"Mhmm!" Ettie nodded in response to Kouma's question. "Ettie has big pack! Ettie loves pack!" She chirps, visibly proud of herself as she scritches Zeit's head. When one had numbers, you had nothing to fear.

The mention of his Dracozolt's diet, though, would bring her attention right back to the dinosaur. Ettie looks the beast up and down; the beak makes her think of her flock, her Honchkrow and Corviknight, but... "What eat?" She asks, glancing briefly to Kouma once more. "Is pack-territory, can help!"

She knew where all the food-rich spots were in her pack's territory; and she knew better than to plunder them for everything they had, so there was often some food to spare. Especially when it was just one pokemon that needed a good meal, big eater or no!

Anne would give Ettie a somewhat skeptical glance - the Lycanroc wasn't exactly pleased at letting the stranger hang around for longer than necessary... But there was only so much she could do, to persuade the wildchild otherwise.

It did not take long for Anat to notice it - the auras of other beings, particularly human beings, and the surrounding pokemon. The Lucario took a moment to focus upon the auras, the feelings of the Spoink assaulted by the two Rockets... Before barking to the rest of the pack, gesturing.

Ettie nodded, understanding well enough. They were getting close. "Circle." She murmured.

Yip, Anat, Haru, and Alexander began to split to either side and dart ahead - leaving Ettie on Anne's back with Scarlet. As the pack neared the perpetrators, they'd attempt to surround the group whilst under the cover of the foliage - so as to try and set up an ambush, whilst cutting off potential escape routes...

(Not that they knew that Mille and der pokemon suspected their presences.)

Ettie and Anne, meanwhile, simply continued onwards - not bothering to conceal themselves, so as to confront the duo.

It was quick work handling the swarm, all things considered; and Ettie lets out a sigh of relief as the danger passes. She really didn't want to deal with her or her pack getting stung, it was a pain both literally and figuratively.

But, as Kouji Kouma introduces himself, Ettie perks up and glances in his direction. "Hello!" She chirped with a smile. "Am Ettie! Happy to meet, Friend!"

Though a few of the packmembers were indifferent or otherwise standoffish, there were just as many who shared in Ettie's friendliness. Zeit's tail wagged as he approached them with a happy 'Boof!', laying down so that she could slide down from his back safely. Kiki, meanwhile, would curiously sniff at the human and Dracozolt both - whilst the Lucario, Anat, would give a gentle nod in greeting.

"Ettie patrolling with packmates. What friend doing?" Ettie asked, tilting her head a bit as she looked to the mish-mashed reptile with clear curiosity.

Stone and ice batter the battlefield, the canines growling and yelping as they are struck amongst the chaos. Ettie, however, would be protected; Scarlet stirring to life as a ghostly Spiky Shield protects the both of them.

In this moment, as she is sheltered against the storm, Ettie considers her own options; who to direct her pack against. The Blizzard hurt, especially with the prior Metal Sound, for sure. The Rock Slide hurt as well, she observed, glancing to Alexander as he was briefly stunned in the onslaught.

Thus, pointing to the Aerodactyl and Glaceon, she had but one direction. "Them." The faster both of them were taken off the board, the better.

And, the pack reacted. Anne took point to bark a command to Delle, and the three who could still act would begin to move in unison. Though the Rock Slide hurt, it provided an opportunity that the Lycanroc wanted to capitalize on.

The Marshadow would Copycat the Rock Slide; mainly attempting to force Petra to come lower to the ground, but also looking to deal some damage to Aurelia in the process. Any damage to the Bisharp duo, while nice, would simply be a cherry on top.

Anne would then follow up with an Accelerock, launching herself with a leap at the Aerodactyl, and attempting to dig her fangs and Tough Claws into the beast to drag her to the ground...

... So that Princess could then attempt to cap the combo off with an Ice Fang, looking to deal major damage to the Aerodactyl, and hopefully effectively remove Petra from the fight as soon as possible.

TLDR:
- The Blizzard-Rock Slide combo is owie, Houndoom flinches from it. Ettie + Scarlet protect themselves from it with Spiky Shield.
- In retaliation, Ettie directs the pack to focus on Aerodactyl and Glaceon.
- Marshadow Copycats Rock Slide, to try and force the Aerodactyl lower to the ground and deal damage to Glaceon both at once. Any incidental damage to the Bisharp duo is mostly regarded as a bonus.
- Lycanroc uses a Tough Claws boosted Accelerock to attempt leaping at and grappling the Aerodactyl, to try and weigh/drag her to the ground.
- Granbull caps the combo off with an Ice Fang, to try and remove the Aerodactyl from the fight as quickly as possible.

Ettie had a large pack. Which, in turn, meant a lot of mouths to feed. And in turn, required a large territory to support them. Ettie had her ways of managing things; preserving and storing surplus food, cultivating berry trees wherever possible, and the like. One could compare how she managed her territory almost as if it were one giant farm, the pack's prey the livestock and the foliage equal parts the livestock feed and the crops.

Which was to say, that she'd certainly understand how Hitoshi felt in feeding his own pokemon, not that she even knew he was in the area yet.

Yet, however, would be the key word. As Ettie was with a patrolling party - sitting atop the back of her Hisuian Arcanine, Zeit - when the canines would come to a stop, ears pricking at the distant sounds of buzzing and the like! And not far behind the noises, was the sight of a Dracozolt and their trainer on the run, from an agitated swarm of Beedrill!

Ettie, however, was quick to direct her packmates. "Protect!"

Her Stoutland, Ruffian, readily took the lead - intervening and letting loose a Roar so as to scare the beedrill off! Anat and Kiki both would Copycat this - resulting in a thundering chorus that would hopefully make the swarm reconsider their chase!

Sometimes, lurking through familiar wildernesses was comforting to Ettie - and route 121 was plenty familiar, given its proximity to Fortree. The wildchild hadn't expected much of this - perhaps find a few new flockmates, or even another Poochyena or Mightyena for the pack...

... But instead, what she found, were distressed Spoinks. Having Haru at her side was a blessing, in being the middle-fox to figure out what the trouble was - namely that of their missing pearls. Being the kindhearted child that she was, Ettie was more than happy to help! But that would then raise a different question: where did the perpetrators go?

Atop Anne's back, Ettie strode alongside her packmates - eyes scanning their surroundings while her canines sniffed about for any scent trails. Between the signs of brief scuffles, foliage tinged with electric burns, and the occasional footprints?

It'd only be a matter of time until Ettie found her quarry...

SIR YOU ARE BEING HUNTED

At the question of a lake, Ettie nodded. "Mhmm! Not big. But enough!" She responded. It was plenty to give the four a comfortable space to rest and swim around in; but if they wanted to swim somewhere more open, there were options not far from here (at least going off the child's idea of 'not far', which may be very different from Cass'.)

Cassie would be happy to tell Yuki as much, though - of the waterpool that was deeper in the caverns, that they usually rested in when they weren't out and about.

The question of pokemon would be met with another nod and a giggle from Ettie. "Mhmm! In other den-parts, or outside. Is big pack; Ettie loves pack." She spoke, visibly proud of her 'kin'. There were definitely other pokemon in the area too, besides the ones directly interacting; idling about, watching these newcomers, and the like.

But it was those such as Yip, or Meri, or the pinniped four, who were actually 1. home, and 2. interested in the cake or mingling with Cass and co.

But that being said, Ettie would smile to Cass, offering "Can stay night, meet more pack? Will share food, will keep safe!" It'd give those who were out hunting or patrolling a chance to come home and see Cass, for sure. But, Ettie would understand if she wasn't interested; this was likely a very different place, from what the other trainer was used to sleeping in.

Ettie blinks and giggles though, as Cass has to nudge Dermot. "Here!" She chirps warmly, nudging his share of the cake closer to him. "Eat, friend!"

Cassandra Kubrick

It is a thundering crash as the granite of the Rock Slide slams down, making the ground shudder under Ettie's feet. She sways a tiny bit, but stays upright - eyes sharp as she watches Nameless and Smaug both zero in on their supposed prey.

The dragons dive, and the hounds are ready.

Ruffian is plenty ready to try and get a cheap shot on Smaug with a Play Rough - snarling for the dragon to not forget who his real opponent is! Perhaps with a good enough hit, it'd interrupt the incoming Iron Head; not that it was the Stoutland's intention. All he cares about is proving himself, so that he can rub it in the haughty reptile's face!

Meanwhile, Zeit briefly shakes himself out, before getting a running start to meet Nameless in the middle, as the dragon swoops at him! Electricity dances across his hide, the only warning the Salamence would get before he lights up in a brilliant display, letting loose a fearless Wild Charge!

(For how reckless the attack seems though, his Rock Head is sure to protect him.)

TLDR: Stoutland attempts to cheap shot Roaring Moon while he's distracted with a Play Rough (and potentially unintentionally interfere with the Iron Head.) Arcanine clashes Salamence's Zen Headbutt with a Wild Charge, protected from recoil by Rock Head.

Ettie had hoped that Onyx would readily turn around and leave; would he really want to draw the ire of the pack?

However, the shrill shriek of metal on metal told her all that she needed to know. It harsh against the keen-eared canids; Ettie and co flinching and growling from it all. But, they were ready to make some noise of their own.

One by one, Anne, Alexander, and Delle - who emerged from Ettie's shadow and used Copycat - would all begin to Howl in chorus, whipping themselves and their kin into a combat-ready frenzy!

Princess, meanwhile, would let out an Intimidate-ing snarl, paired with a rather Scary Face to make her feelings known on the matter to Onyx and his pokemon.

Ettie, for now, hung back - though Scarlet's tassels wriggled as the Doublade stirred at the potential of combat, brushing against the wildchild's wrists. "Not yet," She spoke to them in a soft voice - her sharp gaze watching as Onyx fell back.

She had to be ready for any possibility - it was something she learned living in the wilderness, and it was something that Navy emphasized in his own lessons.
