"Where would we go?" Cami's lips pressed in a thin line. She wasn't sure, she hadn't thought that far yet. It was a valid question for sure but she certainly didn't have any answers. "I'm...not sure. Anywhere away from here." Cami said as she shifted to fully turn and face Kolya now. [break][break]

She gently nuzzled her face against his chest as she cuddled closer to him. "How would we even get away? You know what I do for work, Cami. Who I work for." A frown formed on her face. Yes, she was well aware of the work her soon husband-to-be was up to. She never faulted him for it, not really. She understood why and how he got to where he was. Besides, his work kept a roof over their head. [break][break]

Especially after Camila lost her clinic, it had been hard to find work in the medical field again. She lacked the funds to make another clinic and it would seem no one wanted to hire a doctor with a darken and littered past. So in the meantime she had to go back to what she knew, before she worked her ass off to become a Doctor. She worked as a waitress now but that was nowhere near enough money to properly live off of.[break][break]

Add into the mix her boyfriend was a hitman for Rocket and you get the current situation they were in. "I know." Cami said, her voice soft, almost like a whisper. "But you've worked for them for so long, surely they can let you go." it was a long shot, she knew better than anyone that's just not how things work. But Kolya was different. "They can't deny the contributions you've made to the organization." she said as she lifted her head to look at him. "Use that. Out of everyone there you deserve to have a break more than anyone. After all the things you've done for them, this is the least they can do."[break][break]

Cami bit her lip. "I...I really can't stay here Nikolaj. I can't stay here and bring our child into this world here. It's too much."

Nikolaj knew Camila so well at this point. Not just in the bedroom but who she is as a person, at her core. He was the only person who could make her feel safe in his arms yet hungry for him to ravage and ruin her at the same time. Firm hands gripped her hair and pulled her head back to expose her throat to him. The swift movement coaxing a delighted gasp from the Doctor.[break][break]

Her chest rose and fell rapidly as the couple hungrily embraced one another and stole their breath away. Camila could feel her heart swell as their bodies became entangled in each other. She really did love and cherish this man with her whole heart. She couldn't wait to start a family with him and she couldn't wait to spend the rest of her life with him. He made her so happy and after so much of her life spent suffering she almost felt guilty to feel this good with him.[break][break]

After a bit of time passed the two of them laid cuddled against one another on the bed. Kolya reached to gently caress her lower abdomen while he buried his nose in to her hair. Camila softly hummed a lullaby that her mother had taught her when she was younger. One of the last good gifts her mother had given her. She gently placed her hand atop Kolya's while he planted a sweet kiss on her shoulder.[break][break]

After she finished her little song it grew quiet for a moment. Camila's thoughts lead her to thinking about their family once more. She slowly turned so that she could look at Kolya before she placed a gentle hand against his face. "What if we run away?" she asked him. The question sounded like a whimsical joke but her eyes showed she was serious. "What if we start a new life someplace else? Away from Sinnoh. Away from our pasts and our enemies?" Cami lowered her gaze. "I want to get away from here. Have a fresh start." she sighed softly.

Nikolaj's grip on her hips immediately gets her in a mood, as it often does whenever he touches her like this. If she really took the time to think about it, it wasn't so strange that she was found to be pregnant now considering just how often they practiced lovin' on each other like this. [break][break]

"I love you too," he replied, his voice dripping with affection for her that caused Camila's heart to swell. "Aww baby" she replied. He was so cute she could just eat him up. Kolya then quickly closed the distance between them, taking Cami by surprise, and planting a passionate kiss on her lips. [break][break]

"Mmm," was Cami's hummed response as she wrapped her arms around his neck while he wrapped his around her body. One of his hands snaked up to rest on the nape of her neck. Cami felt her pulse quicken as her cheeks began to warm. She reached up to gently tilt his face up before parting his lips and deepening the kiss. [break][break]

Her other hand began to rest against his chest before teasingly lowering to find purchase underneath his shirt. Her hand greedily felt for his muscles while she pressed herself closer to him. Taking a moment to catch her breath in the kiss she gently tugged on his bottom lip with her teeth as a low chuckle escaped her lips. [break][break]

No one managed to get her as excited as Kolya did. They had such fun together and loved each other so deeply and passionately. She found it was like a deep seated hunger in her that craved for Kolya's constant touch and attention. She could never get enough of him honestly. Though that could be attributed to how naughty she was. She could do this all day and it would be no problem for her after all.

Cami kept picking at the seam of her slip until Nikolaj came and sat next to her on the bed. He was right, this certainly wasn’t how she imagined her life would be going. A few hours prior she was just suffering from feeling unwell. Before then she was just living day to day with her boyfriend. They had their own share of difficulties and things weren’t perfect by any means but Cami had the privilege of staying by his side and that’s all that mattered to her.[break][break]

She got to fall asleep and wake up next to the man she loved more than life itself at this point. She’d felt strongly about Kolya for a while. But back when she had her clinic she just had too many responsibilities on her plate. Not to mention she was used to isolating herself. She could never really afford to waste time on any sort of relationship while she was grinding through school. Romance was out of the question back then. [break][break]

Not that she didn’t have plenty of opportunities, but rather she just shoved them all away. How could she have time to love someone when she didn’t even have time for herself? She was living paycheck to paycheck, and even though the work was grueling and she hardly ever got real rest, it was still her first priority. She loved what she was doing and she didn’t want to compromise that. At least that was her headspace prior to meeting Kolya. He had a way of stumbling into her life and changing everything. Kolya was many of her firsts. He was incredibly special to her. He made her laugh, he talked sense into her on numerous occasions. He was one of the only people on the planet that could handle her smart-ass mouth and attitude. Before she knew it she’d fallen for him. It was extremely scary at the time too. Falling in love and realizing that put Cami in such a sensitive and vulnerable spot. Recognizing that, Kolya was so gentle with her. He listened to how she felt, listened to her fears, and then tried to accommodate. Much like now. Camila was in such a new position. Being pregnant was a big fucking deal. She was sure she’ll have more moments when the anxiety will threaten to consume her just like it did. But whenever that happened Kolya was always so good at supporting her and easing her burdens. “I don’t have a ring to put on your finger yet, but will you marry me anyway, Camila?” Nikolaj asked as his blue eye peered into her own. She could tell just from how he was looking at her that he really loved her. That was never a doubt that Cami had. He always made sure to share his affection for her in numerous ways. (And positions) Camila felt her heart flutter at the question, but who would she be if not a tease? A mischievous smirk formed on her lips as she turned and placed her hands on Kolya’s shoulders, getting up to straddle him before sitting in his lap. “Hmmm. I don’t know. You know, that’s kind of a big decision.” She said in a clear playful tone before resting her forehead against his. [break][break]

“Of course I’ll marry you.” She said with a smile as she lifted her hand to caress his face. “I love you. And I always intended to spend the rest of my life with you.”

"We need to get out of here. Maybe we can move up to Snowpoint City, or at least into the countryside. Then no one would know where we are," Camila's frown deepened as she listened to the suggestion. Living in the countryside wasn't an issue for her, she didn't mind that. But at this point remaining in Sinnoh wasn't an option. She'd been feeling this way for a while now. But this place held no love for her nor did she hold any love for it. [break][break]

Sinnoh was just a reminder of everything painful she'd experienced and lost. A fresh start to raise their family had more appeal to her than staying here. She'd bring the topic back up to Nikolaj later. When Nikolaj rose from the bed he took the warmth with him. Camila shivered before she moved catching the whiff from her shirt and frowning. She'd washed up before she came back outside but it still smelled like when she was sick in the bathroom. She'd need to change. Nikolaj had gotten up to pry up the floor boards it seemed before he turned back towards her. "What do you mean, 'what about us'? We stay together, of course."[break][break]

Camila was on her side of the room by now. Lifting her dirty shirt off and tossing it in the dirty clothes bin she chuckled and turned back towards him. "No baby, that's not what I meant." she said as she moved to grab a clean change of clothes. She walked into her closet to grab a few things. "You're stuck with me, so that's a given." she continued, her voice muffled as she was hidden in the closet looking for clothes. [break][break]

By the time she came out she'd changed into something more comfortable. Tying the slip around her waist she continued. "What I meant is do we take our relationship to the next step?" she said with a smile while pointing to her ring finger. "You know what I mean? Making me your cute little wife." [break][break]

It was clear her mood was much better now than earlier. The earlier stress and anxiety having melted away into excitement and expectation. Sure there were still some things to be nervous about but with Kolya with her she felt like she could take on the world. Dumping the rest of her clothes in the bin she reclined back on the edge of the bed as she touched her stomach. [break][break]

"I want our baby to see their mama and papa happy." she continued with a soft smile. "I know we're plenty happy without being married but..." in her head the picture of being officially recognized as Kolya's partner appealed to her now that ever before. It's just what she thought of when she thought of a happy loving family. [break][break]

A slight blush colored her cheeks before she turned to look at him. "Our whole life is gonna look different now you know? So..." she said as she glanced down to pick at the seam on her clothes. Cami wasn't usually one to shy away from conversations but for some reason this one had her flushed thinking about it. After all this was all happening all of a sudden. "I just wanted to ask about it."

Camila appreciated that Nikolaj was taking the time to encourage her. With him by her side she felt like she could really do it. A lot of the earlier anxiety that she was feeling was fading now that she realized she really wasn't going to be alone in this. Kolya cupped her swollen face gently as he brushed the tears away from her cheeks.[break][break]

"I don't know if I'll be a good father, either," he said as his hands lowered to gran hold of her smaller ones. "But I do know I don't want to raise our baby like this." he had a point. Living paycheck to paycheck with no real security in a small flat like this didn't appeal to Cami. This was no way to raise their child. [break][break]

To be honest, Cami didn't even want to stay here in Sinnoh. Too many bad memories to haunt her. Too many enemies that they both had to look out for. "You're right." she said softly as she slowly lifted his big calloused hands to gently place a tender kiss on his knuckles. "We can't stay here Kolya." she said as she peered up at him. "It's not safe."[break][break]

Cami offered her boyfriend a soft smile as she reached up to cup his cheek in her hand. "And you'll be the perfect father for our kid. How could you not when you love on their mama so well?" Taking another glance around the room, her eyes landing on the magazine of the gun Kolya always kept tucked away in their nightstand drawer. [break][break]

Her forehead creased as her frown deepened. "I...I don't want to raise our child here Kolya." Camila said as she looked back at him with a serious expression. "Think about everything we've gone through. We have our share of enemies here." Her frown deepened as she thought back to how her clinic was ruined as she was gravely injured all because of some thug's insulted pride. All her hard work and achievements went up in a blaze of smoke in an instant. [break][break]

"We can't raise a child while always having to look over our shoulders. I won't do that." Speaking of how she ideally wanted to raise her child, it reminded her of them. They hadn't been together long and now they were in this predicament together. A serious one as bringing in a life into this world. [break][break]

"And...what about us?" she asks. "Do we just stay like this?" Camila knew in her heart that she loved Nikolaj. She couldn't see herself with anyone else if she was being completely honest. Hell, she was already locked in now that she was pregnant with his child. But marriage was something entirely different. She wasn't quite sure how he would feel about that. Even though Cami had long been prepared to spend the rest of her life with him.

Within moments Nikolaj had pulled her into a comforting embrace, one she hadn't even been aware that she needed. "No, no, I'm not upset. I don't hate it," he reassured her which brought more tears to her eyes. Thank Arceus he didn't hate it. She felt so relieved to hear those words. But it wasn't until the pressure started to release that she began to slowly realize why they weight had lifted off her shoulders. [break][break]

She wanted this little baby.[break][break]

Beyond the fear and uncertainty if she could even be a good mother to the child, she wanted this child. Their child. And it would seem she wanted the baby from the moment she became aware. She just wasn't aware of this yet herself. It's why she was so nervous and scared to find out what Nikolaj would think. Why she felt uneasy about her capabilities because she wanted to do her best for this baby.[break][break]

"Do you want to keep it?" he asked. "Because I do, but only if you do, too." he continued as he rubbed her back gently. Camila lowered her hands from her face before looking up at him. Her cheeks were red and stained with tears but for the first time since she left the bathroom her gaze was strong.[break][break]

"I do." she answered him. "I want to keep it but..." her gaze drifted around their room. "I'd be lying if I said I didn't have my doubts." her eyes widened, "But not about keeping the baby! Just...if I'm good enough. Capable enough to be a mother. You know I didn't really have a good one myself." she said as turned to face him.[break][break]

"I'm not sure yet on what kind of mother I'll be but I know for sure I don't want to raise my child suffering the way I had to." Her hand curled into a fist. That was something she would not budge on. She would never allow her child to suffer the way she did. She'd been at rock bottom, something Kolya knew very well as she'd shared her story with him. He also knew how stubborn she was once she set her mind on something. "I want to my best for them."

Camila waited with bated breath as she felt Nikolaj sit up and flick on the light to better see what it was that she handed to him. She watched as slowly the realization of what he was looking at took over and she continued to watch in silence as his jaw dropped and eye widened. [break][break]

Cami couldn't breathe if she was being honest. She wasn't breathing the entire time she watched him take it all in. "Camila…" he said her name so softly but it was quiet all around them so it sounded louder. "Is this real? Are you… are we…?" he asked in disbelief. Camila wasn't quite sure how to take that.[break][break]

She nodded slowly. "Are you...upset?" she finally managed to breathe out. She couldn't bring herself to look at him. "I should've known right away. I'm ten days late...now that I think about it." she continued with a shaky voice. Her gaze lowered itself to their bedsheets as she picked at them nervously with her nails. [break][break]

Cami was afraid to find out the truth of how he felt but she also could no longer stand the suspense. She needed to know where he stood. "Do you hate it? I mean..." her voice trailed off as she ran shaky fingers through her hair. "What do we do now? I-I don't know what to do...I'm scared." she finally admitted before hiding her face in her hands.

"I did, but I always have fun with you," Kolya replied smoothly before leaning in to steal a kiss from her lips. She happily obliged him, always enjoying whenever Nikolaj doted on her. Smiling and leaning more into the kiss she thought about all their happy memories together. Perhaps it was the ride and the mood that her feeling so nostalgic but she was suddenly overcome with gratitude for Nikolaj and the life they had together. [break][break]

As their carriage reached the apex of the Ferris Wheel muffled booming sounds echoed as fireworks cracked and lit up the evening sky. Camila chuckled at the cheesy display but it just further solidified their romantic evening. Cami was so glad to have Kolya in her life, they were blessed with a daughter from their love and Cami wouldn't trade that for the world. [break][break]

If anything, it further strengthened her resolve to protect these things that she cherished more than the entire world. Cami was strong, but even she had moments of weakness. But for her family she'd do anything for them because they'd given everything to her. Cami leaned close and placed another gentle peck against Kolya's rough cheek. "I love you," she whispered as she gently played with his beard. "To to the moon and back."

This was getting dangerous. She wondered what would happen next. In fact, she wasn't even aware that Macro Cosmos would even put something as risky as this in their little game. But she certainly wasn't complaining. She was having the time of her life, this of course coming only second to having the real thing. Deciding to keep to her own realistic choices she quickly clicks the option she would most likely do. Option B.[break][break]

Once Nikolaj was out of the room Cami's bravado crashed. Leaning her back against the closed door, with trembling hands she pulled out the pregnancy test. She was an emotional wreck but she needed to pull herself together. She couldn't avoid this or pretend it didn't exist now that she knew about it. [break][break]

After a few agonizing minutes as she waited for the test results to come in she began to think about her life and her childhood. Memories she'd rather not revisit but found themselves coming and invading her mind anyway. Her childhood wasn't all bad. But after the death of her father everything fell apart so quickly. Her mother lost herself and forced her child to fend for herself in a cruel world where everyone around her wanted something from her. [break][break]

Camila had to work her ass off tirelessly, never having a moment to break because if she did she'd never make it out. And once she finally did make it out, her mother left her behind in this cruel place too. Camila didn't know the first thing about being a mom. Her time was spent hitting the books. She was just as clueless here as she was when it came to romance but at least Nikolaj was there to support her. [break][break]

Hot tears streamed down her face as she stared back at the results she already knew to be true. Could she do this? She was terrified if she was being honest. But there was a small piece of hope among the fear and anxiety. Camila slowly rose to her feet and opened the door to the bathroom. [break][break]

She didn't say anything but slowly made her way towards the bed and wrapped her arms around Kolya. She was trembling but whenever she was scared he'd always been there to reassure her. He made a promise to her so surely he'd keep it now too right? After a moment she pulled back and wiped at her face before placing the test in his hands. [break][break]

"It's...not food poisoning." she said softly.

What she might have deemed warm-up luck quickly turned out to not work in her favor as she swiftly suffered defeat at the hands of her husband. Camila barely even tried to hide her displeasure, her cheeks puffed out and rounded as she pouted and sulked while glaring at the popped balloons.[break][break]

"I think Sasky would love this," Nikolaj replied, and she was sure their daughter would love whatever her darling father decided to gift her. Camila's mind was still on her loss. She never did handle losing well, this her husband was well aware of at this point. Perhaps that's why she could practically feel his amusement radiating off of him as they walked side by side. Nikolaj wrapped his arm around her and pulled her close before leaning close to whisper in her ear. "And I'll give you your consolation prize when we get home," Camila quickly felt her cheeks redden as she pushed Nikolaj away in an embarrassed huff. "Y-you think that's enough to distract me?" It clearly was. Because at the end of the day, no one could ever wind Cami up so tightly the way her husband could.[break][break]

Their date continued in relative ease. They played plenty more games and even got to try some of the festival's unhealthy food. Cami might've been a doctor but she wasn't a tyrant all the time. Even she allowed them to have their share of cheat days. Before she knew it they made it to the main attraction for the night, the Ferris Wheel. [break][break]

Camila always felt nervous with these pop up festivals. Overnight they would set up so how safe could this Ferris Wheel really be? She tried to push the thought from her mind as she and Nikolaj climbed into the oncoming carriage and took a seat beside one another. Kolya put his arm around her before planting a warm kiss atop her head. [break][break]

"Did you have fun tonight?" he asked and she smiled as she leaned her head against him. "I did." she said softly as she gently took hold of his hand. "As scary as things were for a moment it's nice to finally have a break like this." she admitted. "What about you? I know this probably wasn't your ideal date but..." she said as she turned azure orbs towards him. "I hope you enjoyed yourself nonetheless."

Camila’s squealing and laughing was sure to bring attention to her one way or another, but she couldn’t help it. She was just so into this right now. And what could she say? She was a sucker for everything that involved her Papa Beat. “Why’s there no option for all of the above?” She asked as she finally managed to compose herself. Her face peered into her screen as she attempted to make the hardest decision of her life. (No pun intended) [break][break]
