Alec had ventured to the Petalburg woods, accompanied by his Fuecoco that he had caught while roaming through the Safari Zone a couple of weeks ago. He was here, not necessarily because he enjoyed the place, but rather for personal reasons. He was here to plant a GRACIDEA SEED. Alec didn't know what it'd grow into but apparently, it'd grow into something special. He found a patch of flowers growing, deciding that this was the perfect place to plant it. As Alec started digging up a small patch of dirt, he looked around, making sure that wild Pokemon wouldn't spring up out of nowhere and attack him. These woods, if he remembered correctly were crawling with poisonous Pokemon - some that were grass or bug types as well, and he'd rather not get poisoned.

As the saying goes, there was no rest for the wicked. After Alec parted ways with Josh after leaving the Interdream scape, he had pulled out his phone, deciding to relay the information to Elise Calcifet . Alec typed his message carefully, rereading it over a few times before clicking send. the Message read as follows:

It may have seemed like complete and utter nonsense, but that was the beauty of shifted encoding. Each and every letter for each word was shifted in terms of the Alphabet. The reason why Alec did this was that he assumed that Team Rocket had the means to hack all kinds of communication, so he didn't want to take any chances. There were also additional letters that should be ignored. The message translated as 'Dangerous. Highly volatile unknown species of Pokemon within. The ones I encountered appeared to be prehistoric and resembled Salamence.'

Alec hoped that Elise would be able to decipher it, and if so, she'd more than likely have a question or two.

Alec pressed on through the vast Ultra Deep Sea, hoping that Josh and the others were okay. After using Nucleus to heal his Pokemon, he kept moving, deciding that it'd be a good idea to not stay in one place. What's more is that despite the healing that Nucleus provided, Athena and Veta were a little worn out, having to fight against those odd-looking Salamence in that Interdream whatever it's called. The ever-growing paranoia Alec had upon entering the conflict was still there, however, it wasn't as severe as it had been. Perhaps it was because he and his Pokemon had taken a quick rest before heading out.

Either way though, Alec knew that it'd be only a matter of time before he would encounter yet another enemy. What's more is that since he was a Gym Leader, that meant that he had an imaginary target on his back. All he could do at the moment was hope that everyone else was safe and doing the best that they could. Eventually, he had gotten word that the rift needed guarding as Team Rocket was assembling more forces through the rift, wasting no time in getting there.

The battle between the League and Rocket still continued to rage on within the Ultra Deep Sea. There were also some groups within the League located a bit north of Alec's location who were running low on supplies, which ultimately led him to be the one to deliver a good bit to them. Luckily, he wasn't alone in doing this job. Aaron Toral, who was accompanying him. The kid and Alec already knew one another, working together on a couple of expeditions before the war between League and Rocket ensued. Alec admitted to himself that his sens of paranoia had not left him. In fact, it only grew.

"We'll let Veta here haul the cargo. That'll let us keep a better eye out for enemies," Alec said, gesturing to his Dragonite. With that said, they started to head North. As they walked with Dragonite hauling the wagon of cargo behind them, Alec decided that this would be a good time to talk with Aaron while simultaneously watching the area around them. "So, tell me something. Why get involved in the conflict between the League and Team Rocket?" Alec had asked the kid. Sure, he just like any other person didn't like Team Rocket, but why get involved at his age? Alec figured that he'd be more interested in earning his Gym Badges. Then again, Aaron wasn't like most kids. He was reserved and didn't really talk to others all that much. Alec had wondered if perhaps Team Rocket had done something to him, or maybe someone he cared about. Alec had wanted to ask Aaron that question ever since he brought up the battle at Littleroot, but he didn't have the time, nor considered it to be the right time to ask.

It was just a matter of whether or not Aaron would indulge him.

"Then maybe you should've thought more carefully before coming here!" Alec's serious expression didn't falter, even when elijah gardner lifted his cloak revealing a frogadier. Just as it released a SMOKESCREEN, Alec pulled out a SCATTERBANG from his pocket, only to throw it down on the ground in front of him. The loud popping sound would hopefully disorient Elijah and the Frogadier both, allowing for his Terastallized Dragonite to go in. Its Terastal energy giving its EXTREMESPEED a boost, moving so fast that their eyes wouldn't be able to see, gunning for the Enemy pokemon at ultrasonic speed.

Alec wasn't going to make this easy for his enemies. Against Team Rocket, there wouldn't be anything that Alec wouldn't employ. He would make sure that they didn't escape, and with the use of Scatterbang on top of his Dragonite's speed would only solidify that more.

Alec was paying attention to what was happening on Josh's end, seeing that his Dragonair had fainted. As he and his Aerodactyl descended down for Josh to recall her, one of the Roaring Moon was gunning for them, and fast. Inferno, not needing to be told what to do, Swiftly dashed toward the Roaring Moon, slamming its tail on the prehistoric dragon hard, making smash into the ground away from Josh, knocking yet another one out. Once Inferno had seen that Josh and his Pokemon were safe, the mega-evolved Charizard turned toward the injured Roaring Moon that was hit by the dragonair's HYPER BEAM, unleashing a powerful BLAST BURN, engulfing them in a sea of flame in the sky.

The sheer power behind the attack, made the prehistoric Pokemon drop like flies smoke billowing from their bodies as they fell to the ground hard. As Inferno descended back down, landing near Alec, its Mega Evolution Dissipated. Some of the Roaring Moon that were grievously injured fled while the ones that were unconscious remained where they were. Alec quickly tossed a Pokeball at one of the unconscious paradox Pokemon, waiting to see if the Pokemon were able to be captured. After Alec returned his Charizard to his pokeball he walked towards Josh. "Are you guys okay? If so, I'd catch one of those things and get out of here before more of them decide to attack us." Alec said. He probably didn't have to say that, Josh was very much aware, but it wouldn't hurt to advise it.

Alec watched on as the Mega-Evolved Metagross once again attempted to blockade his Charizard. Despite the blockade though Inferno violently opened its maw, firing a powerful BLAST BURN, just as the Scolipede reached a few feet away from it, engulfing the vicinity in front of it with a massive flame. Meanwhile, Maximus changed his target once again, attempting to attack the Metagross with SACRED SWORD, targeting one of its legs.

"Fool me once; shame on me. Fool me twice; shame on you," Alec said to Isaac with a smirk. The intense flames that the Charizard produced wouldn't reach Isaac's Metagross, however, with the Scolipede coming in quickly with its ROLLOUT while Inferno was held down still wasn't enough to stop Charizard from attacking, and BLAST BURN was just as nasty as Nat's FRENZY PLANT from before, possessing more power behind it, and since it was a fire attack. It would make either the Scolipede faint right then and there or it'd use BATON PASS and switch out for the Tauros.

The way Alec's Pokemon were responding flawlessly toward Isaac and his team's Tactics was a clear reflection of their master's, as well as their own resolve to do whatever it took to defeat their enemies. Surely, Isaac had the same resolve reflected back, but them using the same tactics wouldn't get them anywhere. It was also clear that Alec wasn't set on using his Mega Glove still. Perhaps it was his own stubbornness from doing so, or maybe he was waiting for the perfect moment to use it.

Isaac Merlo

Alec continued to watch on from the ground below as the battle between his and Josh Devlin's Pokemon battled the prehistoric dragons. Despite the newly-acquired advantage that his Dragonite as well as Josh's Dragonair had, it seemed that the Roaring Moon was able to counter their speed, firing a multitude of SCALE SHOTS at them. Alec's Dragonite, not wanting Josh's Pokemon to succumb to the barrage fired at them, used EXTREMESPEED to zip in front of Resheph to protect from the brunt of the onslaught. Once the attacks hit their target, Veta fell to the ground, too weak to continue fighting. Her terastallized body returned to normal. Alec, sweating from seeing the sheer power these prehistoric dragons held, returned Veta to her Pokeball.

If it weren't for her MULTISCALES, the Dragonite would have more than likely died, taking on all of those hits at once. However, Alec knew that Veta did it in order to protect Josh and his Dragonair, not wanting them to get seriously injured. Alec grabbed yet another Pokeball, now bringing out his strongest Pokemon. Josh had never seen his Shiny Charizard in action before, let alone its mega evolution. In truth, Alec didn't want to use his Mega Evolution so soon, however, it wasn't like he was left with many choices. Two of his Pokemon now were knocked out, so he had to try and do something that would turn the tide and his Charizard's Mega Evolution was the best way for them to get out of this alive.

Alec activated the keystone embedded in the center of his MEGA GlOVE he wore on his right hand, the energy gushing out of it violently; washing over Inferno. Its skin was changing from black to a teal-ish color, while flames from its mouth gently flowed from its sides. With a defiant roar, it took flight, unleashing a devastating DYNAMIC PUNCH to one of the ancient dragons, knocking it out cold with a single hit. Despite the one being knocked out cold, there were still several others that Alec and Josh had to deal with. What's more, was that these paradox Pokemon reminded Alec of the Naganadel that he and his pokemon fought on one of his expeditions. If he and his Pokemon were to fight such a frighteningly powerful foe, then they had no choice but to go all out. "Inferno! Hit them hard!" Alec commanded, as his mega-evolved Charizard continued its own onslaught.

"Very likely story," Alec says, his expression not changing. He has never seen this guy before, and it was likely that Josh Devlin didn't know the man either. The entirety of Ultra Deep Sea was a warzone, and for someone to be completely on their own in the middle of a warzone only made the man's statement made him all the more suspicious. Alec grabbed the TERA ORB that was strapped to his belt with the rest of his Pokeballs. "You're gonna have to do a lot better than that to convince me," Alec said, wasting no time in tossing the orb into the air, thus activating it. The Terastal energy spewed forth, surrounding Alec's Dragonite, encasing it crystal, only for it to shatter with the Dragonite gain plaid colored sheen, shining like a diamond.

The tossing of the Tera Orb was the signal for Josh to act. Alec didn't want to waste the chance by speaking to Josh over the comm link that was nestled in his left ear. With the activation of the Tera Orb, plus with Josh hopefully making his move, elijah gardner's true colors would eventually show.

"Apparently, not these ones," Alec says. Despite the DISCHARGE from Josh's Manetric, Athena had managed to avoid getting hurt by it due to her TELEPATHY, which allowed her to proceed with a new attack of her own. She unleashed a SPRINGTIDE STORM on the hoard of prehistoric dragons, causing a massive storm, swinging them all in the air violently. Well, it figures that Fairy-type attacks are effective against them," Alec thought to himself.

However, despite the new struggle set before these paradox pokemon, one of them managed to break into the storm, gunning for Athena, attacking her with a NIGHT SLASH sending her flying; knocking her out. "Dammit. These things just hit harder," Alec said, as he returned his Gardevoir back to her Pokeball, however, this had given him an idea. "Veta, attack 'em with EXTREMESPEED!" Alec said, while also grabbing his TERA ORB with his free hand, activating it in order to Terastallize Veta into a normal type. With her tera-type awakening, she burst into supersonic speed, attacking some of the paradox pokemon. None of them were able to keep up with how fast Veta was moving, and due to her swiftly and constant strikes, The hoard seemed to be focused on her, rather than attacking Alec himself.

"I'm perfectly fine with that," Alec says, a smirk forming from his lips. "Turns out I'm an expert on Dragons," and with that Veta zoomed forward with the Naganadel firing a DRAGON PULSE at her. Moments before the draconic energy would make contact, the Dragonite blipped out of existence for a split second, using EXTREMESPEED to pummel it into the ground. The sheer force was strong, causing the ground to shake. However, the Naganadel was far from being finished off, immediately coming out of the cloud of dust from where it hit the ground; it's FELL STRINGER lunging forward. Veta quickly crossed her arm slightly, her DRAGON CLAWS glowing green, extending slightly outwards to defend against the incoming attack.

Her MULTISCALES also gave her more durability, only forcing her back a few feet. As soon as she stopped moving backward, she unfolded her arms, arching forward as she fired an ICE BEAM from her mouth. At first, the Ultra Beast seemed to be frozen solid, encased in ice, but within a few moments of Veta letting her guard down, the Naganadel quickly shattered the ice that encased it from the inside and lunged, not at the Dragonite, but at Alec. It's FELL STINGER plunging through Alec's shoulder right where his scar was. Alec had no time to move and once the Naganadel's stringer went through him, he began to mentally drift, as if he were reliving the day he got that same nasty scar.

but a few seconds after, the adrenaline resonating through his body quickly pulled him back to reality, pushing himself out of the Naganadel's stinger. As he fell to the ground he managed to grab the TERA ORB attached to his belt, activating it as it was tossed toward his Dragonite. The energy that spewed forth immediately encased the Dragonite in crystal, only for it to shatter as the Dragonite shot forth from it faster than the eye could see tackling the Naganadel, and crushing it into the stone wall beside it.
