After recovering her latest capture, Sansa stops to admire the MIGHTYENA again with a smile. Then, with her cutest baby voice, she bends down to grasp her knees and coddle it some more. "Well, schum doggies just take a bit wonger to warm up to peowple, don't they?"[break][break]

Meanwhile, a BELDUM unearths itself from the ground to peer at the trainers. Angered for being awoken, it seems to try and prepare to TAKE DOWN the Rocket scientist. Thankfully, her Glimmora is there to SMACK DOWN the automaton.[break][break]

"Oh!" Sansa cries in surprise, regarding the unconscious Beldum with a sad look. "Another angry little fella, huh?" She then draws a ball and casts it down.[break][break]

Oh! It's a puppy. Well, not exactly a puppy, but Sansa can't honestly tell the difference. "Ooo! Who's a handsome boy?" She squeals, placing her hands on her knees as she tries to gain its affection with a loving look.[break][break]

While the Glimmora floating behind her keeps a vigilant eye on the wolf, however, it soon shudders. It felt another pair of eyes LEERING at them, and soon turned to SMACK DOWN the source of this leer with a rock. It is a NATU that ultimately falls out from the tree, falling unconscious after hitting a few branches on the way there.[break][break]

"It's no problem at all really!" Sansa assures the other woman, pulling out a Moon Ball to casually capture the fallen bird as she continues their interaction. "I love canines."[break][break]

The LUXRAY standing guard over the little girl certainly didn't seem to like her much. Quiet as she was, Sansa couldn't tell if the little girl was angry at her. Though she supposes the balloon she'd given to the PICHU might have helped.[break][break]

As Caribert glides around them, attempting to initiate play with the baby by tapping the Wailord balloon back and forth, the redhead takes another look around before addressing the girl again. "Are you here alone? Where are your parents?" She asks with a slightly worried frown.[break][break]

Sansa makes a face at his flat and one-worded response. And, frankly, she doesn't care if he sees it. She may not be the nicest person herself, but at least she could hold up a conversation and pretend to be. In her world, that was a boon.

Nevertheless, she wasn't one to beg for conversation either. So, instead, she simply huffs and keeps advancing to the top of the hill. It isn't until they reach the aforementioned top that they realize a giant SANDSTORM is headed in their direction. The red-head audibly groans. "I mean I figured this would happen, but not this early... and yeah, you think?"

Taking a moment to scan the horizon for herself, the astronomer points out a rocky ridge embedded in the sand when she sees it. "That looks like our best bet right there. Especially if it's hiding a cave system where we can cool down." She adds, dropping down to one knee as she empties her bag of a telescope, tripod, and other stargazing equipment. "I won't move fast enough if I'm carrying all this, I guess..."

Some time has passed since they started their trek to the rocky ridge. The sandstorm continues to creep up behind them. Their water has run out and a ruthless THIRST has settled in as a result of the sweltering heat as well. Even if Sansa wanted to talk, she couldn't anymore. At least nothing past an unintelligible croak from her dry throat.

Wearing her backpack on her head to shield her face from the sun and sand, she holds out a hand to the rocky ridge in the distance. We're almost there, the gesture says. Just a bit farther.

Her decision to partake in this latest expedition into the ULTRA DESERT had purely been for scientific reasons. Sansa figured, as any person in her field would, that a desert, alien or otherwise, would grant a clear and untainted view of the cosmos above. And, to a certain degree, she had been correct. But two particular factors soured this experience for her right from the start.

The first was the fact that the night sky was currently being clouded by the raging dust storms that swept across this harrowing vista. The second was that the expedition group she had been assigned to only consisted of one person.

lykaios athanasia was not someone she had come across in the TEAM ROCKET submarine before. She wasn't entirely sure what his credentials were. But she was almost certain he did not possess the skills to make up for a team of four.

Wearing khaki pants and a light linen shirt, the redhead ties her hair up into a bun as they scale a desert hill to get a better view of things. The hiking pack strapped to her back is full of equipment that makes the exercise that much more brutal. Regardless, Sansa merely wipes the sweat off her brow with the back of her hand and continues on. She's almost insulted when she sees a RELLOR effortlessly pushing an orb of waste up that same hill twice as fast as she, however.

"I suppose this dimension shares a few of the same Pokemon as ours," She notes, stopping to turn over her shoulder and look at her traveling companion. "How much did they tell you about this place before sending you here anyway?"

Despite her offer being turned down, which did hurt a little bit, Sansa is determined to make things right. So she rushes to a nearby balloon vendor and insists that the little girl stay where she is. She buys a WAILORD balloon and then returns to offer it to her.

"Ok. How about this? You don't have to eat it." She smiles, bending down to try and reach eye-level with her as she offers the balloon forward. Hopefully, this would make things even. If not, well... then she didn't know what else to do.

That's when she begins to realize, however, that the little girl seems to be in this carnival alone.

"Oh my!" Sansa exclaims, rushing to help the little girl up. "I'm so sorry about that! Are you alright?" How did this happen? Well, as usual, she felt she had Caribert to blame. Nevertheless, that didn't matter right now. Right now she had to make things right.

Caribert, too, rushes to see if he can help in any way. Sansa gives him a scowl that makes him back off though. When it is clear that the little girl is okay, though, the redhead pulls out an extra caramel apple from her pack and offers it. "Will this cheer you up? I'm so sorry. We weren't looking where we were going." Then she proceeds to offer her help to stand on both feet.

Sansa quite enjoyed caramel apples. In fact, the speed with which she was consuming this CARNIVAL TREAT drew the attention of passersby. Even CARIBERT the ALOLAN RAICHU was astonished.

Once she was done with it, however, she tossed the stick that was left behind into the trash and hummed with satisfaction. "Mmmm! That was so good! What should we do now, though, Caribert?" Caribert, however, was busy accidentally bumping into somebody.

Sansa had been to Kanto as well, but she didn't remember liking the experience. Nevertheless, she smiles and praises it as a beautiful region. By then, Caribert had already chosen his prize: a darling KANTONIAN RAICHU plushie of his own. "I do love traveling. And I certainly miss Alola for its splendid stargazing sites."

When asked whether she would prefer a game or ride next, however, Sansa takes a moment to think. Hearing the screams of a PLUNGE nearby excited her for some reason. "How about a ride?" She suggests as her Alolan Raichu regroups with them. When it sees Paxton's little trinket, however, a gleam of pity streaks across its expression.

Just then, however, she receives a call. Taking it, Sansa is dismayed to hear that her time at the carnival needs to come to a close. "I'm so sorry, Paxton, I need to go. It was nice meeting you, though. Bye!"

"Yeah, it's pretty nice! A lot more tropical here, though. And humid." She frowns, pulling at her collar as if to accentuate her point. When it is revealed that she has won the game, however, the redhead brightens again and does a little clap. "Oh, yay! Go ahead and pick something, Caribert."

The Alolan Raichu is quick to notice the glances it receives from Paxton in the meantime. As if to show off, he does a flashy display of backflips and sweeps on the surfboard he calls his tail. Then he glides ahead to examine the plushie prizes being offered. "I've been to ALOLA before, but no. I actually received Caribert as a gift from a dear mentor of mine." Sansa admits.

"How about you? Are you from HOENN?"
