ROUTE 116 in the summertime is quite a pleasant scene to visit. As the sun dips below the horizon, however, the bright blue skies transform into a canvas of shimmering stars and constellations. A young woman with flowing red hair hikes the forested terrain in search of the perfect spot to stargaze. A GLIMMORA swims along in the air behind her, propelling itself with graceful tendrils.

When its trainer stops to sip some water from her canteen, however, a noise in the bushes nearby alerts them both. PSYCHIC Pokémon who call this place home love to come out at night and stargaze as well, after all. And a multitude of nocturnal NORMAL type Pokémon come out as well.

But might this noise simply just be... another person?

The bushes hold more than man traversing its thicket; wolves, for example. A Mightyena stalks forth from the shrubbery, fangs bared and eyes sharp upon the trainer carelessly sipping from the container. They flicker from man to 'mon before a snarl rumbles from its chest; an ample warning not to move.

What follows behind the Mightyena is a whole lot less intimidating in its gestures. A head of silver peaks beyond, clicks her tongue at the wolf and lightly swats her hand at its muzzle, prompting it to quiet down almost instantly. "Stop that at once, Alecto," The woman reprimands her partner as if it's mere innocent shenanigans, then settles her gaze upon the woman and her Glimmora before her.

"Apologies for his drama-king antiques, he sometimes forgets we're not the only ones traversing the woods." There's an apologetic (?) nod at the twosome, the Mightyena placing itself at her heel but refusing to sit until a painted nail softly scratches its head.

Oh! It's a puppy. Well, not exactly a puppy, but Sansa can't honestly tell the difference. "Ooo! Who's a handsome boy?" She squeals, placing her hands on her knees as she tries to gain its affection with a loving look.[break][break]

While the Glimmora floating behind her keeps a vigilant eye on the wolf, however, it soon shudders. It felt another pair of eyes LEERING at them, and soon turned to SMACK DOWN the source of this leer with a rock. It is a NATU that ultimately falls out from the tree, falling unconscious after hitting a few branches on the way there.[break][break]

"It's no problem at all really!" Sansa assures the other woman, pulling out a Moon Ball to casually capture the fallen bird as she continues their interaction. "I love canines."[break][break]

"I'm sure you do, but I'm not quite sure how he goes about loving others." Calliope notes sheepishly, watching carefully as her lupine companion glares at the woman, hairs on edge. He keeps his snarls to himself though, which in the silver-haired books is a step in the right direction.

The Mightyena cautiously moves around the woman, then turns without warning and leaps at something trying to escape, startled by the Glimmora's attack. A Noctowl is caught trying to take flight, Ice Fangs burying themselves deep inside the owl's wings. Unable to fly and left to the wolf's wiles, it is dragged back within proximity of its trainer.

Prey dumped it turns back to the other woman and stares again, this time more neutral in body language, before slowly approaching Sansa Arouet again.

"Well, this is new." Calliope frowns, keeping an eye on her partner while patting herself down for a pokéball to catch the Noctowl.

After recovering her latest capture, Sansa stops to admire the MIGHTYENA again with a smile. Then, with her cutest baby voice, she bends down to grasp her knees and coddle it some more. "Well, schum doggies just take a bit wonger to warm up to peowple, don't they?"[break][break]

Meanwhile, a BELDUM unearths itself from the ground to peer at the trainers. Angered for being awoken, it seems to try and prepare to TAKE DOWN the Rocket scientist. Thankfully, her Glimmora is there to SMACK DOWN the automaton.[break][break]

"Oh!" Sansa cries in surprise, regarding the unconscious Beldum with a sad look. "Another angry little fella, huh?" She then draws a ball and casts it down.[break][break]

"I'll... I'll be damned-" Calliope looks perplexed as her Mightyena, bane of many a stranger that dared hold it for a cuddly pooch, becomes just that. A cuddly pooch.

As the woman bends down to coddle it some more, Alecto flops its butt down and starts wagging its tail like there's no tomorrow, giving the woman a slobbering lick while it awaits more of her affection. Its focus remains solely on Sansa, even when she cries out about her Glimmora taking down a rather upset Beldum.

The cry on its turn seems to startle a nearby Girafarig, but she can just see from the look of her proud wolf that any command will fall on deaf ears. So she just chucks the pokéball straight into the Girafarig's face, hoping that if it does end up failing the capture attempt, it would at least be hard enough to stop the psychic giraf in its tracks.
