intending to bring back a present for cato, rhugone was scrounging on the ground for something of interest. there seemed to be varying colors of interest but she settled for a blue shard. it felt cool and firm in her hands. where exactly did it come from? such questions she supposed would have to be answered later, seeing as she was ready to turn around and head back to ponder that with her boss later.[break]

vibrava - a strange pokemon that rhugone would originally think was nothing more than an oversized bug type. its evolution would do nicely as a mount, she figured, so she ordered a body slam from her steelix followed by a pokeball. while it would take some time to evolve it, she hoped the payoff would be worth it.[break]

it was funny how the gothita's color scheme fit rhugone to the last shade. with a smile, she patted it as she moved past it. "not today," she said softly, not wanting to bother the small creature as it seemed to still be tagging along with its mother gothitelle. the steelix seemed to be getting bored, wanting to see something worth being its sparring partner.

while rhugone admired the water type fish pokemon, the steelix next to her seemed to writhe with some form of discomfort. this made rhugone pull away, coaxing the onix evolution to follow her. "afraid of the water?" she asked, worriedly. the tall pokemon seemed to nod its head as they continued on their journey in this land previously unexplored by the amazon.

with her new steelix, rhugone found herself a bit shy. the large pokemon seemed to also be quite modest in its approach to socialize with its new trainer, the two of them just looking away from each other as they marched forward, on the hunt. "i hope you're comfortable coming out," she offered - patting the steel type appreciatively for its cooperation, receiving a happy roar in return.

fascinations focused on the fighting styles of the samurai of old had brought rhugone to come spectate the kingambit swarm. the different pokemon seemed to be challenging each other in ways that reflected some kind of honor system and a hierarchy of such was used to pit the pokemon against each other. sitting atop a particularly large rock seemed to be the 'king of the hill' so to speak and rhugone couldn't help but admire the larger kingambit as it seemed to await a challenger to battle it for its place. with her steelix at her side, the bodyguard wondered if she could approach it herself.[break][break]

'yeahhhh ... shoulda chosen a better guy if you wanted to replace me, rhu,' the spirit joked, the tall woman finding it more annoying than familiar to feel a spectral jab at her side as if she was meant to appreciate this joke at her expense.[break]
"excuse me," she started - quickly putting her head between cato and madeline as to stop this familiar conversation before it even began. "it seems mr. dipasquale is not feeling well." after the scene straight out of exorcist, rhugone had little doubt about what she should do next. [break]
with a slow pull back, she fired a solid punch into her boss's midsection - hoping to knock him out without greatly compromising his health. [break]
much like the redheaded woman onboard, rhugone was a fan of horror but didn't quite enjoy being in the middle of a horror movie herself. if she could use her strength to protect the other people on board, she would. this was how she would carry out her duty to cato, after all, seeing as she had to uphold his reputation and help him not smear it in front of a crowd of perfect strangers. "please don't be alarmed," she started - holding her hands out as to sign 'caution.' "we will wake him up when we are safe on the other side. i'm not an expert in spirits, so if anyone has any other advise, i'd be glad to hear it." clearly a punch-first-ask-questions-later type person, she looked to the rest of the crowd expectantly. her idea had been that upon waking, cato would be well again. if that wasn't the case, she would have to seek out other answers.[break]
in the meanwhile, the ferryman seemed to be unbothered and the trip was continuing on slowly ... until something was made clear that had rhugone anticipating a longer bout with this spirit possessing her boss than intended.[break]
"it seems the mist is a bit thick. we may have to take a detour," the ferryman spoke - more like clinks of coins in morse code that somehow translated to common speech. [break]
so. they were lost, was it? how great. with this extended time on the ferry, one could only wonder if the spirit possessing cato would stick with them longer and bring itself back to consciousness in time.[break][break]
