[attr="class","lyco2"]Deciding to take Isaac’s advice, she swept around the barn, once again. The woodwork, all seemed very intact. New even, almost like it had been built fairly recently. “I don’t really see anything out of the ordinary. All seems pretty normal from this angle.” [break][break]

Almost as if she had read Isaac’s mind, she turned to look at him and then to the very large steel lock.[break][break]

“Although I do wonder if anyone would object if we took a closer look inside. I mean we could sneak in, pick the locks or something really action movie… Maybe it’d be easier if we ask the owner a few questions and proceed that way?”[break][break]

She tilted her head a little to one side. “Unless you wanna be all ‘action movie’. I mean.” [break][break]

As if of her own accord, Nasu appeared. Bursting free of her Pokeball and hovering over the path. Looking down at Ayana a look that plainly said; 'Watch yourself, or you’ll give it away.'[break][break]

Ayana puffed out her cheeks, returning to her happy-go-lucky self in a second. “I was playing, you know. Jeez, can’t even make a joke without your Pokemon going all ‘mama hen’ on you.” She crossed her arms and turned away, back towards Isaac. Only to unfold them seconds later as she realised introductions were in order.[break][break]

“Oh, Isaac! Right, this is my Gengar, Nasu. Nasu, Isaac.” The large purple ghost looked down at Isaac imperiously and with such force behind it, it was if she was scanning him. [break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]Ayana had lost sight of Finn amidst the hundreds of bodies pushing to get away from the scene or swarming around in hopes of getting a better look. She realized there wasn't much point in trying to force her way through. She recalled Voltorb with a flash of a Poke Ball, pocketed it, and turned around, wondering if she could catch up with him before anything too serious happened. [break][break]

Ignoring the looks of people who had clearly seen her intervene in the battle or whatever was going on in the distance, Ayana shrugged to herself.[break][break]

Once clear of most people, Ayana ducked and took a left down a side street. There wasn't much there, except for a few stinking bins and a door which she assumed led into the back of a nearby shop. However, a ladder or fire escape, time and time again, proved itself as a valuable resource to a police officer.[break][break]

Hoisting herself up into a bin, she tugged at the base of the old, rusted, and clearly disused fire escape. It creaked loudly as Ayana tugged on it and eventually, with some force, fell an inch above the dumpster's lid.[break][break]

A short climb later, Ayana found herself on the flat roof of a nearby building. She could still hear the commotion below. There wasn't a siren, so clearly, the police had not been called.[break][break]

"Hey, boss. Looks like he's got you cornered. Want us to come and help? Over." said a voice. Ayana ducked and slipped behind an air vent, listening hard. "Boss? What do you want us to do? OVER!"[break][break]

It was another two men, dressed in dark clothes, huddled at the edge of the rooftop, peering down, one with a pair of binoculars and the other with a walkie-talkie held to his balaclava-covered face.[break][break]

"We better move anyway," the first man said, pushing the binoculars away. "Boss needs us."[break][break]

"Or..." Ayana said, stepping out. "You can face me instead." The two men merely laughed at her. "Stupid, little brat, ya' wanna go? Get outta here if you value your life."[break][break]

"No thanks. I'd rather show you what your life means to you." Her face suddenly became extremely blank, and her expression sharp and cold as ice. She threw a Poke Ball out, and the bright pink Musharna appeared, a plume of smoke rising above its head.[break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]The young cafe owner couldn’t help but smile as Elise agreed that she would happily go and see the Ecruteak Dancing with her. Even though she had a lot of royal duties, she was quite sure. [break][break]

Ayana tilted her head slightly, as she imagined that very image… All done up and dressed in an extremely fancy dress that flowed an inch from the ground. Asked to dance by faceless man in a black suit and we waltz around a large marble-laid ballroom at some very fancy estate. [break][break]

“I mean, I’ve not done anything like that,” she muttered, slightly taken aback by the idea. Privately thinking that if she went to a private formal party, it would seem like something from a spy movie. Nasu passed by, holding a tray of tea cups. A large smirk crossing her face as she had been clearly eavesdropping on their conversation and was laughing at the idea of a fancy Ayana, from afar. Ignoring this, Ayana turned back to the Princess. [break][break]

“But yeah! I’d definitely be game. You got my details, if you ever wanna contact me. Plus you kinda know where I hang out now, heh.” [break][break]

She indicated the Café with a smile. “You're welcome back anytime, your highness. Mi casa es su casa! Or something like that... I’ll make sure to keep the fancy tea stocked up. Just for you!” [break][break]

Briefing: [break]Mr. Sterling, a regular in the café, wants to study some really cool molten rocks from Mt. Chimney. Let’s go get them! [break][break]

Ayana had taken on a rather unusual mission - to find some "really cool" molten rocks from Mt. Chimney for a regular customer at the café she worked at, Mr. Sterling. She found herself at the peak of the volcanic cliffs of the mountain, a natural wonder that stood tall at 5000 feet. Ayana couldn't help but admire the breath taking view of the distant horizon. [break][break]

“Look, look. It’s already really really cool!” Ayana exclaimed, pointing to the vast expanse of land before them. Nasu, her trusty Gengar, floated alongside her and shared in her admiration. "But, remember! We can't get distracted it's too important!" Nasu rolled her eyes, but remained close at Ayana's side, always vigilant and ready to protect her trainer from any danger. [break][break]

"We can't get distracted," Ayana reminded herself, wagging a finger at Nasu. "We're here to find those stones for Mr. Sterling." She paused for a moment, the thrill of the adventure starting to sink in. "OOO! It's like we're doing a fetch quest in a video game!" [break][break]

As they started their search, Ayana couldn't help but feel grateful for the malfunctioning cable car that brought her to this magnificent place. She relished the opportunity to explore the mountain at her own pace, taking in all the sights and sounds of this amazing place. [break][break]

With each step, Ayana's excitement grew. She was on a mission to find the perfect stones for Mr. Sterling and she was determined to succeed. She scanned the area, her eyes darting back and forth, looking for any clues that might lead her to the coveted stones. [break][break]

As they walked further, Ayana could feel the heat emanating from the mountain's molten heat. The rocks beneath her feet were rugged and sharp, evidence of the mountain's fiery past. Ayana and Nasu continued their search, slowly making their way further up the mountain. [break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]Ayana couldn’t help but grin as she strode towards the barn. The young undercover investigator was clearly enjoying herself, and while the circumstances weren't exactly fun, she felt free to be her happy-go-lucky self without fear. [break][break]

The barn was situated behind a tall wire fence, with a rough dirt track leading up to its tall, wooden doors. A thick metal lock jangled between them, adding to the security measures. "I've noticed a few things," Ayana said, as she studying the area. [break][break]

"There aren't any tracks from cars, vans, or tractors or anything... Just a whole lotta footprints. If the thieves used a vehicle, they didn't park it right at the door. And the security is top-notch - you'd have to get through two doors and a fence to get here." [break][break]

She placed a hand on her chin and furrowed her brow as if deep in thought. "It looks like stealing defenceless Pokémon from here would be quite the challenge for any villainous types." [break][break]

Turning to Isaac, who had been observing her, Ayana asked, "What are your thoughts, Junior Detective?" [break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]Ayana was prepared to run after the thieves and do whatever she had to do to help Finn recover his stolen belongings. There was no way she was going to allow such injustice to happen right under her nose, even if she couldn't reveal her true intentions. [break][break]

But before she could take a step, Finn called her back and pulled out a Poké Ball from his pocket. He threw it at their feet, and a small green-and-white Pokémon appeared in a flash of light. "Oh!" Ayana exclaimed, gaping at the cute creature. "Kirlia, you're just so adorable!" [break][break]

Finn quickly issued instructions to Kirlia, who nodded and then vanished along with Ayana and Finn, reappearing in the midst of a crowd of people running in all directions. It was chaotic, but it provided them with more room to work. Just as a scooter zoomed past the three of them. [break][break]

"That's the one, right?" Ayana asked, tilting her head a little. Without hesitation, she reached into her pocket, pulled out a Poké Ball, and threw it at the scooter. "This one is new, but it should do just fine," she said with a smile to Finn, who was running after the thieves. "Anko, use Leech Seed!" [break][break]

A flash of white light revealed a small, wooden Pokémon; resembling the Poké Ball it had just been released from. Thin vines shot out from nowhere, flew down the road, looped around the tires of the scooter, and knotted themselves in place. [break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]Unable to hold herself back any longer. “Your Highness!” Ayana exclaimed, almost upsetting an entire pitcher of milk. Which was quickly saved by the sudden appearance of Gyō who appeared as if out of nowhere and, thankfully, had the ability to use Psychic. [break][break]

With no need to cry over spilled milk, Ayana turned to look into Elise with large bright eyes. “If there is anything that I can do to support you, just let me know! I want to help you. Help you to fulfil your dream!” [break][break]

She paused for a second before adding, “I know it might be difficult for you, with your duties as a member of the Royal Family. But, still I’m really, really, really, reeeeeaaaaally serious. So here…” [break][break]

Ayana turned away from the counter, grabbed a pen from a messy pot aside the till and began to scribble away. After a few seconds, she turned back with a small card on her palm, face up. [break][break]

It was one of the Café Dream business cards. Written on it in curved writing was her phone number. “And hey, if we both find ourselves in Johto again. Maybe, we could see that show together? You know for old times sake!”[break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]With immense happiness, Ayana continued to quick march her way, quite merrily, through the thicket of forest that was this part of the Safari Zone. She had picked up a long branch, fallen from up high and was banging it against the trunks as she went by. As if to enjoy the sounds the individual trees made as she passed at speed. [break][break]

Ayana was making so much noise that she failed, once again, to notice a very rare and elusive Pokémon sink down into the depths of a nearby lake. Falling to the very bottom of the clear water, like a great boulder and therefore out of the reach of noisy trainers. The thick-bodied ghost, Nasu, was following at a safe distance. While absent-mindedly watching its trainer’s progress, gently floating several inches above the forest floor.[break][break]

"Ooo! So, whats next! Let's go, Nasu! C'mon!" Her quick march quickly became a run. Ayana's excitement building to greater and greater proportions. [break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]As Ayana, alongside a few of Isaac’s Pokemon, continued to jump in the mud. Isaac couldn’t help but tease her. “That’s fine, I like them a lot! They’re all so cute and friendly! Aren’t you! You've done a good job training them!” She said, patting the Pignite on the head. [break][break]

Ayana paused as she caught sight of something. She paused, literally standing on one foot as if to not step in the puddle any more. [break][break]

“But, I think. That we should be getting to work. Heh, Becaaaause I think I’ve found a clue.” [break][break]

She pointed into the largest of the muddy puddles, which was the one below her, with a single finger. “What would you say that is?”[break][break]

A small round footprint was impressed into the mud. “Looking around at all of us. None of our footprints match. Nor do any of the farm critters since there is two prints here and they mostly have four feet. Those are small and oddly shaped. Very close together so it must stand kinda like this.”[break][break]

Ayana pushed her feet together and stood almost at attention.[break][break] “What do you think? Shall we investigate~ My friendly ward?” [break][break]

[attr="class","lyco2"]As Elise explained about her dream and Ayana couldn’t help but listen with great intensity. The Café wasn’t named Dream just for the catchiness of the title. She liked to try and help people to find and maybe even push them towards their wildest dreams as best she could. [break][break]

Elise’s words brought back a memory that Ayana thought was lost deep in her subconscious. She had been in Ecruteak for one of a Kimono Girl performance once, when she was very young. She was sat with someone in a dark kimono… who she couldn’t quite place. It wasn’t her parents but ...so who was it.[break][break]

Then, after a few seconds of silence, Ayana jumped as if startled. The memory ended and she was back in the Café. “Sorry, I must have zoned out for a second there. I was thinking about the Ecruteak Dance Theater. You reminded me of when I went to one of the shows. It was truly magnificent! I really want to go back one day and see it all over again! Especially if you’re there, your highness.” [break][break]

Ayana smiled and pulled the empty tea cup closer to her, refilled it and passed it back. [break][break]

“I really think you should try and make your dream a reality one day. I know you’ve got to worry about an entire kingdom though, so it’s tricky.” Ayana paused thinking about her next words carefully. [break][break]

“Dreams are important and it’s something that keeps us flying high. But I guess sometimes it’s important to be grounded too.”

[attr="class","lyco2"]When Finnegan offered to pay for the cake, even going as far as to search for his wallet. Ayana couldn’t help but smile and shake her head. “No, no. It’s a gift. On the house. Don’t worry about it. I'm serious!” [break][break]

As he insisted, something zoomed past the open window snatching up the bag from his arms. [break][break]

At once; Ayana’s detective mind began to whir. They were moving at speed which meant it was some sort of motorcycle. The use of Pokemon in the theft meant that whomever had done it was well trained at directing their Pokemon at speed. [break][break]

Not that she could do anything too drastic as to not reveal herself and her true abilities. But, she could at least help. [break][break]

“Hey. Don’t worry, we can get it back! Let’s go, come on.” [break][break]

She pulled him up by the hand and away from the table. In a second, Ayana had pulled off her apron thrown it over the counter and launched out the door. Popping her head back in to say, “Nasu, you’re in charge til I get back, okay? Thanking you, thanking you, heh.” [break][break]

The large purple ghost nodded solemnly and turned back to the counter to continue serving the customers. [break][break]

“You ready? We ARE going to get it back.” She said, putting great emphasis on the are. “That is a Ayana guarantee!” [break][break]

Drawing all the residents of Mauville and those beyond the walls out for a day of fun and excitement, since there was definitely ample opportunities for shopping here. [break][break]

Due to her background and also, because she ran the cafe every day. Ayana could easily pick out a new face in the crowd. A man with spiked, slicked back green hair approached the counter and ordered a special latte. Moving away to a window on one side of the café as if to look out the window.[break][break]

As there was a break in the crowd, Ayana smiled to herself as she decided what she was going to do. With a slight bustle of knives and plates; she wandered over to to the table, leaned against it, and said in a friendly tone.[break][break]

“Hey, there. Nice too meet you. I’m Ayana. I brought you a slice of cake, on the house. Of course! Enjoy. Need anythin’! Just met me know, okay?”[break][break]
