[attr="class","hopokdesc1"] admittedly Sven's first pokemon, this Ditto was transformed as an Aegislash when he came across it. although he didn't have something to fight it, Sven just hoped for the best and flung a poke ball that his sister had given to him. imagine his surprise when he caught the creature and it oozed out of the pokemon post-capture as this big pink blob. nonetheless, he absolutely adores his Ditto and has made a lifelong partner from it.

The safari zone in itself remained impressive in its size and rotations. Sven dropped his jaw as he saw some of the wild Rookidee flying around, some of the Nincada scattering around the trees further out. For now, he threw out his Fuecoco as his trusted battling partner. He flashed a grin at the fire croc and gave a thumbs up.

"Let's find you some new playmates, Chomper!"

The Fuecoco gave a happy little growl and spit some fire out with it.

As though shocked it had been perceived, his Oshawott scuttled behind his leg. Sven laughed as he reached down and stroked the top of the water-type's head and assured the little otter-like pokemon that things would be alright. The kid didn't pose a threat and Oshawott had no need to be scared. For a moment, the creature hesitated before it stepped out and gave an awkward yet proud pose.

"Nah, I did live in Unova a bit! Where I found this little dude. I was born in Orre but my family moved around. A lot actually. Guess you could call us a buncha hippies. I'm a child of the world, as they liked to say, gotta get out and see it."

Though when it came to Axel's explanation of his own family, he seemed a little puzzled. So his sister brought him along from Alola and decided she was too busy to clean her house? Sven could sort of understand being busy, but he'd never shove the whole job onto someone else. And with how pale Absalom looked, he figured that maybe the boy needed a moment to rest.

"Well how about you take a break and leave the cleaning to me, yeah? You're lookin' a little sick, everything alright?"

For a moment, he felt a little concerned as to whether or not he needed to get anything for the teen. Water maybe? Any sort of medicine? If the latter were the case, he hoped Axel could let him know where it was cause he didn't want to dig around someone else's personal items.

Josh's statement was met with a lopsided grin. Fair enough, he definitely did pride himself at the speeds he and his pokemon were able to achieve. He called himself the master of faster but Sven had some faith that one day, he'd be the fastest. As the man explained the layout to his gym, the blonde gave a nod as to signal he understood. Part of him wondered which challenges were more popular, but he had a feeling races took that spot by miles. It was a unique experience to begin with, so why not try it firsthand? If Sven ever had the chance, he might partake Josh on a gym challenge someday in the future. But he needed larger pokemon than his first-stage evolutions that were predominant in his team.

He had no objections to suiting up, as it seemed the pair would take to the skies. While the helmet was more than easy to attach, getting cocooned up was a bit more difficult, as it was really his first time riding. Thankfully it seemed the staff was happy to help him, likely used to first-time riders. Once Sven was geared up and secure, he reached up and flashed Josh a thumbs up. He was relieved to see they'd go upward, as he loved the idea of an aerial view of the entire stadium.

It seemed Alphamax was pretty tame, as though fine with the idea of strangers riding. For extra measure, Sven wrapped his arms around the dragon's shoulders and took to the skies. Unfortunately it seemed the lift off took him by surprise at the sheer velocity the dragon held. Was he terrified? Absolutely not. The look of pure gusto on his face showed he was excited to see just what Alphamax could do.

"Ready when you are, cap'n!" he beamed with a salute.

It took a moment for the blonde to register just exactly what she had said, but the moment he was able to process the flood of information, he pulled back and rubbed at his eyes. While it certainly didn't help the puffiness go down any, at least he was able to rid himself of the tears. After a few sniffles, Sven glanced down at the ground and saw his spilled drink and groaned aloud to himself. For now, he had more pressing matters to take care of as he motioned for Saskia to come in. In the meantime, Sven bolted for the kitchen to get some paper towels, some of which he ran under water from the sink so he could clean it up to the point the floor wouldn't be sticky. Thankfully it was a quick cleanup so he could soon turn back to his guest.

"Sorry, I was just...," he fumbled for the right words. "It's been so long since I've seen a familiar face. It's just been me here, I lost contact with everyone. But I don't wanna make this all about me, what of you? When did you get back?"

At the very least, he could help his guest by grabbing the plate of kartoshka she had so neatly wrapped. Sven placed it on the table and then attempted to clear off a space on the couch. Various vinyls and cords had made their home on the hardly used couch, as he didn't often get many visitors and dedicated himself to playing around with music -- it had become a comfort while he'd been sort of stuck in Hoenn. At least temporary gigs helped him keep himself afloat.

"By all means, make yourself at home! Like the Paldeans say, mi casa es su casa, bro."

His offer was cut off my the sound of his stomach. How long had he gone without eating? It was hard to say, as Sven didn't often keep track of things he thought to be trivial like that. Maybe it was a good thing that Saskia had shown up when she did.

"Well I guess we don't have to worry about putting the bagel bagels in the freezer. Let's make 'em and you can tell me how your venture on the outside was."

Anything to change how redundant the daily life of Hoenn had been inside the bubble.

It seemed quaint to finally visit the Mauville Gym. But given the gym leader's insistence that he stop by to check it out sometime, Sven felt he needed to, at the very least, give it a shot. As he stepped into the office, the blonde curiously looked around. It seemed kinda... Well, small for a gym. When the security personnel, Archie, directed him towards a set of doors, Sven gave an audible 'ohhhh.' At least now he knew where he was headed. Once he made his way out, he took in the expanse of land that was dedicated to the various forms of battle that the gym leader supervised. He couldn't help but let out a low whistle.

Though the moment that something (and in turn someone) raced past him, Sven stumbled back quickly as not to get run over. A dust cloud stung his eyes for a moment as he coughed and sputtered until the air cleared. Sven dusted himself off, but he didn't even seem upset -- he knew he should've been more aware. Once he caught sight of Josh upon his chosen mount, Sven felt himself grin widely.

"Yo, speed racer!" he joked. "You weren't wrong, this place is pretty impressive. Your staff did a great job getting everything sorted out. I like the various fields you've got going. Are they for battle or?"

It was a possibility, but it seemed Josh had a different idea in mind with the setup. The man offered a tour though, so he figured he'd hold fast on the questions for the end in case some of them were answered in Josh's explanation.

"Yeah it's kinda dusty up there. Guess it comes with the dirt. Plenty of webs up there, too. So if you can get us some rags and brooms, I don't mind getting it tidied up!"

With the suggestion to go let the wild Spinarak back into the outside, Sven excused himself and walked until he was closer to some trees. It took some prying, but he eventually got the arachnid pokemon out of his hair and placed it on one of the trees. He couldn't help but give it another pat to encourage it to go be with the rest of its kind.

"See ya, little buddy."

Speaking of little buddies, he needed to get back to Axel's house so he could help him with more cleanup. Something told him if he didn't make the parting quick, the kid might try to do most of it himself. So without so much as another thought, Sven jogged back to the house and made sure to shut the door behind him. From there, he hurried up the steps to the attic once more. He'd taken note of the bandana that Absalom had his pokemon retrieve and opted not to pay it any mind. It was a good idea cause dust often made people sneeze.

Since Axel brought his pokemon out to play, Sven figured he'd bring out one of his to help with the cleaning. His Oshawott, Marco, stood front and center and readied to help use water to clean up. And that much it did. With a gentle stream of a Water Gun, the Oshawott began to spray the window and managed to knock down some webs that had formed about. As Oshawott did smaller tasks, Sven took a broom and began at one corner of the room.

"Sorry if this is out of pocket, but where's your family at? Shouldn't they be helping with this sorta stuff?"

He figured it was a safe topic to work with and get Axel to talk a bit more.

Shit, he wasn't expecting guests. The blonde scrambled to his feet and nearly sent his laptop flying in the process. While he managed to catch it, it didn't save the way he stumbled over some of the various wires and clutter that came with his approach to music. Some wires came undone as he stumbled, something he'd fix later. As not to worry the person on the other side of the door, Sven finally called out to the presence on the other side.

"Yeah, I'm here! I'll be there in a moment!"

Despite how flustered he was given the entanglement and nearly tripping over his work, his tone remained as pleasant as ever. While he scrambled to throw away some of the empty chip bags he had lying around from the night before, he also searched through his pile of clothes for something that smelled at least semi-decent. He pulled out a white long-sleeved shirt and threw it on haphazardly, unaware he had it turned inside out at the moment. But he couldn't worry about that now. He didn't want to keep his guest waiting. At least his apartment looked semi-decent now. With that much in mind, he approached the door and opened it.

At the sight of the brunette before him, the half-drank energy drink he had in his hand fell on the linoleum and he felt himself lurch forward.

Arms tangled themselves around surprisingly broad shoulders as his own shook. How long had it been since he'd seen a familiar face? More importantly, how long had it been since he had any normal human interaction? Words couldn't find their way out as he struggled to even breathe. How hard had isolation affected him? Sure, Saskia wasn't his family, but she was still a friend. A friend he hadn't realized just how much he missed. Slender fingers dug into her back as his arms tightened, fearful that this was all just a dream. If the brunette paid any mind to him past the warm hug, there was no doubt she'd be able to feel the tears that had begun to drip on her shoulder as he sniffled and his body continued to shake.

What a relief.

WHAT IS AMIGO?



WITH SUMMER AT ITS PEAK, an indie company has developed its own sort of social app called AmiGo to encourage folks to get more social with one another. The purpose isn't solely for dating, as this can be used as a sort of friend finder, battle partner search, and for the more salacious folks, a hookup app.[break][break]

Whatever the use, each message falls encrypted to avoid any sort of security breach and swears to uphold the privacy of each of its users, a comfort to many after the controversies surrounding the dating simulator game, RONDEZ-VIEW OF LUV. There's truly no catch to this, just someone's push to get people out there and live a little for the summer. Messages and meetups are highly encouraged to those who give a positive response![break][break]

To those who wish to participate, this is meant to be an extremely lax event that encourages reaching out to other people and characters, sort of spicing things up!
