She was having fun. And that's what mattered. When Uzi looked bummed that even Kairi, Josh's own Vaporeon, was able to blur ahead with QUICK ATTACK, all he could think about was his inability.[break][break]

"Do your best, Uzi. That's all I ask." The little Vaporeon knew the race wasn't lost yet. So, with everything in his little body, he continues the race, knowing he has nothing left in the tank.[break][break]

"Okay. Aaaaaaaaaand, turn!" she yells, as the U-turns come in quick succession again, and again, and again. Each time, Genny made sure to note when to make the turn. Uzi could do it. She was certain, and even if he didn't?[break][break]

This whole Championship ambition, was made to get stronger to begin with. And so, as she slaps her tail to get the proper turns going... Genny knows her Vaporeon is strong. If only Serenity were here to see this too.[break][break]

This Rocket had no respect, and even when the dog snarls, all Genny can do is look with disgust backwards. He can't remember a name, but as Kusanagi whirls around her and him, she can't help but hold her hands out at the ready.[break][break]

"You won't hurt another soul as long as I breathe," he rushes her down, and a hand touches on Genny's shoulder. The blade goes through her chest only seconds after her body disappears with another TELEPORT, missing her as she jumps up and attempts another kick. This trick would only work so long, and Genny and Venus knows that.[break][break]

She has to win though. She's not letting him out of here alive. Not anymore. He's threatened Elise Calcifet . So as far as she's concerned...[break][break]

His death will keep people alive. That justification is all that matters in her head right now.

Dang. That Xurkitree was keeping everyone up with ELECTRIC TERRAIN, and wouldn't you know it, Kazimir Wynter had sealed them in a ring. But now, Genny had a new problem. Someone yelled to her, and as Genny saw Isaac's move, her head swerves as she hears the voice.[break][break]

Her pupils shrink.[break][break]

"You."[break][break]

No one is home behind that look.[break][break]

She would know that voice anywhere. During the dog mission. Lady Bloom. It all comes back to her, and her fists ball harder than they did before. Adrenaline fuels her existence now, and she doesn't bother to dodge. Because Elise Calcifet has her back. But the Galarian Ambassador could see the warrior inside the mind, as she gives a look far removed from herself. There was nothing behind those empty hazel eyes.[break][break]

"I came here looking for you, you know."[break][break]

She tells him. The masked Hitoshi Inoue. The blood on his hands. Every person she cannot save, dead to the world. Her fury builds, and Venus appears behind her.[break][break]

"Thank you, Elise."[break][break]

And then. She's gone. TELEPORTing in front of the masked one, grabbing her Mega Gardevoir, and having her throw Genny with some physical and psychic power, colliding black boots to his chest.[break][break]

"You've proven you're too dangerous a threat to keep alive, Rocket. So remember my name well," she gets into a stance. She's unprepared, unphased, and unbroken. "my name is Genevieve Cromwell."[break][break]

To protect DESIREE BLOOMS, Yuina Higashi, Elise Calcifet, Isaac Merlo, Thomas Benoit. To protect her Girlygang. To protect the world from devastation...[break][break]

"And today. You die."[break][break]

She'll put blood on her hands.

Shaky legs barely keep her head up, but the moment she feels them buckle beneath her, she's stabilized by Izzy. A quick peck on the cheek, and she practically hoists herself on him, making sure she can still stand. Warmth. "Me too... too many of 'em down there."[break][break]

Elise Calcifet 's worries has her smile quietly, and even illeana reyes 's HEALING MIST, and soon after Alexei Ivanov 's own Tornadus utilizing their STORMBRINGER'S CELERITY definitely keeps her more conscious than she was. PENELOPE LIVY was there too, someone she once idolized. annalise henderson too. All she can do is shoot her a quiet, but pained smile.[break][break]

"I'll be good. Battles not done with yet..."[break][break]

Things have happened so fast, they are practically blurring together.[break][break]

Rockets... what the hell is their problem? Genny can feel her lip tremble, as she watches the torrent of warfare continue, and she hoists herself more together. Penny's orders to Izzy were to keep Palkia safe? Got it. That sounded easy enough. She imagines Penny wouldn't mind if she assisted in that.[break][break]

Of course, easier said than done. But. Defense, huh?[break][break]

"... me too." The Boulder is returned to the ball, and out comes something unexpected. She throws the MEGA BRACELET on, and tired eyes fill with life, as the stone sits in it, glowing green and pink. Seeing Neo and Isaac Merlo pull what they do off, on that man there, (Shred ), the next Pokemon out of the ball, is Venus. The blue sheen of a Gardevoir appears, as Genny activates it for the first time.[break][break]

"Put'em to bed, Venus." she cries weakly.[break][break]

With the blast of energy, the blue Gardevoir explodes into a black dress of her own, the hands tinted black, floating nearest to her now.[break][break]

And utilizing HYPNOSIS on the assisting REGICE from howard slayte .

Dead. So many around, dead and gone. Unknown faces die. Friends, people she'd never met.[break][break]

A hopeful Ranger had died right in front of her, and all she could do was ride through the blood and tears. She's far more hardened now than she had been before. No matter how much The Boulder continues its run around, and ramming into more, Genny can feel it. One of her ribs hurts. She can't feel her nose. The burns on her body hurt so much.[break][break]

Hoopa had begun to talk. She couldn't die easily. But nice time, they had to bring water, fire, and earth to face them. With it, as the Hoopa laughs as they shrink into literal notihng. And Genny's mad. But as she rides out of the crater, not laying on the Iron Boulder that she had claimed, but standing, her hazel eyes fill with determination. She looked like hell. She was sure she was bleeding somewhere from all the iron paradoxes they fought up, slamming into each.[break][break]

And yet, Genny rides.[break][break]

She can hear it in her ears. DESIREE BLOOMS 's cry of agony... where is she? Yuina Higashi ? Where's Elise Calcifet , or Thomas Benoit ? Her body and mind were on auto-pilot as they crashed into more paradoxes, nearest to a HURRICANE. And Palkia. And illeana reyes . And Isaac Merlo .[break][break]

Oh. It was good to see friendly faces out of that crater.[break][break]

She can feel the blood drip down her nose. She was hurt, but the adrenaline didn't stop. But as he bats the threats away more, using its PSYCHIC typing to telekinetically keep their body on the ground, Genny and The Boulder run by them, with the redhead giving as big a grin as she can. With a leap off, and landing on the ground, even breathing heavy, she smirks. "Hi." She can feel her legs tremble. The Boulder steps next to her and robotically awaits more battle.[break][break]

Turning around, she calls out. "Desi? Yui? Elise? Thomas?" she calls out for, trembling her way towards Isaac and Illeana, legs shaking and shambling.

The sandstorm rages on, and Genny had her hands above her face, covering against the sandstorm. Yes, it hurts. Always seems to. But no matter how it hits her, she's always wading through it. Cuts here or there, but she can take the heat.[break][break]

"Don't worry about me, Ollie! We got this!"[break][break]

The boom comes finally though. The explosion throwing the sand and clearing out a massive sphere in the arena with the wind that pushes it all away. However. Gordo would push through.[break][break]

And slap that noggin with a much-less pronounced GYRO BALL than he had started. That ELECTRO BALL stopped a lot of his momentum, but that SAND RUSH kept it going. At best, it felt like a slap. But to the head, it'd be something else.[break][break]

Genny grins when she sees the finale was in their favor, racing up to grab Gordo, and throwing him into the air and giving the little Sandshrew one big hug on the way down. The way she jumps is precious, as she leaps and kisses on the little green armadillo. She loved her little guy, that much is certain.[break][break]

Her eyes move towards Ollie. The sandstorm clears. And with it... she can't help but smile, a face covered in wounds and cuts. "Thanks for the match, Captain," she beams, her hazel eyes on little Tofu now. "And you too, Tofu! You were great!"

Then came the next Hoopa punch. This one was going for Genny's head. She doesn't see it coming. But Zagreus does. But, when Genny sees the Arcanine leap in front of her to take it... the Arcanine is splayed on the ground, the fist nearly tearing a hole into the big dog.[break][break]

Blood drips from her clinched fist, as Zagreus is returned to his ball. Anger spikes. And an idea is formed. One empty Pokeball pulled out. "If you intend to use Paradoxes, you asshole," she yells. The ball is thrown, slamming into the IRON BOULDER in front of her.[break][break]

"then so will I"[break][break]

And in one shot, the ball immediately gives her the ding.[break][break]

Then comes the release back out, ready to throw the fuck down. "The Boulder has some WORDS for you!" And boy. Did they.[break][break]

"Give us a barrier and push'em back!" The Boulder does so, beginning immediately with a ROCK TOMB to push back more Paradoxes.[break][break]

Ollie was too good for this world. He was the sweetest nicest man around. Literally in her top three of sweet and nice and hot guys. The way he can just make her feel better on a dime... it's so commendable, she can't help but smile ear-to-ear.[break][break]

She had forgotten that Tofu had a means to shoot water through. And the moment it comes back to haunt her, Genny's face is riddled with sweat.[break][break]

Almost like clockwork, Gordo BLASTS OUT, trajectory off-center as the geyser blasts him out, and with it, the little Sandshrew would spin and spin and spin. "Sandstorm, Gordo! Then come in for the final spin dash!"[break][break]

One more SANDSTORM, activating it again, thus SAND RUSH for the speed. And with it, one more GYRO BALL aiming for Tofu's now big forehead![break][break]

There's a huge grin with Genny at the finish. And even as Pops is recalled, Genny can't help but meet Lammy halfway, and give back that familiar fist-bump in return.[break][break]

Gordo, who quickly jumped up on Genny's shoulder, would move to make that fist-bump a three-sided fistbump. And the redhead grins.[break][break]

"Just been practicing a lot! Got a long way to go! Pops was crazy, Lammy!" I thought you had me there! What with her bringing this level to Lammy, she can't help but smirk a little more confident. "Damn right! I'm gonna be the Champ!" Even if she did lose to kyle lopez...[break][break]

That didn't matter![break][break]

She takes a breath in, and nods. "I'll be challenging you real soon, bestie, so you better get ready!"

Why did he have to be so darn charming? It's so unfair. The way her cheeks are so hot now. What she said was he looked great in his suit, what she meant was how hot he looked. If she didn't have a bigger crush at the time, she'd probably have asked him for a dance. She should have asked anyways. She did have a crush on him, ever so small.[break][break]

Perhaps that's just the way it goes. He already has a love in his life. One he can still get. Easily. That night, drunk and broken up from Galar, she knew he could. Learning things she never was meant to know.[break][break]

Ollie just had that kind of magic to him. She's certain.[break][break]

Gordo would charge in, the electrical DISCHARGE is enough to push him back, only to bounce back, dribbling like a basketball, closer and closer, before speeding into the ground. Genny smirks.[break][break]

"Dig. And don't stop. Keep Tofu guessing!"[break][break]

The arena sits quiet. Genny can feel the sweat trickle down her face. Her heart in her ear.

Genny's still reeling, the blood seeping from her nose. Her face hurt. Her body hurt. Every orifice just hurt. Zagreus did his best to keep the Iron Boulders at bay, but quickly pulls Genny out of the way, in eyesight of paxton concordas.[break][break]

The bloodied Ranger merely responds out, having trouble seeing what she considered her mentor. "I'm good," comes out almost standoffish, but it really just chokes out fully exasperated instead "just having a day." And she was. Poor girl is gonna need some heavy first aid after that. While she's bloodied and bruised, Zagreus is able to scare away some, but practically bashes one IRON BOULDER head-to-head.[break][break]

"Flare Blitz."[break][break]

Zagreus engulfs himself in flame again, pushing the Iron Boulder away, and growling, standing between Genny and the Iron Boulder.[break][break]

In rain, they had found each other at the coming of a storm. Though a Gyarados came to cause havoc over the day, the duo together was able to meet. From that, in rain, the two bonded. Neither rain nor shine could tear them apart, something that has Genny smiling earnestly, her eyes watering, as she wipes her hazel eyes. A little runny makeup was okay.[break][break]

"Yeah. It was!"[break][break]

Gordo was able to come in with that ROLLOUT, landing back, as the last SHADOW BALL came, Gordo did the best move he could, with the sandstorm subsiding. He would jump up, and bounce, dodging the ghost ball by a fraction of a scale, before landing back down, racing forward to Gloss, to deliver one final attack-[break][break]

A hug. A tight one. Gordo was just full of love to give. And Genny, seeing that, grins towards Desi, closing the distance, and holding a hand out to one of her girlygang. One of her besties.[break][break]

"Let's go!"[break][break]

She truly did love Desi with all of her heart.
