Despite the incoming attack, Maximus's determination didn't waver. He kept pushing through the PSYCHIC wave, it's phantasmal body forcing itself through it. Once Maximus had passed through the attacking Metagross, Alec felt as if everything stopped, while oddly enough still continued on. The two attacks from both Maximus's delivery and receiving end had connected. There was no mistake about that. Then finally, both the Maximus as well as Metagross hit the ground where they stood. At first the crowd was silent, as if they were all in shock, and then just like that, the stands erupted with shouting from each and every direction, engulfing the arena in crowd's echoes.

With a soft smile, Alec returned Maximus to it's pokeball. "You did very well. You deserve the rest," He said, clipping the pokeball back onto his belt as he began walking closer to Isaac. Once he was close enough, Alec extended out a hand, waiting for Isaac to accept the gesture for a handshake. "You and you're pokemon did great too." Alec said, pulling out a wireless mic from his back pant pocket, turning it on. "Do you not agree!?" Alec shouted fervently into the mic, making crowd roar much louder with excitement. Before Isaac decided to bolt though, Alec spoke once more to him.

"Tell me something, Isaac," Alec paused, continuing to speak into the mic in his hand. "I wanna ask you ... What's my Gym's Educational Goal? Sure, it's nice reciting lines that have already been said before, but I would like to hear it coming from you, in your own words," Alec said, placing the head of the mic in front of his face so that the audience could here him speak. Hell, Alec didn't care if he took the mic from him.

TL;DR:
- Maximus continues it's onslaught with Shadow Sneak, despite the incoming psychic attack. Due to Aegislash's attack still connecting while the Metagross's attack still took a toll on Maximus, Both of them knock each other out.

- Despite the battle ending in a draw, Alec stops Isaac from leaving and asks him what his gym's educational goal is in his own words.

Isaac Merlo

Once again, Isaac's Metagross employed the same use of Psychic that it had been using, forcing Inferno down to the ground, or tried. With the Metagross being weakened, the Psychic energy wasn't nearly at it's full capacity. Despite this however, Inferno couldn't seem to move from it's spot. This only lead to one solution. However, even Alec knew that this would probably be it for Inferno as far as the battle was concerned. The black charizard once again unleashed a BLAST BURN at the last second at the incoming Tauros with it's ZEN HEADBUTT. The collision from both of the attacks created an explosion between the two pokemon, knocking them backwards. Inferno had attempted to get up, but couldn't. Alec's smirk grew wider as did the crowd's bellowed-out cries of excitement.

"You did well, Inferno. Rest," Alec said as the shiny charizard was returned to its pokeball. Despite Inferno's attack being a fire type attack, with how much damage the Tauros took beforehand was also surely enough to knock it out as well, which meant that Maximus was Alec's last Pokemon, while the Metagross was Isaac's last pokemon standing. "It seems like we're both on our last legs," Alec calls out toward Isaac. Alec glanced over at Maximus who seemed determined to give the Metagross everything it still had. What's more was it didn't seem to be confused anymore either, which was perfect. Alec didn't know what else the Metagross had up it's sleeve, but that didn't seem to matter to Maximus, as he used SHADOW SNEAK, wasting no time in switching to it's SWORD STANCE again. It's body covered in black phantasmal energy as it lunged toward the weakened Metagross.

Alec stood there silently, wanting to see how things would turn out. Would this final attack decide the battle itself? Regardless of the outcome, Alec admitted that this was definitely fun. Isaac and his pokemon were definitely worthy opponents, and if Isaac did manage to pull out a win here, then Alec would still be content.

TL;DR:
- Inferno on it's last legs, attacks the incoming tauros with BLAST BURN. Due to how close the collision of both attacks were, both the Paldean Tauros and Inferno knock each other out.

- Maximus, no longer confused, switches to it's blade stance and lunges forward w/ a Shadow Sneak.

Isaac Merlo

Alec brows furrowed all the more as the man's words were heard. While Josh seemed to 'reason' with him, attempting the man swear fealty, however he didn't seem like he wasn't having any of it. Then again, Alec wasn't even trying to convince the man to stand down and join them. No, he knew that something like that would never reach someone like this guy. As elijah gardner's pokemon continued their onslaught on Josh's Manetric, Alec's Dragonite fired a fully-powered ICE BEAM at the Tangrowth.

With his pokemon seemingly deadset on trying to knock out Josh's pokemon, this left his Dragonite open to level the playing field all the more, and since both of the opposing pokemon were grass types, the cold sting from Veta's beam of Ice would surely do quite some damage if it met it's mark. With it's Tera Type being NORMAL though, it wouldn't be nearly as powerful as normal-type attacks, but it seemed that Veta knew that the attack would still do quite a bit of pain to the opposing Grass pokemon. "You and your pokemon seem to forget that there's two opponents," Alec said with a devilish smirk. If he could knock out another of Elijah's pokemon, then this battle would surely be his and Josh's victory.

The second pokemon Alec and Macha encountered in the Safari was a Drowzee. At first it didn't seem like it was much a threat, but Macha for some reason decided to land a good SUCKER PUNCH on it before it could do anything. Alec watched, blinking in astonishment as Macha's attack knocked the Drowzee out with one good hit. "Well, I guess that's better than nothing," Alec said aloud as he took another Safari ball; throwing it at the knocked out Drowzee. Alec waited for the pokeball to stop moving. Once it had clicked, he would pick it up and keep moving, with Macha following alongside him.

After Alec finished placing the dirt back over the seed, Alec started to water it for a bit. Meanwhile, yet another wild pokemon appeared. A durant, which didn't look at all friendly compared to the shiftry. The Fuecoco once again used INCINERATE, making the metal ant flea once more. "Thanks, Habanero. Keep it up. I'm almost done," Alec said, going back to watering the seed.

With some assistance from Aaron, Alec was now back on his feet, despite his own injury. If it weren't Altagracia's pokemon coming back to help them, things would have ended differently, and not in a good way. "Looks like the worst is over," Alec said, looking around the area, that was when he had noticed something glistening on the ground where the Megalopolan was. He managed to walk over and pick up the object. Whatever it was could more than likely prove useful to them in the near future. He turned while placing the object in his pocket and said, "I think it'd be in our best interest to leave for the time being while we can. Elise needs medical attention even more than I do," Alec said to Aaron, beginning to lead the way back.

As Alec and Aaron departed once again, Josh couldn't help but smile, gently ruffling aaron's hair, reassuring him by saying, "Don't worry, Aaron. You'll get more chances to crush a lot more toes, fingers, and whatever else that belongs to a Rocket Grunt in the near future," giving the kid a gentle smile. to be honest, if Alec were Aaron's age, he'd probably pout about the same thing too. As they continued further north, Alec blinked as Aaron's question regarding Matais.

"Well, truth is, that's the really the only thing I know about him. Aside from his obvious last name of course." Alec said truthfully. It was apparent that MATIAS SILPH was related to Fernando. "Why do ya ask?" Alec said in a slightly curious tone. Was there something that he should know? Other than what was publicly known about him anyway. Alec would listen to Aaron's answer, regardless of what it was. But shortly after the boy would give his answer, regardless of what it was, they were stopped at yet another checkpoint. However, this one was their actual destination.

"Relax, it's me," Alec said to the guards. "Alec Foster - Here with the supplies ya needed. Even managed to get some more from some Rockets along the way with Aaron's help," Alec said to the guards. As they had begun taking the cargo shipment, Alec recalled his dragonite back to her pokeball. He then turned to Aaron and said to him, "Well, looks like we completed our mission. We should rest up while we can before heading out."

As much as Inferno wanted to attack, he couldn't with Buffaloman coming back out on the field, so it settled for playing defense, casting PROTECT in order to prevent itself from being confused. At the same time however, Maximus took a hit from the incoming PSYCHIC blast that was fired from the Metagross. However, despite taking the hit, Maximus was far from being taken down. What had saved him from taking too much damage though wasn't just the fact that the Metagross released it's Mega Evolution, but also because of it's STEEL typing, along with it still being in it's SHIELD STANCE. Every Aegislash Alec knew of had a solid physical as well as special defense, as did most other steel types.

What's more was that on top of Maximus being a Steel type, it was also a Ghost type, which made fighting types completely ineffective to fighting type moves. Psychic types could still damage him, but not as badly as one would think. Isaac's pokemon made a good play but it wouldn't be nearly enough to do his pokemon in. Even with Alec's Aegislash hurting itself from it being confused would only cause some annoyance to it. "Not bad, but Maximus is still in this fight with it being in it's shield stance." Alec started to speak, pausing as he started to notice that the affects of Maximus's confusion were wearing off. Them same, however, was also for Inferno's Mega evolution, returning back to regular form.

TL;DR:
- Inferno casts Protect, protecting itself from the effects of Swagger. It also returns back to normal since this is the 3rd/final turn for it's Mega Evolution.

- Maximus takes the hit from the Psychic attack and also hurts itself from confusion while in it's shield stance. It is now no longer confused next turn.

Isaac Merlo

"Lady, I'm more than ready," Alec had said. Tonbo the Yanmega seemed ready too, having a serious look on it's face as it hovered in place above the ground from where he was released from his pokeball. "Tonbo's speed will be a great asset at the start of this battle. As long as he can maintain his speed, he should be fine," Alec thought to himself as a more serious facial expression formed.

Alec admitted that the woman was straightforward with him, admitting that she indeed wasn't just some Rocket Grunt. However, that also meant that his concerns were definitely warranted, despite not knowing her true status within the terrorist organization. Something told him that this woman wasn't going to fight fair, so he and his pokemon had no reason to do so either. She also seemed like the arrogant type, having not even brought out a single pokemon yet. Then again, most if not all members of Team Rocket were like that. The woman was either indeed arrogant, or perhaps she was simply biding her time for no reason. Regardless, it didn't matter. Alec was determined to defeat her, even if the odds were perhaps stacked against him...

"I don't know," Alec says in a smug tone; a matching smirk forming on his face the moment he started to speak to the woman that appeared. "Never really been the one to give a damn about my own actions really," he said in matter-of-fact tone. There was no question about it. The woman was definitely a part of Team Rocket. What's more is that she didn't look like a grunt at all. "I will say this though," Alec paused, returning his Gardevoir, sending out his Yanmega in her place to start their battle off. His Gardevoir, despite his Reuniclus's healing, had taken quite beating on a number of occasions already.

"It's about damn time. I was getting bored fighting mere Grunts, and something tells me you're no smallfry," He admitted to the woman. Despite him seemingly playing it cool, Alec was concerned. He wondered whether his team was actually ready to face against someone of this woman's caliber. He would assess how strong her pokemon would be for now. If they proved to be too much, then he would attempt to make a break for it, despite not liking the idea of running like some coward. However, he knew that he'd have to play things smart, or at least for the time being.

TL;DR:
- Alec switches out his Gardevoir; starting the battle with his Yanmega instead.

After Alec had successfully dropped off the Cargo at his destination, he and Aaron went their seperate ways. Despite the kid's combat prowess, Alec felt that what he was about to do next was something that he should do alone. The Rocket Checkpoint they had unintentionally raided was practically wiped clean, thanks to their efforts. It would only be a matter of time until either Aaron or Alec himself would be targeted. Team Rocket wouldn't sit idly by after one of their checkpoints were demolished by a teenager and a Gym Leader, so rather than Alec looking for enemies, he sat out in the open, letting the enemies come to him.

Was this a smart move? Probably not, however, Alec didn't care as long as Aaron wasn't targeted by difficult enemy. Since Alec was a Gym Leader, the chances of him being targeted were much greater, which was something that Alec himself had already taken into consideration. He lied in wait with his Gardevoir standing next to him, both of them keeping a sharp eye out for an enemy. The Paranoia he felt still continued to grow overtime, yet that same paranoia was what had been fueling him to keep going. Simply put, he felt he had no other choice. It was either succeed or fail, and he wasn't about to let Team Rocket get their way.
