and chaos breaks loose. the meteor is divided between people looking to protect the rock, and people trying to exploit it before its demise. she still doesn't understand what the point of this struggle was, really. she doesn't understand, but as long as no one is gravely injured, that's alright. [break][break]

she doesn't have a way to flee, and the crystallized charizard seems to be slightly confused with everything that was happening as he slowly begins to revert back to his usual sheen. the atmosphere is approaching quickly, and she hops onto the back of the charizard - only for the blast to go through, sending both trainer and pokemon through the sky. "hang on!" she calls out to the dragon pokemon, whose wings attempt to withstand the turbulence that came with the impact of the primal points. [break][break]

in the air, she keeps one hand on the charizard who desperately tries to keep the trainer stable - and the other hand catches the gleam of a crystal that falls from the meteorite, and she attempts to reach out, and clasp it between her fingers and in her hands (and who can blame her for trying amidst the chaos? if she was going to fall from such a great height, she'd like to bring something home to show to the kids. maybe she can turn it into a necklace, or a bracelet, if she's feeling cute. it's a trophy she can wear). [break][break]

unfortunately, she can't even confirm if it's in her hand before the sound of kim cole-essam's voice calls over the communications, warning her about the blue hand that reaches out of a sudden rip in space that grabs her as suddenly as her hand had tried with the crystal. a gasp escapes her lips, and her charizard tries to struggle - until he is calmed by sheba's soothing. [break][break]

she'll be okay - they'll both be okay - but she didn't want to die before she finished her business on hoenn. that's why she came up here after all, isn't that right? [break][break]

the next moment, she finds herself hitting the ground; charizard softens the blow, and a groan comes from the draconic fire pokemon who groans, and lets out a huff. "ugh.. are you alright?" she asks, sitting herself up on the dragon, who also grunts. he's sore, but he's alive. good. when she looks around, they're at a clearing, and many others who were suddenly grabbed by the djinn's hand were seemingly transported around the same area. and when she comes to, she's staring up at the sky, watching the slower image of a meteor that was close to crashing into hoenn, scattering its remains, sprinkling it across the region. [break][break]

everyone seems to be safe, good. good... [break][break]

save for her sceptile, whose tail is nearly severed by the explosion caused by the beam's contact. he isn't dead when he quickly throws his trainer to safety, but he suffers damages - to where sheba is left scraped and slightly burned on the ground, staring at the sceptile who lays in the foreign dirt. quickly she pulls out a pokeball, recalling the knocked out lizard. [break][break]

in the meantime, she hides behind the ship, a smile to her lips in spite of the situation, giving angelo vestri and skyler dross a salute. "i hope you two don't mind me staying here for a little while.." she tilts her head, then turns to glance back out.. and sees that luka chêne is still okay. that's good. [break][break]

there's a foreign presence, and she can't say it's welcome. i mean, they don't look like anyone aligned with rocket.. or the league. but maybe she's wrong, and she can't tell friend from foe anymore. in preparation, she pulls out another rpokeball, revealing a charizard to stand, hunched still by his trainer. the people around her start to attack the figure, who screams, and yells, upon witnessing the anomaly displayed by kyle lopez 's mightyena. [break][break]

the charizard at her size begins to radiate with a dark sheen, black as night with only the stars to reflect his shape. then a fountain-like sprout appears on top of his head, and sheba can't help but to stare for a little while. how odd. [break][break]

but isn't it a kind of beautiful? [break][break]

"ah, no time to be admiring.." she has to tell herself, verbally, or else she'll keep staring. her attention turns up to the flurry of unown, circling with their.. eyes. eugh. "shoot them all down." the command is given, and the charizard lets out a roar as a beam of darkness sweeps into the night, sweeping at the unown that crowd the woman. [break][break]

and as they descend, she's starting to see the blue of the atmosphere. it's beautiful, being able to stand at the cusp of night and day; and it's a shame she can't capture this moment with a picture. she'll just have to paint it for her kids when she gets home. if she can find a way off this damned rock before then.

now this is a bit dangerous. [break][break]

too dangerous for a vulpix to be up and about. with the pokemon still in her arms, the two of them are blown away fromt he blunt force - though she doesn't sustain any major injuries thanks to the earlier safeguard. at least it was good for something, and protects them from any burns. her eyes turn to the nearby pinkette, and she's relieved to see that she's alright. right, things should be alright. the vulpix is still alright, so she'll take it as a good thing. [break][break]

though she expects things to go downhill from here. [break][break]

and it does, because she catches a voice calling out over her earpiece as things start getting worse. her tongue clicks, and she pre-emptively pulls the pokeball of her vulpix to put it back into its ball to rest. instead, she swaps it for a sceptile, who lets out a grunt as he's awoken from his slumber. "no time, use detect." she commants the pokemon, whose eyes take on a red glint when it catches the presences of.. a crystalline pokemon. the METEOR BEAM comes swiftly, but the sceptile is quick to grab his trainer in his arms and bolt away from the damage zone. [break][break]

and instead, he drags her behind the ship that two other people (angelo vestri and skyler dross) have found cover behind.[break][break]

so they had rocket, and now aliens. [break][break]

what's the point in the violence? [break][break]

they all live in the same land, and all live in the same place; why was rocket so hellbent? though she understands the value of materials on this meteor, she can't understand why they would risk sabotage to get it - or was it some degree of trust that rocket had? it'd only make sense; they wouldn't be doing this if they didn't think the league would be able to stop the impact altogether. otherwise, it just doesn't make sense to her, does it? [break][break]

whatever they scrounge up will be buried beneath their remains. [break][break]

the view is beautiful, and it's going to make the region perish. we can't have that. [break][break]

she's lucky enough to be safe on the surface, but there's not too much time to waste. she can see from where she stands that rockets are rushing towards the crater, mining what remnants could be found. the issue is that they're getting in the way of their mission, so they have to stop them, right? [break][break]

but she can't exactly go in, and she doesn't think a battle will be.. good, considering their time constraints. and so, she glances down to the vulpix, still huddled in her arms. "safeguard, love." she commands the little pokemon, who lets out a soft mewl as a soft blue glow emits from her body, catching luka chêne, skyler dross and angelo vestri and their pokemon in the safety of its effects. it doesn't seem to stretch out much further, though.

she's not going to crash with a failing ship. [break][break]

they're close to the meteor, but she knows that crashing will be devastating. they're hurling towards the rock faster than she'd like, but thankfully he engine failed, and so they aren't accelerating (thank you, gravity). but, you know, she'd like it better if they didn't crash head first. [break][break]

speeding was nice, but it'd be nicer if they could land slowly and without as much turbulence - and that's when she had a great idea. "hey!" she calls out to the pinkette, who already had a hand in the defensive maneuvers. then to the purple-haired man, while holding her vulpix, trying to keep a steady footing. [break][break]

"i'll try to slow the ship down!" she pats the vulpix, caressing the foxy pokemon "so try to keep the ship from crashing!" she's glancing to the other rookies who are brought for the trip, and she narrows her eyes. she's in no position to be barking out orders, but they need to be quick. "anyone else who can slow the ship down, help out!" [break][break]

she can't be the only one with this idea when she has her vulpix coming out, using a blizzard directed to push against their current ship. "just a little more, love." she holds the ice pokemon close, as she does her best. the poor thing might get tired, but it's okay. [break][break]

fingers crossed that this will work. frankly, she couldn't care less about the ship; she just wants a smooth landing for everyone in it; not everyone has a pokemon that can fly through space.

she'll never understand why rocket is trying to stop the descent of the meteor - or maybe she can, but they don't understand the consequences. wouldn't the landing impact their numbers, too? it would wipe out power, wipe out resources, pokemon, information; life. [break][break]

several years ago, maybe she wouldn't have tried to put a stop; but she has a family, now. she can't afford this. [break][break]

to be frank, she usually wouldn't take a mission this dangerous; but she'd rather do things with her own hands than to sit in anxiety and anticipation with her kids. she already gave them a talking to before she left the house. all she has to do is get home. [break][break]

she's sitting in a pod with kim cole-essam , someone who's doubtlessly more experienced in this than she is. there's much happening when the protect comes up, and she can watch a everything is raining down in the endless expanse of space; it's chaos. [break][break]

but you know, space is cold. [break][break]

so out comes a little vulpix in her arms, curious as she watches the destruction in sight. "try to blow a blizzard at the ship, love." and she gives the vulpix a soft caress, as to soothe the little fox before she sends out a chilling BLIZZARD into the dead space. those swept up in the sudden, chilling air however, might have a quicker boost towards it, at least.

at least, not in the mudkip. the colours look horrible together, and there's no way the colour scheme can be used for marketing; maybe for children? but her demographic isn't that - especially since the summer season has passed. maybe the next year, the little kipling can make its debut. [break][break]

though she doesn't intend to catch it, she can feel the trembling and the rattling in her pokeball from a fennekin who loathes the presence of a watter type pokemon. and, to that, she smiles, and pats the top of the red ball. "shh, quiet down." she coos, feeling the trembling subside at her fingertips. "we're looking for something else."

this was the pokemon she was looking for. a little orange chick who hops around and about, so cutely. red and oranges were the colours for this season, especially with how warming the browns can be added as an undertone. yes, yes. this will do. "that one." sheba smiles, pulling out a pokeball to quickly chuck at the unsuspecting torchic. [break][break]

when the ball shuts and clicks, she walks over, with a smile to her lips. "you'll do~" her eyes squint with the smile, and the pokeball is secured to her belt, before she starts walking back down. [break][break]

a treeko comes by, skittering on in the trees as she walks down the route. it's a rare little thing - in that she hasn't really seen these little guys in a little while. her lips curl into a smile as she reaches to her belt, pulling out a pokeball and tossing it, casually, at the little grass pokemon. [break][break]

it's not the usual type of pokemon she would capture, since greens were always a hit or miss to her; but she's sure to find some kind of use for it. who knows? maybe it can give her inspiration for the spring term next year.

it's her second time here, but nothing really changes. at least now, she doesn't have to worry so much about getting herself dirty. it seems like the environment has changed, slightly, although she always has to wonder when the zone has enough time to renovate itself for different pokemon. she also has to wonder how it operates. [break][break]

she also has to wonder how it can house the differently coloured pokemon. [break][break]

no use thinking about it now, though, when she's trying to look for a few pokemon herself. so with her fennekin perched on her shoulder, she gives a small smile, and begins to strut down the dirt path. it's amazing how the weather is kept so consistent under the dome.
