Shortly after the Combee buzzed out to have a look at Finn's lunch, a tall shadow lurked at the fringe of the forest. It shuffled out, gave Finn a knowing glare, and then vanished into the woods again. Finn wondered what a desert Pokemon was doing in a place like this.

With a light airy buzz, a Combee whirled out of the woods and smiled down at Finn and his fruit with its three faces. Finn waved back and tossed it an orange wedge. Insects often came out of the woods to join them at the outskirts of the trees. He wondered if he might see anything else...

It was interesting that the man found fishing relaxing. To an active creature like Finn, it would have been only up to a point. Finn found solitude in motion.

"Heh. I wasn't just going to swim. I was gonna swim to the other side so I can climb."

And speaking of climbing, a Rhyperior ambled out, a veritable rock wall in and of itself. Aiming for its horn, Finn hoped that yet another capture attempt - the latest one in a whole chain of captures - would also succeed.

NOTES/COMMENTS: Finnegan is not really involved in faction conflict, so I would love if he could be placed into a situation with a strong context that makes it such that he's forced to fight![break]

Finnegan's eyes reflected Ryuji's tempered, muted sorrow. Ryuji looked like he was trying to keep the bottle of his heart tightly stoppered, but that pressure seemed to threaten to burst out all the same. Of course it did. Family was all Finn had ever known. Life severed from them would be like a tree without roots, a body without a heart.

Would this be too much for a first encounter? Finn got the sense that Ryuji wouldn't mind.

Taking a slow step forward, Finn placed a hand on Ryuji's shoulder. It was apprehensive, knowing it was a step too far into intimacy they did not share, but Finn felt it the kind thing to do.

"If you want, you can always swing by Flying Sword. We have things to do, jobs. It's a simple life, but if that's what you want..."

A Skarmory's chrome feathers flashed out of the darker parts of the wood, and Finn arced his arm forward to capture the creature in a ball. There were many Skarmory on the village grounds; this lone one would be happy there.
