A voice plays in monotone in the back of her mind, barely audible, thus her mind searches for something tangible as it continues to decipher the words.

For a moment, Dmitri stares back at her, and she tenses almost instinctively.

The disappointment in pale-blue eyes prompts her into anger, for fear at her tormentor’s presence was unacceptable. Yanking her hands away from Jayden’s, Calliope moves back several paces and glares at him.

What he sees more akin to a defiant pup growling back after it’s been chastised.

”Or what? You’ll make me?” Calliope snaps back, the cautiousness in her posture lingering a moment longer before she realizes it’s not Dmitri.

Not that jayden cross was any better in her opinion. He was his father's son, in her eyes guilty by design, and therefore equally deserving of her hatred. No matter what she did, she just couldn't escape that family, the chain that tethered her to Rocket in the vilest of ways.

Her gaze hardens in unspoken response when her body relaxes. The only difference between them is that he doesn't instill a primal fear in her the way his father does.

As the woman bends down to coddle it some more, Alecto flops its butt down and starts wagging its tail like there's no tomorrow, giving the woman a slobbering lick while it awaits more of her affection. Its focus remains solely on Sansa, even when she cries out about her Glimmora taking down a rather upset Beldum.

The cry on its turn seems to startle a nearby Girafarig, but she can just see from the look of her proud wolf that any command will fall on deaf ears. So she just chucks the pokéball straight into the Girafarig's face, hoping that if it does end up failing the capture attempt, it would at least be hard enough to stop the psychic giraf in its tracks.

Calliope sees the smaller Rocket struggling to scale the slope, and after a few taps on her wrist finally bends down to help dem up. Simultaneously a small message pops up. "Don't worry, I won't leave you behind!"

As Calliope drags dem unto the platform she gives them a small smile. "We're in this together."

When she reads the message, the silverhaired one frowns. "How will that...? Actually, explain that to me later. I'll distract the examiner, but I don't know how long I'll keep his attention." she texts back, pulling one of her pokéballs out. A Mightyena appears beside her and awaits instructions.

Calliope kneels down next to it and whispers something inaudible, though Fenelle might be able to read her lips.

"Don't let them see you."

The next moment the Mightyena makes a run across the obstacles, flithering until it seems to disappear from view almost instantly even though there's perfect visibility for them. For the examiner however, a makeshift roof is in the way.

"On the count of three!"

From the side a slithering shadow makes it way down the obstacles and underneath the Voltorbs in the blink of an eye.

"Two."

Calliope follows it as it moves further and further away, off into the corner of the room, into the opposite direction.

Alecto surfaces only partially from the shadows, its face hidden among the many Electrodes and Voltorbs as it nips at one of them, hard enough to make it agitated. The next moment it disappears again, slithering back while the Voltorb starts beeping loudly, moments away from detonating.

"NOW!"

The Voltorb explodes, setting off several others. The examiner startles and turns around entirely to see what's going on, not expecting anything to happen away from the ones he's meant to examine. While distracted, Alecto surfaces again underneath the roof, barking soundlessly. It'll only take seconds before the examiner focuses back on them.

Calliope keeps an eye on the man above; worst case scenario she'll have to do something really crazy to keep his eyes off of Fenelle.

It seems an odd thing to say, almost ludicrous, but with the things she's seen happening in Hoenn, it is yet another impossible thing that could have very well been made possible. And from what she can tell, the admin has no reason to lie to her.

The training rooms are empty at this time of day, or maybe that's just because Cillian Quinn was here. But she does not complain that there are no prying eyes to watch her when she too takes out her pokéball, stalling only momentarily to watch as the drooling Shadow Lycanroc actually behaves around the admin. It's a strange thing for her to see a shadow so... so quiet. A stark contrast to her Damo.

"An outlet? How?"

The pokéball in her hand drops to the floor, bouncing back while her Serperior is released in a beam of red. It coils violently, fangs bared and venom dripping from its edges. Fierce red eyes and a black skin; the only traces that remain from its former self are the golden on its body, ears and cuff. Seeing Cillian Quinn and his Lycanroc enrages the shadow viper further. Its body tenses, but when the Rocket Grunt notices it is too late.

Calliope didn't quite know why the steed had taken to her, but she could appreciate its strength. It's regal, indominatable stance. It had even faced Damo before, entirely unbothered by the Shadow viper's bared teeth. Trygve had merely snorted before facing it.

She wanted to see to which extend she could use it, so to start out and get a feel for its personality she'd brought it here. The boonies of Hoenn would prove vital to her intent, and it would -most-likely- keep herself from being interupted.

For a moment there is jealousy in knowing that the beast's cravings have been sated. That it has found and become one with its obsession; something she can only yearn for to happen. It doesn't quite strike a nerve to the less morally-inclinded, but what she does know is that the urgency to take back what it has found grows.

Like the waters that have now lifted her from her solid ground and into the nothingness. The dark body of her Shadow Serperior coils around her as it too glares at the reborn Monarch of the Endless Seas.

As many turn to face the Kyogre, she does too; amidst the darkness she comes alive. Searching for the same strength Cillian Quinn had granted her and her Serperior during the Prelude. The glowing dragon in the darkened sky a beacon to the true target. It makes her pause only momentarily to gaze upon its brilliance within the chaos.

A chaos that can be struck down if they do the same to the Kyogre.

Reaching for her Shadow Serperior, their chaotic bond intertwines. In a short time they've found one another; in destruction, in rage, in killing intent, in all things that shouldn't have been reasons to bond. Out in the open, in the face of potential death as gods and titans clash, they will remain.

And the Serperior does. Shadows spawn below the waters as its eyes flash red once more, unleashing another Shadow Rave upon the skybound whale; these are thicker, less plentiful than their last Shadow Rave, but stronger.

In that silence something reverberates. A call to arms, as jayden cross and his Chien Pao rage. The sweet sensation of pure, untethered rage and hatred washes over her, but the poison denies it to take hold; her mind is too far gone.

Dark veins run across her face, tainting her eyes and cheeks, dipping down her neck towards the rest of her body as the small machine now pumps the toxins without restraint. Yet there is no haze when the Rocket finally turns and beckons her Serperior higher.

Her index points into the waterbound crater below, her judgment falling upon the Leviathan rampaging below.

Damo taps into all her strength, shadows coiling against the stark white of the crater’s flank as another SHADOW RAVE comes to life. A barrage of shadow spikes erupts from the pale rock and starts raining down upon the Kyogre, knowing fully well that the beast’s obsession shall not waver.

Black tendrils dissipate as a shield of spacial matter eats away at her Shadow Serperior's attack, leaving the Rocket scowling as she twists to look for the interloper. When she sees it, Tempest Quinn 's voice crackles to life inside her ear, granting her a name and a reason to face them.

While Cillian Quinn seems occupied with his own League vermin gnawing at his ankles, she remains where she is, albeit seeking higher ground atop the cliff face now water has started rising in a most eerie manner. The Kyogre crashes further into the crater wall, almost... digging itself in?

Atop the whale, the Kabutops takes another dig at attacking the leviathan, but the Palkia seems keen on halting its advances. Space itself seems to tremble around the Kyogre, leaving Mercury wondering. What could have been a cocky smirk turns into something wicked and hellbound as she directs her Shadow Serperior towards the Palkia instead. "Don't you even fucking dare!"

When the Palkia's Spacial Rend starts tearing through reality, the Shadow viper joins its ally, a Leaf Storm unleashed to clash with the Spacial Rend and keep it from reaching the Kabutops.

"Consider it done. I'll face that sorry excuse of a space deity... and its mortal shell." she replies to Tempest Quinn over the Rocket comms, eyeing illeana reyes as she seems to move away.

Next to her on the little strip of beach lay her Kabuto and Serperior, the Kabuto tucked closely against her and vibrating violently. Damo, her Serperior looms overhead, tail coiled over most of her body and hissing at something in the distance.

A distance not so far, as the bellowing of the Kyogre finally overtake the incessant ringing in her ears. Shaking her head she looks up, only to see how close the leviathan truly is, and why exactly her Serperior remains so protective.

Scrambling unto her feet lays her eyes upon the destruction wrought upon the crater, and the rising seawater level behind her. She has to get out of here, quickly.

The little Kabuto is picked up and recalled before Calliope and Damo start moving. When the device on her neck hums to life again, the burning sensation sends flashes of what transpired upon the ship into her thought-process. Calliope’s expression turns sour the moment paxton concordas comes to mind, but with the leviathan trashing near her she has no time to loathe him further.

Noticing Cillian Quinn ’s Lugia facing the Kyogre, and a Shadow Kabutops rushing through the waters to aid it, along with Navy 's Zacian, Calliope resolves to do the same to aid her superior. ”Damo, Shadow Rave!” From the side, the Shadow Serperior lets its aura flare, dozens of shadow spikes trying to force the leviathan against one side of the crater.

She has yet to realize Tempest Quinn is near her when she too starts clambering through the hole to enter the city.
