With the Morpeko now a part of her trusty team, Vanilla ventured off in search of more Safari'mon to discover. She had 2 Safari Balls left and wanted to see if she could discover some cooler kind of Poison Pokémon while doing her time here in the Safari Park. "We haven't checked over there yet, Proxii. Let's go see what's over there." The two scurried across the field as it took them to a dense forest-like area. The trees here were thick and fat, taking up a good chunk of space that cluttered the rest of the field. Something was tapping against the tree nearby as the teen stuck her head out behind a tree to investigate. Before them, a Chespin was attempting to climb up one of the tree in order to secure a berry of some kind. Proxii would take a quick scan of it before the both of them would move on for another Pokémon to encounter.

The sound of footsteps racing up towards the ranch could be heard as a familiar pink headed girl and her Rotomphone were racing towards the porch of the ranch. Just as they were coming into view, a familiar voice would shriek out. "Thomas! I need your help!" She was panting by the time she had gotten close, Vanilla trying to catch her breath to explain what had happened although no words came out. This wasn't helped either by the tears streaming down her eyes, the absolute fear of losing a Pokémon that was ultimately on her alone.

Thankfully Proxii was present to go and translate.

"We were training our new Skeledirge when we ran into a super tough poison type. It poisoned it with something and the stores are all out of antidotes nearby. Can you help her?"

Vanilla threw out the pokeball containing the poisoned fire croc, its warm form faltering as it let out a pained, lethargic cry. Even the small fire bird resting atop its head would seem restless, drooped over the side of the croc's body. The young trainer had caught her breath, looking up at the man with pleading eyes, her voice nearly screaming. "Th-This is all my fault! I'm sorry, I messed up! Please save Cayenne!"

Vanilla was intrigued. While she would have expected some kind of traditional battle at a gym, the non traditional battle sounded a lot more fun, even if the idea of racing super fast terrified the girl. It made sense why Elise had ridden a Rapidash here now. She was training for an upcoming race or challenge of some kind. Could you challenge non gym leaders in a gym? Why would she be going anyway? "I'll be doing Mauville's gym soon enough, but would you help me train for a bit, Elise? I could really used help. I don't really do heights or speed well, but I need to win this race." She even gave the princess some baby eyes.

Of course, a nearby floating Honchkrow flew overhead as Vanilla took a quick snap of it for Proxii. QWCK! "Another Elcroball! Let's go!" The Rotom shot out another electric projectile at the bird, shooting it out of the sky. Before it could smash into the ground, Vanilla threw a Pokeball at it.

With the Mareanie in hand, Vanilla stashed the Pokeball inside of her jacket pocket. Proxii returned back to his Rotomphone while the two continued to hunt for safari zone Pokémon. Their journey took them into the great and vast plains across the zone. The color green was as abundant as there were bones in Biscotti Kingsley 's body. The younger Kingsley sledged through the vast wilds as a whirling circle was going across the fields, electricity crackling around the thing speeding around. "Gah!" Vanilla dove to the side just in time to see the darkened, pill shaped Pokemon that had been responsible. "A Morpeko?!" she gasped. "Ahhhh, you're so adorable! I gotta catch you!" Her hand dove onto her belt and threw out Ribbon. The Sylveon let out a cheerfuly cry as Vanilla pointed at the frustrated Morpeko.

"Draining Kiss!"

Ribbon would launch a barrage of kisses at the hangry Pokemon, draining it of energy as it would reverted back into its full belly mode temporarily. She threw a safari ball at the Morpeko, watching as it rocked back and forth with baited breath.

The duo began to wander about in the Safari Zone, with Vanilla traveling around through the many bushes around the rolling greens. Proxii hovered around the girl while scouting around from above, providing invaluable recon information. She was going through the many hordes of Pokémon. They traveled in packs and Vanilla found herself more interested in watching them interact in the wild like this, almost forgetting the reason she even came here. It wasn't until her RotomDex would bump into her as she'd awaken from her little daze.

Their travel took them towards a lone Mareanie sitting by a river bank, plunging its tentacles inside of the water as it seemed to be washing itself free of some kind of lavender substance. Proxii, the ever excitable companion, quickly scanned the Pokemon with a soft QWCK! and then would hold the phone as Proxii ejected himself from it and was ready for a quick battle. "Electro Ball it while it's in the water!" The Rotom launched its attack at the unsuspecting Mareanie, electrocuting it as the river water acted as a conductor. The wild Pokémon flopped over by the shore, followed by a Safari Ball that captured the fallen poisonous Pokemon.

WHO AM I?

Vanilla is a lot of things. A Galar native come to Hoenn in search of her missing father. While doing this, she's been neglecting a lot of her own interests and is clueless on what she really like and wants to do with her life. It's tough being the daughter of an ex Pokémon Ranger, although Vanilla does want to try and join someday. We've threaded in the past with these two and they seemed to hit it off well enough! So any future threads of them teaming up would be fun!

RANGER BASE, THIS IS VANILLA

Despite her young age, she's gotten into her fair share of trouble. Wandering into The Wilds, exploring Ultra Space, even going to Mt. Pyre, all in search of her missing father who was an ex Pokémon Ranger. He left before she was born, so it's possible that he may have mentioned his lovely daughter to you or any other Rangers about the bundle of joy that would turn out to be this aspiring trainer. She's also young enough for that little dumpling point for you to have somebody to helicopter parent over.

GOTTA CATCH 'EM ALL...OR SCAN 'EM

Proxii, Vanilla's trusted RotomDex, is on a mission to catalogue every Pokémon in the natural world. She's hunting around for like minded people to help him complete this endeavor! Being a Ranger, Frabcie could maybe have some insight into where tge more rare and cool Pokémon are!

Vanilla nodded along as Proxii and her would prepare themselves for battle. The fumbling, anxious looking trainer to be glanced over at her Sylveon, the eevee evolution cheered out for her as its ribbons swayed in the wind. "You're giving us the first attack then? I would have thought you'd be down for it, but we can do that." Vanilla frowned still, although her head bobbed up and down as she glanced briefly at Azula. The Houndoom towered over Ribbon, its impairing glare hidden behind the skull it wore struck fear into the heart of the trainer. She hesitated to act, although her Rotomphone playfully poked her forehead.

"You're overthinking things again. Just focus up on the fighting and worry about the type stuff later."

Vanilla quietly frowned, although she looked ready to battle after a little delay. She'd position herself behind Ribbon as her hand would begin to form different shapes and signs as Proxii would act as a relay between her and Ribbon. "Go and use Disarming Voice!" He called out. The Sylveon bounced forward and would then unleash a shrill, sweet voice onto the Houndoom, aiming to lower its aggression.

Vanilla sat above the riverbed, looking in at the many shapes in the water that had been ferrying Pokémon across the water on its back. The teen had to keep herself from diving in and showering this poisonous Pokémon with as much love and affection as her little hands could allow. She took out Proxii and took a video of their antics, eager to see if she could get lucky and get a lucky catch!
