, looking quite proud of herself! Tail wagging as she looked around the gym she had seen before, nudging at Matt with a yip. "Yup, today's the day we actually race him for real." Nana barked, looking quite excited.

Chuckling, he patted her mane, then hitching himself up into her saddle. Adjusting the straps on his legs to be tight enough to hold him down, also pulling on some riding gloves. He was making sure he was super prepared to handle the speed he was going to be going today.

Now where the heck was Josh?

Matt entered the place without a word. The puzzles along the walls and pretty much every where was very over the top. He half wished he had nicodemus unken with him, he was better at puzzles than him. Ah well, time to prove he could be smart.

Honestly though the place was loud and somewhat overwhelming to his senses. But he was enjoying it nonetheless. He was supposed to be scared, right? Eh. It wasn't that scary in here, just dark and creepy. So he went searching along the walls, trying to find any detail or help that would lead him to the exit.

Honestly he gets distracted at the rubix cubes, grabbing one and fiddling with it for a few moments Changing the colors before he quickly got them back into place. A little smirk to himself, before he put it back. There was supposed to be others here, right?

Oto cawed and moved out of the way, taking back to the sky as Nana was left with Josh. Nana was snarling- she almost looked feral. When Josh got close, he could see how she tensed. Something was terribly wrong. Once Josh had gotten to her back, the canine gave him one warning look-

Then she took off like a Zubat out of Hell.

Nana navigated through the city, dodging what late night people were there. In the sky, Oto followed as he flew over the building surrounding the city and back to where Matt and Isaac had been, in case he needed to go back and redirect Nana.

However Nana was running so hard it was like she was almost using Extreme Speed. Pushing herself so hard over her limit to get back to her trainer, busting through the city exit and back along the outskirts of the wall back to the correct location.

Josh Devlin Isaac Merlo

Paws landed heavily on the ground as Nana ran. The pesudo-legendary was a orange blur as she raced through the streets. Above her followed Oto- the bird flying with high speed. Whoever was awake at this hour were shrieking and getting out of the way of the large canine that was rushing through the streets. Luckily no one blocked the path of the bird in the sky.

Nana knew Josh's scent, she followed it. Rage and hurt was flowing through her blood. Into her brain, making her forget everything around her. Just to know to follow the scent. Find Josh. Save Matt-

She came to the apartment complex, snarling in anger at the door that blocked her. Slamming herself into it, it shattered, wood splinters going everywhere. Shaking her fur out, she looked frantically through the house. Where was he. She honestly didn't care if any of his pokemon were about to straight out attack her- she had to find Josh!

Behind her flew in Oto, the bird and dog did not fit well within the apartment, but they were creating such a ruckus, it'd be damn near impossible to not come investigate what was going on in Josh's living room.
