CONTRARY TO ITS NAME, THE MAJORITY OF THE ULTRA DEEP SEA IS A VAST CAVE-LIKE WORLD. Shafts of light from an unknown source barely penetrate the dark, causing colorful diamond-like rocks to glisten against humid walls. The dim lighting makes the place seem like you're thousands of leagues under the sea... Eerily, an unceasing pulse can be heard like a heart beat that rumbles throughout the realm.[break][break]

Oddly enough, one is able to "swim" through this realm like Water-type Pokemon floating in air.[break][break]

One may stumble upon deep, cold pools of dark water and alien seaweed as they scout out the realm. Segments of this place open up into an astral sea, where islands of mysterious stone are suspended mid-air.

It seemed that it was time for Alec and the rest of the team once again for another expedition into the same place that they had ventured to before. Altagracia Contreras had told everyone that they should all prepare themselves for this new expedition beforehand, which Alec had done so. In fact, Alec being able to TERASTALIZE his Dragonite in his Gym Battle in a way was a great way to train, as well as experience it himself.

Sadly though, Josh Devlin didn't seem to like how the battle stayed in Alec's favor all too much. Thankfully, Alec was able to have his talk with Josh before meeting up with the rest of his team. "Hope you guys are ready! I know I am," Alec said. Once he and the others were finished with their greeting, they ventured through the rift that was in front of them once more. However, instead of appearing where they ended up the last time, they appeared in the clearing where they had set up their little base of operations.

Once they all made it through the rift, Alec tossed out a Pokeball in front of him, calling out his shiny Sceptile, Nat while also turning on his flashlight shortly after, remembering the place being dark. He also remembered the school of Sharpedo and Veluza that Inferno incinerated into ash. Something told the dragon tamer though that there were things probably far more dangerous than the school bewildered fish.

TL;DR: - Alec calls out his shiny sceptile and turns on his flashlight.
Notes: noted icly that everyone said their 'hello's' to one another before venturing into the rift once more, appearing in the clearing where they set up their base.

The Squad was back in action.

Altagracia was looking forward to what they were about to discover this time. And now knowing that they had to deal with Aggressive Pokémon, she had brought along an old friend of hers. One more suited for dealing with larger groups.

Once through the rift, and to her surprise back at their claimed camp, she would summon forth her companions. A powerful looking Skeledirge appeared. Flames enthusiastically flowing from its mouth. Alongside it was a Mantyke, cute and small. It greeted everyone with a happy smile.

“I am ready as well.” She would reply to Alec.

Her Pokémon would each reply with a cry of their own. They too were looking forward to some adventure.

After a while, the team would be back to the depths of the strange deep sea.[break][break]

She had looked forward to seeing Alec and Altagracia again while Aaron was someone she still didn’t really see herself interacting with much, given that he fired off a remark about her last time. Well, they did have to work as a team this time during their second expedition, so there was that. Since they had gone through the rift and to the clearing where they had set up their camp, the woman brought her team of four Pokemon to help for the excursion.[break][break]

Tossing a Pokeball, she would call out her Meowscarada and keep the other three in their Pokeballs. Zorro mewed happily to be out with his trainer and held onto her affectionately, rubbing his head against her arm. Patting him on the head, she could hear her cat Pokemon purr a little over her touch.

Aaron changed up his team for this second round a little bit. He still kept Banette for Flash, but this time he brought his ace in Trevenant. Jellicent was still on the board as well, Aggron for Stealth Rock, Scizor, and Magnezone. Hopefully he wouldn't be overlooked again, but that also depended on what they found. Like last time, he came prepared with potions, flashlights, food, and some first aid supplies. Between the two trips, he noticed that Alec did become a gym leader again. Hopefully he can squeeze in a challenge, but he also wasn't in much of a hurry either. After nodding to each comrade, they were all ready to get going. Going into the portal, they were teleported where they had left off, complete with minimal supplies and tents due to not knowing if Pokemon were going to infest the area again.

Banette came out, using Flash, but staying on Aaron's shoulder this time. There was a path going forward. Stepping to it, he let his Banette light the way. As they reached deeper into the chasm, more and more of the biolumeniscent plants were appearing. The blonde could also start hearing whispers or some sort of ambient sound coming through this way. Like usual, he was pretty silent. Upon reaching another opening, they couldn't see anything outside the luminent glow of their lights and Pokemon, and a few plants as well. But off in the distance, some plants were "turning off". That can't be good. They didn't do that with them. Which could only mean something far worse than the school of Sharpedo and Veluza, and them, were nearby. Luckily, his ghost floated up in front of him, ready for battle.

Whatever was off in the distance, however, was keeping that distance. For now.

Alec had hoped that Elise Calcifet and the others wouldn't treat him differently due to him regaining his status as a Gym Leader. At least he didn't have to worry about Aaron Toral treating him differently. In fact, chances are the kid's mouth would once again get him on Elise's bad side even more. Alec could've sworn that what he said gave her half the mind to smack him like a red-headed stepchild the last time they were all together like this. Luckily, Aaron would be more inclined to focus on any dangers rather than exert his frustration on the people he was working with.

After the others were getting acquainted with their new surroundings, they set out deeper into the chasm, exploring the vast unknown area more. Surely, Altagracia Contreras was more eager about this than any of them, given the fact that she was a scientist. "There's more of these weird-looking plants," Alec said aloud, not able to help but step on some as he walked. Some even stuck to his shoes, which was kinda disgusting when he picked some of the pieces off of them. They didn't even feel like normal moss. It was like holding a slugma that wasn't hot to the touch - just really slimy in texture as he flung it to the side of him, trying not to sling it on the others.

They even managed to light most of the path ahead of them, allowing them to see somewhat better. But just a few minutes of Alec thinking that the bioluminescent moss several yards ahead of them seemed to dim their lights, eventually going out completely. Alec's face grew stern, as well as Nat's. they also heard ... whispers? Alec strained his ears to hear them.

"et ... ut ... get ... out ... GET .... OOOOUUUUUUUUT!!!" the words grew louder by the second. It was then that the thing that made those voices had come into full view, in all of the glorious terror. A megalopolan, with most of its body decayed; presumably dead, was being controlled by what Alec guessed to be an Ultra Beast. Before it could attack them, Nat threw an ENERGY BALL at the controlled Megalopolan's face, using it as a distraction for Alec and the others the means to try and run past it. Alec was sure he didn't not have to stress to others to move, believing they knew full well of how dangerous things have just gotten. As Alec and presumably the others running with him, The Megalopolan yelled back as it gave chase to them once more.

"I WON'T LET YOU ESCAPE!" releasing yet another Nihilego after them. "Shit, one's bad enough. Now there's two of them!?" Alec said, only glancing back for but a brief moment.

- Alec is didgusted by the feel of biolumiescent lights.
- Sheet goes from a 100 to 0 as the bioluminescent moss dim/go out, soon followed by the appearance of a decaying megalopolan being controlled by a nihilego.
- Nat the Sceptile throws an Energy ball at the controlled Megalopolan's face, giving everyone a chance to slip by it.
- Decayed body is unphased, presumes to chase Alec & friends down; releasing another Nihilego as well.

And without further ado they would be on their way. Altagracia busily documented each step of the way through picture taking this time.

Her two Pokémon waddled along, well Mantyke floated more like.

But alas their bliss would not last long. Their previous expedition had offered them adversaries as hungry predators, but this time they would not be so lucky. For what appeared before them defied logic, and could best be described as a zombie led by what she had learned was called a Nihiligo. She quickly snapped a photo of it then put the camera away.

The Skeledirge was quick to join in the Sceptiles attack, a fiery reverberating TORCH SONG sending scaling flames towards the monster. Luckily the heat did not touch Altagracia as Mantyke had quickly jumped upon her, extending its Water Veil to her, protecting her from burns.

But like Alec, Altagracia did not need a reminder to run. But unlike him, she was not about to take chances with the other two. And so she was quick to attempt to grab both Elise and Aaron’s hands and drag them along as she would charge off following Alec.

She watched the professor take pictures of everything in the strange underwater dimension they were in though Zorro would leap forward to deal with the possessed corpse of a shark-like Pokemon controlled by a strange large jellyfish Pokemon. The Meowscarada helps to try to knock the first Nihilego with a Petal Blizzard, the scattered petals swirled around like a twister towards the weird jellyfish who would be chasing after the four explorers.[break][break]

Elise would be pulled by Altagracia to run to safety as she trusted Zorro to distract those things from giving chase to them. Her eyes widen in panic over the second Nihilego quickly approaching the group as the tentacles of the odd jellyfish-like Pokemon wrapped around her arm, feeling the sting of the toxins making her body grow numb a little until it makes her mind lose all inhibition. Zorro’s second Petal Blizzard would distract the second Nihilego into attacking the grass type cat Pokemon as the tentacles let go of the woman’s arm.[break][break]

Her normally composed and dignified personality would be replaced with intense fear, paranoia, and self-loathing from her memories flashing to her as a child being harshly bullied by the other children. “Please…don’t come near me. There are better people to associate with than an outcast like me.” Her voice pleads as she starts to try to pull away from the professor’s grasp.[break][break]

“You don’t have to be nice to me either, I know people can be so cruel behind their smiling faces. Their words hurt my mother too…and she didn’t do anything wrong.” Her self-loathing shows itself through her gloomy expression. “I am afraid this pain I feel will not go away…as long as I continue to be guarded and mistrustful where being alone will give me comfort…and where no one can hurt me terribly.”

Aaron was unfazed. He was about to make his own orders to his Pokemon when his hand was grabbed and pulled and stumbled forward by Altagracia. Banette struggled to hold onto his backpack as one Nihilego went after them and another after Alec. And the one after them was getting far too close. Snarling, the blonde yanked his arm away and out of the Professor's grip. Taking out a pokeball, he released his ace: Trevenant. With a roar that challenged both Nihilego to take him on, the closest one obliged. Only to get a Drain Punch to the face, and being slammed down so hard into the ground that its skin cracked.

The one that went after Alec soon switched targets, and tried to go after the tree. Only for the tree to see it and use Shadow Claw to slice rocks and turn them into pebbles. The wounded Ultra Beast behind it soon retreated, and the one in front of them with the dead Megapolotan went after Trevenant with a vengeance. The tree used Ingrain and readied itself, waiting if anyone else would try to finish this thing off or at least make it retreat.

Once that was done, Aaron paid attention to Elise, who had babbled during the entire fiasco. He couldn't help but wonder if the Ultra Beast had a toxin in its tentacles. He heard enough of that crap. Stomping over to her, he motioned for her to kneel down to his level, assuming she was much taller than his five foot four frame. If she wasn't that much taller than him, Aaron would take both his hands, and harshly squesh her face into a fish face. His hands slapped her face loud enough for it to echo in the chasm, but not so harshly as to leave marks for any length of time. "Those fucks are jealous of you. And to make themselves feel better, they tried to tear you and your family down. You're smarter than them, look nicer than them, a better trainer than them, and more. Stand tall and fuck'im." Letting go of her face, Aaron turned on his heel, and walked towards Alec to continue their trek. His Trevenant gave the woman two thumbs up and followed his trainer.

Alec looks back just in time to see the Nihilego grab Elise Calcifet with its tentacles, immediately pumping its toxin into her. Shit! Alec thought to himself. Even with Nat's speed, he wouldn't have been able to stop the Ultra Beast in time. Luckily, Aaron's Trevanent stepped in shortly after the alien jellyfish poisoned Elise, forcing it to let go of her as it attacked. After aaron faust gave his own little 'pep-talk' to Elise, showing symptoms from the Ultra Beasts toxins, Nat the Sceptile, slammed its hand onto the ground, using FRENZY PLANT standing in front of Elise and Altagracia. The tree-like vines began to separate Alec and Aaron from Alta and Elise, and just as the vines started growing over between them, Alec faced Alta with a smile and said, "Look after Elise. Aaron and I will deal with this,"

Alec finished just as the vines fully isolated them from one another with Nat also with the two women. Alec turned to face the danger that was in front of him and Aaron, prompting the dead corpse controlled by the other alien jellyfish to speak, a small piece of its flesh falling off from its face as it spoke. "IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU FACE ME ALL AT ONCE OR DIVIDED! YOU'LL ALL MEET THE SAME FATE!" it spat, releasing yet another Ultra Beast. Alec didn't know what the hell it was exactly, but from the looks of it, it looked like a Dragon-Type, and possibly a Poison type. "Oi, Aaron. You take care of the free overgrown Jellyfish. I got the flying syringe," Alec said, tossing out two pokeballs in front of him, materializing a Dragonite and an Aggron.

- Realizing that Elise had been poisoned by the Nihilego, Alec commands Nat to use Frenzy Plant to divide the Battlefield, while making sure Elise and Alta are safe.
- This in turn forces the dead megalopolan controlled by the other Nihilego to bring out a Nagandel, while Aaron faces off with the second Nihilego.
- Alec calls out Veta the Dragonite and Brix the Aggron.

“I will.” She acknowledged Alec’s wishes.

And so the battlefield became divided. Skeledirge made sure to stick by its trainer’s side as the two males continued the battle (after a short pep talk from the little one.)

“You and me, we need to find somewhere safe.” Altagracia’s stern voice tried to fight the toxins. But she knew better than to think simple words could fight back against the power of Pokémon toxins.

Anyhow successful or not she would get a move on, letting the fighters do the fighting while she could hopefully find somewhere safe to treat Elise.

After Aaron had given her a pep talk in his own Aaron way, she watched Altagracia approach her after the purple-haired woman gave the slightly taller young man a quiet nod before she would be lifted by the taller woman over her shoulder. “Thank you, Altagracia… I’m sorry that I may be a burden.” She responds to the professor with a somber tone through the toxin still lingering a while more. Her Meowscarada looks on with a worried look as the feline Pokemon follows the duo of women. Zorro had finished fending off the last of the Nihilego, so the grass type had come running to check on his trainer while looking out for any other dangerous Pokemon to fight off.

So, they weren't done. Snorting, Aaron responded to Alec. "I'll take both jellyfish. Dragons are a bit tougher for Trevenant to handle." The wounded Nihilego came back, firing off a Sludge Bomb. Only for Trevenant to use Phantom Force, and evade the poisonous blob. Aaron did have to step back to avoid getting some of it on him. The wounded Ultra Beast charged him...and got a wooden claw through the face. Split in half, his Trevenant showed no mercy for the Pokemon. He then fired off twelve Leech Seeds at the one controlling the large Megapolatywhateverthefuck. It just seemed so arrogant of its strength...and summoning more and more of its friends to make up for them being so easily defeated. If he could hit the thing, maybe slowly drain its power, it would stop.

"If that's all you got, just lay down and play dead for us. You're not even a challenge." The Leech Seeds may have missed, but Nihelgo's puppet screamed with rage, sending another Rock Slide his way. Two spikes grew from Trevenent's forarms, and jabbed them at the rocks, growing in length and creating more glowing wooden pikes. Not a single one made it through, and the multiple Horn Leeches continued towards their aggressor. Dodging them, Aaron wondered if this thing was even started to realize that who it was facing was not to be trifled with. Just leave them alone or face them with everything it had already!

"I'm perfectly fine with that," Alec says, a smirk forming from his lips. "Turns out I'm an expert on Dragons," and with that Veta zoomed forward with the Naganadel firing a DRAGON PULSE at her. Moments before the draconic energy would make contact, the Dragonite blipped out of existence for a split second, using EXTREMESPEED to pummel it into the ground. The sheer force was strong, causing the ground to shake. However, the Naganadel was far from being finished off, immediately coming out of the cloud of dust from where it hit the ground; it's FELL STRINGER lunging forward. Veta quickly crossed her arm slightly, her DRAGON CLAWS glowing green, extending slightly outwards to defend against the incoming attack.

Her MULTISCALES also gave her more durability, only forcing her back a few feet. As soon as she stopped moving backward, she unfolded her arms, arching forward as she fired an ICE BEAM from her mouth. At first, the Ultra Beast seemed to be frozen solid, encased in ice, but within a few moments of Veta letting her guard down, the Naganadel quickly shattered the ice that encased it from the inside and lunged, not at the Dragonite, but at Alec. It's FELL STINGER plunging through Alec's shoulder right where his scar was. Alec had no time to move and once the Naganadel's stringer went through him, he began to mentally drift, as if he were reliving the day he got that same nasty scar.

but a few seconds after, the adrenaline resonating through his body quickly pulled him back to reality, pushing himself out of the Naganadel's stinger. As he fell to the ground he managed to grab the TERA ORB attached to his belt, activating it as it was tossed toward his Dragonite. The energy that spewed forth immediately encased the Dragonite in crystal, only for it to shatter as the Dragonite shot forth from it faster than the eye could see tackling the Naganadel, and crushing it into the stone wall beside it.

TL;DR:
- An intense battle between Alec's Dragonite and the Naganadel ensues.
- The Naganadel manages to shatter the ice encasing it, lunging at Alec and giving him a grievous injury, making him hallucinate the day he was attacked by Team Rocket.
- Despite the brief hallucination, Alec running on pure adrenaline, pushes himself out of the Naganadel's 'stinger' and uses his Tera Orb on Veta to deliver the final blow to the Ultra Beast with a Terastal-Powered Extremespeed.

Lifting Elise wasn’t as hard as she thought.

For a moment she even toyed with the idea of asking about Elise’s dietary plan. But now was not the time. She continued on moving ever forward hoping, praying to find somewhere they could be safe for a moment.

Her Pokemon followed after. And yet, the further away they got the more worried she became for Alec and Aaron. And then she remembered the scatter bang.

With her one free hand, she retrieved it from one of her oversized pockets, and then gave her Skeledirge a determined look.

“Go back there, and help, use this if you need to.”

The fire type nodded, grabbed the thing and hurried back, arriving to see the battle in full swing.

It gave both trainers a mild roar of warning as it charged past them, throwing the SCATTER BANG at the ground near their enemies temporarily distracting, disorienting or should they be lucky scare off the attackers.
