"-Yeah, It's not pleasant to look at either!" She couldn't help but comment, her eyes widening as it looked like it was trying to piece together it's next move. "Just pretend that it isn't real, just a figment of your imagination summon by this place to fuck with us-?!"[break][break]

She watched as the pokemon begun to open it's mouth, charging up some sort of attack towards the trio running away from it. Oh god, it gave her flasbacks of that cretin in the alleways that chased them.. what was that boy's name again... Ito Arxien?[break][break]

-Ohhh, that didn't matter right now! "H-hey, it's doing something! It looks like it's going to shoot at us!"

...It was kind of noble how he was easily able to discount his own comfort for the sake of herself; A person that, while wasn't the evilest person on this planet, wasn't exactly being truthful to him either. It was the kind of niceness that made her wonder if he was adamant on being generous, or there was sort of honor code established in his fucking brain.[break][break]

People in this place were so weird. Boys being scared of alleyways, guys being adament on being stabbed- just her luck. "If you insist," she said, before wrapping her arms around his waist-[break][break]

Such was conveniently timed, as Skarmory took off at lightening speeds, and the roar of a warped Gyarados would deafen Akira. Her grasp for dear life would seem to get even stronger- though it wasn't very harmful coming from a dainty thing like her. Turning her head, Akira would witness what Michael could not. "-I think it's working, it looks like its bleeding!"

When she finally found the nerve to look at the underboss, it was almost impossible to miss the disgust on his face. Was he thinking of how to end her? To strangle her? To kick her out of Rocket? Such things were horrible to even consider, but she couldn't put it past any of these monsters.[break][break]

...She did seem to do a good job of making him not like her- not like that was the initial intent or a concern to hers. Wanting promotions or respect- or hell, even being acknowledge fully was more then suitable for her. The less that notice her, the better.[break][break]

When he did eventually speak, she didn't allow the relief to show on her face or physique. Her gaze, however, did flutter closed for a moment before opening her notepad and handing it to Gavin. "Other then our own, it was mostly league trainers. There were a few clashes in front of the cave. But mostly it was a whole lot people going in- but not a lot coming out."[break][break]

If Gavin looked at the notepads, despite the state he'd found her in, the neat handwriting on the pages would indicate time stamps, numbers of people, and what they were doing in three columns. And, if he turned a few pages back, he'd find a series of printed out pictures of high profile trainers in the League. For the most part the page was relatively clean, besides a very large circling of a picture of PENELOPE LIVY .[break][break]

"Livy went in at about... 3pm if I recall correctly. She was alone." Akira would then glimpse at her phone to double check the time. "Its only been two hours since then, so she still might be down there."

Peaked around at some crates? What- what crates? Akira wasn't very high on the intelligence ladder as a Grunt. But if there was something important like supplies around, she felt like the grunts would have been ordered to guard it...[break][break]

Perhaps that was apart of an assignment she hadn't been given yet. She was, after all, trying to get out of this fucking cave. "-Is that so? Uhuh- Well, I suppose I'll have to deal with that then."[break][break]

Meanwhile, Umbreon would let out a squeak as the already stunned pokemon would get ran over by onslaught. It was clear that Umbreon was on their last leg at the beginning of the fight. And, when struck, would be thrown back into the cavern wall. Yet when it should have been knocked out, struggled to stand. She'd then take a hefty huff and- with a bark- would begin to glow as it activated Moonlight. When the turn finished, it seemed they were somewhat better- but it was clear the move didn't do much for them.[break][break]

Meanwhile, as the knife was tossed towards her- she allowed it to hit the ground in front of her. What? Did he just- want her to stab him? Sure she was fighting a losing battle but...[break][break]

...An idea came to her. Quietly she would kneel down to grab the knife. She would then begin to walk towards him, uttering a commanding tone: "-Give me your phone."

"How is that a Gyarados? Or, It's not like anything I've ever seen!" Akira said in a frantic voice. "-Surely thats not something made by this place right? I've heard stories of this place warping to take on the look of your nightmares. Or- I've seen it myself. But- ?!"[break][break]

What appears to be an nose dive towards an island makes Akira's heart stop. Holy shit, this guy wasn't just crazy, he was suicidal. Despite the little trust in her already horrified heart, Akira would stumble to some extent as Skarmory landed and begun to rip the island to shreds.[break][break]

-Just because she was terrified, however, didn't mean she was stupid. She had a semblance of an idea of what Michael was planning- and she didn't like it one bit. "Your stomach?! Are you sure? Thats not weird for you is it?!"

...She wasn't sure what was supposed to worry her more: the fact that this guy didn't know what the fucking thing was, or the fact that he was literally smiling. He seemed nice and all but- that was terrifying. Guess League was full of crazy people afterall.[break][break]

She hoped this information about the underboss locations as worth traveling over. Because if she was going to die trying, she was NEVER going to volunteer herself again.[break][break]

"What- what you you mean- uuUUUUAAAHHHHH!!" She was unable to hold back the fear as Michael caused their ride to start moving erratically. And, as a result of it, Akira would turn her hold into a literal hug of the man's upper arm. A hold that was for dear life!

"O-oh- I-" He wasn't calm? Man, he did quite a good job of hiding it. She had no idea of the struggles he'd endured- and quite frankly, she felt bad just thinking about it. It was a shame that Rocket Members weren't so open about these sorts of things.[break][break]

"Wha- What the fuck is that?!" She asked in surprise. Oh god, it was just like that flying dragon thing that chased her and that league member through that alleway hellscape...

God, he was so nice... was he not concerned she was lying (she definitely was)? People were so weird in Hoenn... but the Skarmony- Ironsides- had some semblance of caution at least. The eyepatched woman didn't dismiss the bird's sideyes and reserved nature. And quite frankly, so long as she was careful with what she said, she was more then happy to exploit this ticket out of here.[break][break]

She refused to be a damsel, but.. she definitely was in distress. And this guy's concern clearly didn't allow her to disagree with that. "Its nice to meet you both- uhm-" It was weird to act... normal. Being surrounded by Team Rocket, she was getting used to acting so tough- to act like another bad guy in a sea of monsters. While she definitely needed to be careful, she was going to take advantage of the break.[break][break]

"-My name is Amy. I'd introduce you to Umbreon but- she's down for the count. I got jumped by some trainers and fell into a hole down here..." Finally upon Skarmony, she would rub a hand on the back of her neck. "-Uhm, thank you. I really appreciate this. How can you be so calm being down here..."

Just one wrong step and she fell into a fucking hole. A hole of literal hell. Mind bending fuckery, weird pokemon trying to eat her... One thing after another, shit just kept happening. And with Umbreon down, she was all by herself...[break][break]

To say that she was done with all of this shit was the understatement of the century. No phone service either... she couldn't even call anyone to help her. She was going to get in trouble for not getting the field information out by the day's end...[break][break]

Alas, the sound of a voice would cause her to jump, a literal savior riding in on... what the fuck was that? "I-" You know what, that didn't matter. League? Rocket? Usually she cared, but if it meant getting the fuck out of this place she was here for it.[break][break]

"N-No, I'm not okay. All my pokemon are hurt and I dont have a way out of this place," she sounded mortified, a pitiful sight regardless of what faction she was apart of. "I'd appreciate it if you could take me to find help!"

She didn't know of the mental struggles Kouji was going through, or his inabilities to understand. And unfortunately, he chose the worst person to try and "break through" to. Despite how has she was, she wasn't a liar. And- in some ways- failing to mission could help her out.[break][break]

As long as she didn't climb, as long as she didn't gain renown. Hell, as long as she could keep her head down... she could live her life in peace. Or, live in peace until she found the answers she seeked. Then she would be gone and return homw.[break][break]

But for now, she was content with getting yelled at and going home to start the next day. A sign of relief would escape her as the sun greeted her skin. Akira would look at the fading sky, glad to see the sky alive. In response, Umbreon would let out a small ruff of excitement. It seemed they were glad they were out to. "I think the meeting point is a the bottom of the hill. But before that-"[break][break]

She didn't respond at first, as she waiting for Kouji to leave the cave. She would then look over her shoulder and give him a distant look. "...If you truly want to try and climb the ranks..." She paused, trying to think of how to word her warning. "...Its probably best you're not involved with me."[break][break]

And just like that, she was gone: walking down the hill from the cavern mouth silently, and leaving Kouji alone to digest her final goodbye.

If her hand wasn't hurting so bad right now, she would have hit him again. Over, and over, and over again. He deserved every god damn bit of it. All he cared about was violence, drawing blood even when it could be avoided. Oh, how utterly spiteful she was of him...[break][break]

But like she'd said before, she had brains and wit- not brawn. At the end of the day, they had different ideals and outlooks on handling situations. Ways of working that happened to clash like water and oil.[break][break]

A tsk would escape her as she bent down to pick up Umbreon, before taking charge and beginning to walk. She wasn't sure where the exit was, but... the wind's movement acted like a guide of sorts. Not to mention that the sensation felt nice. A lot more calming then Kouji's bitching.[break][break]

-Damnit, she couldn't hold it in. "Throwing a temper tantrum isn't a good look. We can disagree all we want. But at the end of the day, we're not going to change each others' minds. Neither will we change whats already happened."[break][break]

Climbing the hill and seeing light on the top, she quietly turned to look down at Kouji. "Besides: I don't spend my time overthinking things I can't change."[break][break]

She remained silent for a moment, before turning to walk towards the light... It seemed like an exit to the Cavern. "Come on, theres an exit this way."

She.. couldn't just trust him over some fluffy words. "We're in a dark cave crawling with both League and Rocket members, and I've got orders to follow. Sorry if that hurts your feelings." she huffed. "And if what you're saying is true, well- I have no interest in rising in the ranks. That's a problem for tomorrow's me to deal with."[break][break]

Meanwhile, as Zweilous's stun would land on Umbreon. While it would damage the pokemon, Syncronize would active- rendering the other pokemon stunned as well.
