A moment after the battle kicked back up, Alec heard a woman's voice prompting him to look over, seeing a woman, possibly around his own age. Her question asking if he wanted to have an actual battle made him smirk slightly. "An actual battle with someone else's pokemon was way better than having his own duke it out against one another. Sure, why not?" Alec said, holding his slight smirk. He hopped down off the boulder, and beginning to walk over to her. "Is your Scizor the only pokemon you got? If so, I'll let you choose which of these three ya wanna have a battle with," Alec had said, looking over at his three pokemon.

Kaminari's electric pouches tingled with excitement, hoping that he'd be the one the girl chose for the battle. Meanwhile, The shiny Sceptile and the Scizor stood in silence, yet filled with the same determination that the Pikachu had. They just weren't as open about it. He knew what his three pokemon were capable of. Kaminari and Nat were extremely agile and heavy hitters, whereas Clamps was more of a technical fighter. Alec had also taken a good look at the woman's Scizor, and from what he could tell, it was well-trained just like his pokemon were. "Either way, this should be really interesting," Alec thought to himself as he waited for the girl's answer.

Alec had ventured to Petalburg Woods, wanting to find a place to train. He would have settled for the Caverns for Meteor Falls near where he lived, however, That was his usual spot. He figured that a change of setting would be good for his Pokemon. Not only that, but Petalburg woods was just as vast. As Alec flew on top of Inferno the Charizard, he spotted a decently sized clearing, telling Inferno to land there. Once he did, he returned Inferno to his Pokeball, then brought out his Pikachu, Sceptile, and Scizor. "Alright you three, you're gonna have a free-for-all battle. Sound Good?" Alec said with a smirk to the three different pokemon. Kaminari the Pikachu was excited, whereas Nat the Sceptile and Clamps the Scizor were as calm as a cucumber.

"Rule 1 - Don't aim your attacks where I'm sitting. Otherwise who'll take care of ya?" Alec had said, pointing towards the giant boulder sitting on the ground. "Honestly, that's pretty much it," Alec had said while climbing up the boulder. Once he sat down at the center on top, he spoke once more. "Begin!" Alec had called out, which kicked the three pokemon into automatic overdrive. Nat had made the first move, attacking Clamps with Leaf Blade. Clamps responded in kind, countering Nat with Bullet Punch, matching the sceptile, blow for blow. Alec smirked, noticing that Nat and Clamps were too focused on one another, not paying attention to Kaminari at all. However, the attention between the steel bug and the grassy gecko broke when Kaminari unsuspectingly got both of them with a clean hit from his Iron Tail.

"You should keep an eye out for Kaminari too, you guys," Alec called out nonchalantly as he sat atop the boulder. In fact, with how small as well as fast the Pikachu was, he was honestly the real threat here. As Alec continued to watch, Alec failed to notice the presence of another person that walked into the clearing.

Alec wasn't surprised that Josh mentioned his clan, or well, a portion of it anyway. "My parents are, but as for me, no. Instead, I became a trainer." Alec had said truthfully. He liked traveling a lot more than staying in one place all the time, although given how he acts nowadays, it can be hard to tell by looking at him. Sure, he was proud to be born into his clan, but that kind of life wasn't for him, or at least, that's how he felt. Then again, he was only born into the Side Branch, so it wasn't like he was 'royalty' or anything like that.

"I'd say you were lucky though, all things considered." Alec said, referring to the fact that his Hydreigon didn't retaliate. After their talk of dragons, Josh greeted himself, not only by name but also as a Ranger and Gym Leader. "A ranger and a Gym Leader. You must be one busy guy," Alec said to him, not mentioning that he was a former Gym Leader of the Hoenn Region a year or so ago. "When I can, I'll stop by your Gym and request a challenge," Alec gave Josh a light grin. "Where's your Gym at?" Alec had asked him. Truth be told, he wasn't sure if any of the former Gym Leaders were still around. He had a feeling that there were a few people that were still Gym Leaders. One name, in particular, was Fernando Silph.

As Alec and Josh continued talking, Alec's Espeon emerged from its Pokeball, releasing itself out in front of the bag Alec had set down on the ground. Luna let out what seemed to be a yawn, grooming itself, not paying her master or his company any mind. However, what did catch her attention, was this pecking sound coming from the roof of the cabin. She looked up to see a Cramorant, plucking the twigs off the roof while wearing a derpy expression. The wild Cramorant froze in place when it finally noticed Luna, glaring at it. Then, without warning, Luna used Psychic, having the wild bird be thrown repeatedly into a nearby tree. Since it liked plucking the surface of their home, Luna figured that the stupid bird wouldn't mind having its beak shoved into a tree several times over. After Luna felt that the wild Cramorant deserved enough, her psychic powers vanished, making the Cramorant fall to the ground, running away as a means to not be succumbed to such torture a second time. After Luna had dispatched the dumb wild bird, Alec had finally noticed she was out of her Pokeball. "When did you get out of your Pokeball?" Alec had asked his Espeon, which made Luna yawn, stretching herself out lazily.

Alec blinked in surprise when he had seen Alexei. Sure, they hadn't met even when Alec was a Gym Leader, but the two knew of one another. "Shit ... Well, I guess there's no point in trying to play dumb with him," Alec thought to himself right before answering Alexei's question. "You got me. Yeah, it's me," Alec said, scratching the back of his head with his left hand. He regretted signing up for that damn loan too. To him, it was no wonder that he was living in a run-down, abandoned cabin out near Meteor Falls. "Oh, ya mean this," Alec pointed to his short orange hair. "Well, had to get Rocket off my ass, and dying my hair was better than wearing some stupid wig," Alec said, being brutally honest with his words.

"Anyway, I'm here for my gym challenge - a one vs. one battle. That is if ya got the free time to battle me," Alec said to Alexei with a determined grin on his face. His look toward Alexei wasn't that of cockiness though. It was out of ambition. He had never fought Alexei for his Gym Badge before, and since Alexei was still in fact the Gym Leader here in Fortree, the dragon tamer was just itching to see what Alexei and his pokemon were made of.

Once they had finished talking, Alec followed Alexei to the open-air arena in the back. Alec pulled out a Pokeball, wasting no time in bringing out his pokemon of choice. A Togekiss that was vibrant; happy that she was released, dancing elegantly in the air. "Xena, here is gonna be my pokemon choice for this battle." Alec said nonchalantly with a hint of confidence in his words, as well as choice. Alec was also slightly eager to see what pokemon Alexei would choose for their battle.

Alec honestly wasn’t surprised when the guy’s Hydreigon was calm around him. Despite that though, Alec knew better than to not step any closer than where he was. Doing so would have caused Josh’s Hydreigon to go berserk. “Evening star, eh? Not a bad name,” Alec said, knowing his region’s language. “I’m guessing you’re from the Johto Region, or that you know a thing or two about the language of the region, am I right?” Alec had said, believing it to be the former. When asked about his, Alec stretched, still feeling tired. “The name’s Alec, and yes, I’m a Dragon Tamer,” Alec had said, having already surmised that Josh was thinking that as well. Then again, his traditional clothing was a dead giveaway.

“I’d show you some of my own dragons, but doing so probably wouldn’t be all that wise. Kokusho’s kind are relatively dominant in terms of their own species,” Alec had said, starting to explain. “Sure, I’m new to him and all, but compared to him, I’m just a human. So my presence isn’t all that bothersome, as you can see,” Alec had said, now believing that it was okay to get a bit closer. Alec slowly held out his hand for Kokusho to sniff it, then a few seconds later, Alec was able to place his hand on its middle head.

“People tend to make the mistake to try and touch one of the side heads rather than the main one. However, that could either have you end up losing your arm or worse,” Alec had said in a serious tone of voice. “All three heads are connected to one another, with the two on the side sending signals to the main head in the middle. The ones on the sides have their senses heightened to the point where their senses are extremely sensitive. A slight poke to their heads or any kind of sudden movements can overstimulate them, causing them to become aggressive and attack without even giving it a second thought,” Alec finished, pulling his hand away as he backed up slowly.

After Alec had finished talking up a storm, which wasn’t like him (especially after just waking up), he realized that the guy never gave his name. “What’s your name by the way?” Alec had said, gesturing to Josh with a slight nod of his head.

Alec had concerned about whether he should challenge a major league gym or not. After all, everyone thought that he was dead. That was when he decided to settle upon challenging gyms that he had never challenged before. Since his track record for gym challenges was on the low side the last time he was in the Hoenn Region, so the chance of the gym leader recognizing him by appearance wasn't possible ... but there was always the possibility of someone remembering his name when he became a Gym Leader over a year ago. He was already entering Fortree City's Gym, seeing the sky expand around him as he entered. "If I had to wager a guess, the gym leader must really like flying types," Alec thought to himself, as he looked around with a calm yet serious expression. He didn't see anyone, so he did what he always did to try and get someone's attention. "Oi, I'm here for a Gym Challenge!" he called out loudly, hoping that there would be someone around to hear him.

Trad singles - 1v1 pls OwO

Alec gasped, waking up from another nightmare. His breathing was heavy; his upper body was drenched in his own sweat. His eyes traced around the cabin warily, still feeling groggy despite the fear he felt when he had awoken. He’s been having these nightmares ever since it happened. The day he almost died. He sighed, managing to get himself out of bed, and getting himself dressed in the clothes he had washed last night. Due to his … living arrangement, as well as lack of money, he only had the bare necessities, which honestly, was fine by him. He kept up with everything that he needed. As for income, he would do what he could around the region sparingly. This was because he was considered to be dead after all.

He grabbed his bag with all of his Pokeball, as well as put on his mega glove. He was surprised that no one came to check on this rundown cabin, otherwise, he’d be more than likely thrown out of it, but he’s been staying here for months. After his gym challenge with Andrea Vaneau , he had been debating on whether or not it was time for him to challenge the major league gyms throughout the region, however, in doing so, would reveal to others who he was. It wasn’t that he cared about whether or not the League knew, but rather Team Rocket. A grimace formed over his lips as he thought of the criminal organization that ruined his life.

Suddenly, Alec’s train of thought was cut off due to a screeching sound coming from somewhere outside. He knew that sound actually quite well. He owned two Hydreigon, so the screeching roars that they often would make weren’t unnoticeable to the dragon tamer. He quickly walked outside with his things, his black cloak blowing with the wind as he walked out of the cabin. That was when he noticed another guy standing a few feet away with his Hydreigon. Alec had figured that there would be trainers coming around here, but luckily that hasn’t happened until now, anyway.

“From the look of things, this guy's Hydreigon is rather vicious. He must have caught it recently,” Alec thought to himself. “Oi, Your Hydreigon was caught fairly recently, right?” Alec asked the guy randomly. Alec had also taken note of the wrecked ground where the smoke was coming from. “Thank god its attack wasn’t aimed at my cabin … otherwise, we definitely wouldn’t be making small talk,” Alec thought to himself.
