Alec pressed on through the vast Ultra Deep Sea, hoping that Josh and the others were okay. After using Nucleus to heal his Pokemon, he kept moving, deciding that it'd be a good idea to not stay in one place. What's more is that despite the healing that Nucleus provided, Athena and Veta were a little worn out, having to fight against those odd-looking Salamence in that Interdream whatever it's called. The ever-growing paranoia Alec had upon entering the conflict was still there, however, it wasn't as severe as it had been. Perhaps it was because he and his Pokemon had taken a quick rest before heading out.

Either way though, Alec knew that it'd be only a matter of time before he would encounter yet another enemy. What's more is that since he was a Gym Leader, that meant that he had an imaginary target on his back. All he could do at the moment was hope that everyone else was safe and doing the best that they could. Eventually, he had gotten word that the rift needed guarding as Team Rocket was assembling more forces through the rift, wasting no time in getting there.

Her hood is pulled up, her gaze darting from one corner of the cavern to another as she beckons for Reiner to hurry. If she gets caught wandering by anyone from the League, if they know enough about her from whatever records the League might have distributed on her, she would no doubt be arrested on the spot, questioned about everything - What happened that day, where she's been, why she never contacted anyone.[break][break]

It's not that she couldn't. It's that she had become too afraid to even try.[break][break]

The way Reiner suddenly perks up has her on high alert, her breath withheld as she tries to spy whatever it is that he might have. And sure enough, she spots a figure up ahead, seemingly injured or simply too weary as they try to navigate their way through the same cavernous route. She doesn't dare to call out to him, but she knows that he'd probably have noticed their presence by now.[break][break]

The only thing she needs to decide now is whether she's making a break for it or actually trying to fulfill whatever duties of stopping him from reaching the rift.

Alec continued to walk ahead, not paying attention until his ILLUMINATING Reuniclus spotted something in the darkness ahead. Alec tensed a little bit and said, "Who's out there!?" he called out. That was when the Reuniclus shined a SPOTLIGHT straight ahead. When the Reuniclus's Spotlight shined down on a Luxray and it's very small trainer, Alec's body instantly relaxed, seeing the little girl and her Electric Pokemon.

"Are you alright?" he called out the little girl, not sure if she was injured or not. Alec also was wondering why any child around her age was here in such a dangerous place? Did she know that this entire area was a warzone? "I got some food too if you want some," he called out to her. Despite having the Reuniclus's Spotlight shining on them, he still couldn't make out any precise movements, given how far away he was from the girl and her Luxray.

[attr="class","inner-finally"]The way that he calls out to her makes it sound like she's some kind of wild pokemon, but perhaps that in itself is preferable compared to him treating her like an enemy and firing without hesitation.[break][break]

"I'm okay!" She calls back, giving Reiner a gentle squeeze on the shoulder as they get a little closer. Even if he hasn't started chucking rocks at her, they still have plenty to be cautious about. In fact, it's exactly because he hasn't done anything that he's honestly suspicious.[break][break]

"What are you doing around these parts, Mister? Haven't you seen those scary Rocket people? Or the paradox monsters?"
