Alec wasn't really surprised with Aaron's callous nature, however, it was definitely something that the kid needed to work on. He understood that he was tough, but that didn't mean for him to be an asshat to everyone he met. However, before Alec could say anything, they were under attack, having come across a Checkpoint, which was set up by Team Rocket. Alec, a little irritated by the small setback, quickly brought outa Yanmega from one of the Pokeballs that was attached to his belt.

After bringing out the Yanmega, it flew ahead with Alec following after him. Despite Aaron's Scizor taking care of whatever fired the barrage of EMBERS, more attacks were being fired, managing to pass through Alec and Aaron's Scizor, heading straight toward Aaron. That was when Inferno stepped in front of Aaron, casting PROTECT, forming a barrier of energy around him and Aaron, shielding them both from harm. As Alec had rushed ahead, a Houndour jumped forth attempting to attack him.

Alec quickly pulled out a STICKY GLOB from his pocket, throwing it at the Houndour's face, obstructing it's view, while also having it stick to ground, due to the fact that it's face hit the ground hard. Tonbo then released a BUG BUZZ, making a supersonic wave of sound that came from the fast vibrations of it's wings, disorienting all enemies around them. This would give Aaron's Scizor time to come in and attack as well, along with Inferno. Even though Veta would stay with the cargo, Alec was confident enough that she could handle herself without Alec needing to look after her. Besides, she'd be able to keep the Cargo from getting damaged or stolen all on her own as well.

Alec was relieved that the Sharpedo ran away. However, another wild pokemon appeared - a Veluza, which appeared to be just as aggressive. Luckily, Alec pulled out a SCATTERBANG; throwing it down toward the ground after pulling it out of his pocket before the Veluza could attack him. The loud popping sound was loud enough to scare it off. However, he realized afterwards that he only had one left.

"Oh well. Better than becoming a dangerous wild pokemon's snack," Alec thought, immediately focusing on the new message that he got from Elise. After he read the message, he replied one last time, using the same code.

They are. Josh and I were only lucky that we and our pokemon made it out alive. Also, the pokemon in the interdream scapes like to attack in swarms. If you ever need help, Let me know.

Alec said in his message; rereading it before clicking send. He'd offer anyone assistance, especially Elise. The last thing he wanted was for someone that he knew to die. If he could help in any way, he'd do it without question, which surely Elise knew that about him already. Once the message sent, he placed his phone back in his pocket, focusing on getting out of the open.

Even as Alec's dragonite finish terastallizing; managing to get through the TAILWIND while passing a couple of the racers ahead of him. He had a feeling that terastallizing Veta would've been much better than trying anything else. What's more is that the next incoming obstacle seemed relatively easier than the other obastacles they've gone through so far in the race, which only meant one thing.

"Veta! Extremespeed, now!" Alec said while making sure to hold onto his Dragonite, cuz she's was about to move at much faster speed thus far in the race, and he had seen just how fast Veta moved while Terastallized, so he'd rather not violently fall off of her as she began to move at a super-high speed. He didn't think he would win the race, but that didn't mean he wasn't gonna make it easy for the other competitors either.

Alec smirked lightly at Josh's thanks, showing his appreciation. However, this battle they were in was far from over. In fact, it looks like the fun was just about beginning, seeing how elijah gardner brought out not only a Tangrowth but also a Gogoat. It seemed as though the man didn't take Veta delivering the finishing blow to his Frogadier all too well. Well, if he didn't like that, then he sure as hell wouldn't enjoy this," Alec thought to himself as he watched the Gogoat try to attack his Dragonite with a LEAF BLADE, only for Veta to dodge it, using EXTREMESPEED, while countering, sending her tail right into the Gogoat's face with same burst of speed, sending it flying just as fast into the Tangrowth, while simultaneously helping Josh's Manetric in a way.

Despite Alec's hatred towards Team Rocket, he was still think smart. The same went for his Dragonite as well. Alec wasn't able to gauge just how tough this guy and his pokemon were as of this moment. For the time being, he just seemed like some smallfry, but Alec's slight caution enabled him and his pokemon to do better in this battle, which would pay off in the long run ... or at least he hoped.

With Inferno unleashing yet another BLAST BURN, it exhausted itself, and since it had already undergone its Mega Evolution already, it couldn't stop the onslaught that was about to ensue from Isaac's pokemon's incoming attack. However, due to Maximus hurting itself earlier, it regained some sense of composure for the time being, swooping in front of its comrade, performing its last KING'S SHIELD, protecting Inferno from the Metagross's HAMMER ARM.

The physical contact the Metagross made with Maximus's protective barrier severely sapped its physical strength greatly. Even though Maximus had managed to protect Inferno from the Metagross's incoming attack, Isaac's Paldean Tauros managed to get a hit on Inferno with its CLOSE COMBAT, abandoning defense for all-out offense.

Despite the seemingly nasty blow that had been delivered to Inferno, it was still far from being finished. "You got a bit careless," Alec said to Isaac. He did admit though that if it weren't for Maximus's Interference, both incoming attacks would have definitely finished it off. However, Isaac's Pokemon themselves weren't in great shape either. His Tauros had taken quite a beating from earlier, and with his Metagross forcing itself to maintain its Mega Evolution, the strain was surely incredibly nasty, making it practically in the same condition as the Tauros.

Alec was right when he said that he wasn't going to make it easy for him, but from what Alec could tell, Isaac seemed determined to keep going. Regardless, this battle was very close to its conclusion. It was just a matter of who'd come out on top.

- Due to Maximus hurting itself from its confused state, it regains composure for the moment; allowing it to perform its very last King's Shield, protecting Inferno from the Mega Metagross's Hammer Arm. -2 Attack on the Metagross since physical contact was made on the King's Shield. 1 turn left until Maximus is no longer confused.

- Inferno, despite being protected from the Metagross with the help of Maximus, takes damage from the Paldean Tauros's Close Combat.

Isaac Merlo

This was the moment Alec had been waiting for. This was now the climax of the battle between Alec and Isaac. Shortly after Isaac had returned his Scolipede and called out his Paldean Tauros, Alec finally activated his MEGA GLOVE, thrusting it upward above his head. The energy gushed outward like water rushing out of a broken damn. The gym Leader had a look in his eyes, stalwart and unwavering as the energy cackled to life, enveloping around the black Charizard, making a cocoon.

This would once again force the Metagross backward, albeit a little just as Inferno's Mega Evolution process began. Sharp spikes violently jutted out from his shoulders, while its flames changed color from orange to blue; not just at the tip of its tail. Blue flames flowed from the sides of its mouth continuously as well and then, the cocoon of energy shattered, showing Inferno's awakening, letting out an invigorating roar that shook the ground slightly.

The PSYCHIC blast produced by the Metagross did some damage to Inferno, but the brunt of its attack couldn't fully penetrate through the cocoon of energy that formed around Inferno as it Mega Evolved. What's more was that due to the Mega Evolution process, Inferno was immediately recharged, no longer being affected by the discharge of its BLAST BURN. Meanwhile, Maximus immediately performed a STANCE CHANGE before the effects of the opposing Tauros' SWAGGER kicked in. This would bolster its defenses once again as it started hurting itself due to it being CONFUSED. This didn't come at a cost though, as Maximus had no choice but to waste a KING'S SHIELD in order for it to change stances.

Inferno once again opened its maw violently, unleashing yet another BLAST BURN onto the Mega-Evolved Metagross. This time however, the fiery attack's parameters were increased as well as the power behind the attack itself. This would inevitably put Isaac even further into the corner that he was placed in. If Isaac and his team had a plan, then it was now or never. Otherwise, yet another of Isaac's Pokemon would be unable to battle.

Alec had once again been passed, going back to Fifth Place, but he had no intention of staying there for long."If you wanna play dirty," Alec said, pulling out his TERA ORB, wasting no time in activating it. "Then let's play dirty!" Alec says with a grin as the Terestal energy enveloped around Veta's body, encasing her body in a plaid crystalline sheen, changing her typing to a pure NORMAL type, hopefully allowing her to push through the opposing TAILWIND with ease.

As Alec read the new message, he checked his surroundings once more. That was when a Sharpedo appeared, having the same kind of aggression as the ones he, Elise, and the others faced before. Luckily, there's just the one here, rather than an entire hoard, Alec thought to himself, releasing his Gardevoir from her Pokeball. She was still banged up from fighting the prehistoric dragons. However, as long as his Reuniclus was still healthy, it could heal his injured Pokemon with relative ease. The Gardevoir released a MOONBLAST, attempting to finish off the Sharpedo quickly, however, its speed allowed it to tank the ball of fairy energy, CRUNCHING down on the Gardevoir's arm. The pain being too much, Alec recalled the Gardevoir back to her Pokeball before the Sharpedo would rip her to pieces with its sharp teeth, then brought out his Reuniclus.

The Sharpedo once again lunged at the Reuniclus, doing the same thing as it did to the Gardevoir, however, the moment its sharp teeth clenched down on the Reuniclus's arm, the Psychic pokemon released its energy, using PAIN SPLIT to immediately transfer the pain to the Sharpedo, causing it to swiftly swim away. Alec sighed in relief, recalling his Reuniclus. Once the psychic Pokemon was safely back in its Pokeball, he typed his message in code back to Elise.

I've heard mentions of others calling them a 'Roaring Moon'? I don't really like the name personally, but hey - beggars can't be choosers. And, yes. I definitely think that there are other prehistoric Pokemon like them too, and are probably just as dangerous as those dragons are.

"Our aggression!?" Alec thought to himself, his facial expression fuming with anger. Was this guy serious!? Did he know what Team Rocket has done!? It made Alec wonder if elijah gardner was just a small-time grunt. If this were the case then this battle wouldn't even be a challenge for him. Regardless, Alec was still, if not even more determined now, to absolutely clobber this guy into the dirt. With Josh's Absol's TAUNT, it forced the opposing Frogadier to attack the Absol with a powerful HYDRO PUMP. What's more was that due to the STICKY GLOB that Elijah used, immobilizing Josh's Manetric.

Despite this, the Manetric was still able to attack, unleashing a DISCHARGE, empowered by the SYGNA SUIT that Josh wore; smoke billowing out from it. That's not good. Josh is battling too recklessly, Alec thought to himself. Meanwhile, Alec's Dragonite tanked the Mantetric's Electric Attack, no longer having a weakness to Electric-Type attacks due to its Terastallization turning it into a pure NORMAL TYPE, and with its MULTISCALES, it gave the Dragonite more durability, allowing her to try and sweep the Frogadier with a DRAGON TAIL. If the attack connected, it'd force the frog back into its Pokeball.

The first Pokemon that Alec and his Sprigatito ran into was a Munna. She floated around them happily, not considering them to be a threat. Alec was relieved, considering the last run-ins he and his Pokemon had before, with exploding voltorbs, a feisty phanpy, and a lot more. Alec pulled out a treat for the floating psychic type, which she seemed to like, using its psychic powers to let the treat float in front of her in order to eat. As it was eating, Alec pulled out a Safari Ball, pressing the button near her, catching the Munna. Alec wasn't sure if she wanted to go home with him, however, she did the take the treat, so maybe she would want more? Who knows.

Here Alec was, once again back at the Safari Zone. There was another Pokemon native to the Paldean region - A Quaxly, as it was called. According to what he heard about it, it was a duck-like Pokemon. There was also the fact that it was a water-type as well, which was the reason why he had brought his Sprigatito along with him. Her Grass typing would be great in handling water types, especially if they turned out to be aggressive. Alec wasn't sure whether or not that was the case, but he was a firm believer in playing it safe rather than being sorry about it when things didn't go according to plan.

Safari Balls: 4/4

Alec crossed the bridge of crystal he had, thanks to that Mysterious Ore he had found near that temporal tear. Even though he hardly understood stuff like that, he was still grateful to people like illeana reyes who explained what they did and how they could be used. Just as Alec made it to the other side of the crystallized bridge, he figured that it'd be best to set up a trap of some kind. The still-growing paranoia Alec felt ever since he entered the war front made him Antsy.

What's more, was that he was also messaging someone; giving them vital information. Alec pulled out a STICKY GLOB, setting on the ground a few feet in front of the bridge. After placing the adhesive on the ground, Alec then placed a POISON BARB right on top of the sticky glob at its center, making sure to have the sharp poisonous end sticking out of the top of the adhesive. After he grabbed some Bioluminescent Moss, throwing it over top of the adhesive as well as the barb, Alec continued moving ahead, entering his newly coded message to Elise.

That could be a possibility, but how that woman explained the Interdream Scape as a whole, that might not be the case. If remember her RVL Route, she, or the game rather, stated that the Pokemon we saw wasn't even supposed to exist. She even called it an abomination. The only way that can be determined is by having the League's Head Scientists research them. If I had to wager a guess, There could already be research being made. It just hasn't been made public yet and for a good reason.

As Alec listened to Aaron, he eyed the vicinity around them as they continued making their way north. Still, everything seemed to be in the clear, as there weren't any signs of Team Rocket. There also weren't signs of other dangers either. At first, Alec thought at first that his reasoning for joining was intentional, but Aaron actually confirmed that it wasn't.

He explained further, saying that Littleroot is home, which made sense, given the recent attack on the small town. Alec was still in hiding around that time, which was why he didn't do much. If one thought of his current situation in regard to being reinstated as a Gym Leader, that was also something he considered 'unintentional'. It wasn't like he had asked for his job back, let alone expecting it to happen. It just ... did. Not gonna lie, Alec confessed to himself that his sudden reinstatement concerned him quite a bit, As Alec believed that it was just a way for the Higher-Ups to keep tabs on him. Despite them having a good reason to do so, it was like he was secretly on house arrest.

Yet, they decided it'd still be a good idea for him to be a part of this battle, despite his obsession for revenge. Alec gave up on trying to understand the reason behind those that were above him. "I guess that makes sense," Alec started to say. "us Gym Leaders that are here on the front lines didn't have a say in the matter. Regardless, I wanted to be here too." Alec said, his hand gripped tightly as he walked. Aaron knew that Alec wanted nothing more than to rid the region of Team Rocket; not just because of his occupation either.

It was more personal than that. After all, they did try to kill him. "If I could, I'd kill each and every single one of them," he thought to himself. Aaron's statement shot him back to reality, prompting him to speak again. "Hatred can do many things to someone - even make them do things they thought they'd never do," Alec said, talking from personal experience. Alec was even sure that there were those among the opposition who fought with hate as well. Alec wasn't naive to the notion that those among Team Rocket joined them because Society failed them. However, Alec believed that in so doing, they had just given up completely. To him, that was a poor excuse. Throwing your life away all because society rejected you? Alec considered that reasoning flawed, despite the fact that perhaps the League itself was part of the blame.

Did Alec believe that the League was open to change due to their past mistakes? Honestly ... Alec didn't know the answer to that question.
