It would seem her older brother still wasn't getting it, not that she really expected him to. Luci was always more...full of himself than other's gave him credit for. Her smile, however acutely strained it might be, stayed plastered on her features nonetheless. Even when he blinked at her in full audacity, as if he couldn't believe she hadn't kept up tabs on him all this time.

[break][break] Ciprina, despite the growing irritation, reached to her side and grabbed her fold fan that was beside her. With a gentle flick of her wrist, the snap of the fan unfurling was crisp and sharp. She delicately waved it in front of her face in both an attempt to cool herself down while also adding in subtle theatrics to all of this.

[break][break] After all, at the end of the day, Ciprina was theater kid through and through.

[break][break] With the fan masking the potential breaks in her facial expressions, she continued to address that dear, aggravating, older brother of her's. "Of course I have a general idea Luci, don't be silly." She lightly chastised him as he made mention of an exhibit last month. "Hmm," she hummed lightly. "Yes, yes, it's unfortunate I had to miss it..." she said softly.

[break][break] But even Ciprina had her limits. With a sharp snap of her fan once more she pointed the now folded fan in his direction as her gaze sharpened on him. "But you and I both know that's not what I meant." With a slight twitch on her smile, she continued. "Now, before I reach over there and beat you for every second I've missed you dear brother, will you do me the grandest of favors and reach out to mother?"

[break][break] There it is. The cat was finally out of the bag. The true reason she was here, and the source of the unbearable migraine that she had ever since she'd touched foot in the region. "Surely you didn't think I came all this way just to see you." She quipped as she reclined back in her chair, snapping her fan back open and fanning herself once more.

The sudden voice of her brother startled her, especially since it was so soon after her complaints. Ciprina blinked as she watched Luciano waltz across the luxury vessel as if it were his own. Champagne in hand and bored expression adorned his features. He plops himself down beside her and reclines before motioning for them to be on their merry little way.[break][break]

His demeanor radiated a certain air about him. High in audacity, low in respect, it would seem.[break][break]

Ciprina's eyebrow twitched as her knuckles whitened as her hands clenched into fists. The poor centerfold crumpled beneath her furious grip. It took every once of willpower not to roll up the damned thing and whack her older brother a good one for the sheer lack of regret he was showing her right now.[break][break]

With practiced meditation she inhaled sharply. In through the nose and out the mouth. After a few repetitions her grip on the magazine had loosened and instead of clear irritation, her perfect award winning smile graced her lips instead. "Luci." her voice was light. Any notion of irritation had seemingly melted from her presence.[break][break]

"I'm so glad you could find it in your heart to spend time with your little sister today." The words sounded honeyed and kind but their structure...was slightly more...barbed than one would think. Especially with how sweet she sounded. "I'm sure you've been very busy." She said with a nod as she signaled for one of the attendants to approach.[break][break]

"Tell the Captain we're finally ready to depart. Thank you." with that the attendant was dismissed. "So." she said as she folded her hands in her lap and turned to give her brother her full attention. "How've you been? Regale me with all the splendid details of your adventure here in the region."[break][break]

Ciprina truly was a bonafied actress. Able to switch through several intense emotions with ease without leaving so much as an inkling that it was at all forced. She was a natural. Yet even then, those who knew her well knew this was just a precursor to the storm.

Ciprina sat under the cover of beautiful shade aboard the luxury yacht that she had managed to secure for a brief...staycation. It was beginning to grow unbearably hot but she also couldn't stay cooped up inside any longer. She was well aware of the tension within the region, war was on the horizon and everyone knew it.[break][break]

Still, there was only so long Ciprina could stay hidden away. Besides, it was about time she finally got her hands on her unruly older brother. She'd sort of gone radio silent for a while she readied herself for an upcoming role. But there was only so long her mother would wait. A soft sigh escaped her lips at the very thought of it.[break][break]

Don't ask how she managed to get in touch with Luciano. The point was she managed to reach him. She invited him out to enjoy the yacht and open water. Meanwhile Ezzelin, her sylveon, and Yuki, her alolan ninetails, were enjoying cooling themselves down by swimming in the pool. Occasionally glancing up from her magazine, a small smile could be seen on Ciprina's lips as she watched her pokémon play in the water and enjoy themselves. [break][break]

"Marnie." Ciprina called out as her assistant poked her head out from the corner nearby. "Yes, princess?" she answered. Ciprina gave her a pointed glare. "What did I say about calling me that?" she complained before sighing heavily. "Any updates from Luciano?" she continued on, clearly disgruntled.[break][break]

"None yet. I'll be sure to let you know once I hear something, princess." she said with a playful wink before going back to her work. "Tch." Ciprina sucked her teeth as she angrily flipped her magazine page. "Luci...when I get my hands on you..."

Ciprina listened to his emphatic and passionate response to her questions carefully. Her outward expression betrayed no hint as to what her inner thoughts may be. However, the truth was that his response was...expected of a young upstart. Unfortunately it failed to answer her biggest question. What would this deal bring to the table for the Fisk family?[break][break]

He was appealing to her moral compass here but as a businesswoman she still had her doubts. However, that's what investment was all about at the end of the day, she supposed. Like Callan said, her talents aside, her name would prove as a deterrent, a shield of sorts for this upcoming label.[break][break]

It would allow them to be respected among their peers and open doors for them that otherwise would be closed to them for simply being new. There was no guarantee that this would be successful but she also had to consider the success Callan had brought on his own. He seemed serious about all of this, and it took a lot of guts to ask for help the way he was doing in front of her.[break][break]

"I doubt my contract is worth much to you, but I will make you shine a star, and we'll never treat you as a disposable artist." Ciprina lightly tapped her nail against the desk before a faint smile graced her lips. "How could I reject such an earnest plea?" Ciprina's smile was easy as she glanced over the contract once more.[break][break]

"I hear you, Callan, I do. And I respect the passion you have for this project. I'd love to get on board with you for this but..." she said as she tapped a nail against the contract, "There's just a few things that would need to be covered before I can agree to give you...me and the use of my name, I hope you understand." she said with a smile.[break][break]

Leaning back she gently brought her hands together and rested them against the table as she maintained eye contact with him. "It's nothing outrageous, I assure you, but there's something I was hoping you could do for me." She said with a smile. "Mmm, no that's not quite right. Think less of a favor and more business, we are professionals after all."[break][break]

Her hand jingled with the chimes from the charms on her wrist as she held out a hand, expectant. One of her assistants handed her a tablet, to which she nodded and mouthed a silent thank you, before turning her attention back to Callan. "I oversee a small PMO called RESONATE." she began as she handed the tablet to Callan.[break][break]

On the device would be all the info about what RESONATE was and what they stood for. There, he would see that their mission statement was awfully similar to that of Teravolt's from what he had just described. "RESONATE serves as a group of creative consultants, from creative directors to talented editors and producers." She says with a distant smile. "The goal is to connect talented individuals, who might struggle getting their foot in the door, to trustworthy collaborators within the industry."[break][break]

With a slight tilt of her head, pristine snowy locks spilled over her shoulder in a wave. "My hope would be for you to give these individuals a chance. A partnership between Terevolt Records and RESONATE could help ensure creative liberties with the artist and engineers." a soft chuckle escaped her lips.[break][break]

"After all, it takes a village to ensure a successful rollout. I'm sure you know what I mean." After all, Callan had done the leg work himself as an artist. He would understand just how many people were involved when it came to creative projects on such a large scale. He'd also understand the importance of having talented individuals you could trust to assist you with said project.[break][break]

"The use of RESONATE members, of course, would be optional. I wouldn't want to force the talent into a partnership they weren't comfortable with. I would just hope that Terevolt would name drop them from time to time. After all, these individuals are extremely talented."[break][break]

Ciprina's facial expression shifted in that moment. She seemed distant and longing as if she was seeing something that wasn't there. "They deserve to be given a chance just as much as anybody."

Ciprina had briefly met Miss Blooms briefly around the record-label offices and they had interacted a bit over socials. Still, the invitation for a little carnival date between the two had come as a surprise, but not an unwanted one though. Ciprina loved the air around Desiree, it was refreshing. [break][break]

She had the sort of energy that could light up a room and it didn't seem forced. Cirpina's own was carefully fabricated and even then she felt as if she never truly could relax. But it was different hanging around Desiree. She often found herself unknowingly letting her guard down in the younger girl's presence.[break][break]

"Do you think this would look cute with the dress, Rina? ♡" Desi asked her as she held up a cute pink and silver bracelet. Ciprina tilted her head to the side before a soft smile formed on her lips. "I think you make anything look good, Desi." Ciprina said with a chuckle, "But you're right, it does seem to suit you and compliment the dress."[break][break]

She said as she made her way towards the table Desiree was pursuing to glance at a few rings and things herself. Her mother would probably chastise her for being in such a place even considering buying cheap trinkets like these but Rina didn't mind. Having been born in luxury, Rina found it could quickly grow dull. [break][break]

But something like this trinkets could hold more meaning than the purest diamond Rina could get her hands on. It was the experience and the memories that breathed life into items like these. "I might get this, it's so precious," Desiree exclaimed. "You should, it looks great on you." Ciprina added with a soft chuckle. [break][break]

Meanwhile she'd found a matching ring and bracelet combo. Both adorned in beautiful pastels they offered a nice stark contrast to her current ensemble. Where one might have found them tacky on their own it managed to fit the 'carnival' inspired look that Rina opted for today. [break][break]

"Mini photoshoot in the mirror haus~? ♡ We could take some cute pictures in there." Desiree offered while Rina followed her gaze. "Sure, that sounds like a lot of fun." She said with a grin, "Let me get these first though," she said as she grabbed her items and headed towards the cashier.

"Lovely." Ciprina responded with a smile when Melody agreed for tea. With a small gesture from Rina the servers quickly began to pour tea for the pair, while other's adorned the table with a wild array of pastries and treats for them to snack on while they had tea. Melody mentioned that Miss Miro was usually a term reserved for her mother and Ciprina nodded. [break][break]

She'd done some light reading on Melody prior to this meeting. Including looking up her latest interview with her newest body of work. She could gather that the relationship between mother and daughter was quite strained. Rina could sympathize, her own relationship with her controlling mother wasn't much better. [break][break]

"Alright, Melody it is. As long as you promise to call me Rina, that is." Ciprina said with a giggle. "And thank you," she responded to the compliment on her garden. Azure orbs canned around the terrace to look at her well maintained gardens. "I always loved taking walks in the garden back home when I was younger. It's nice that I can finally try my hand at my own." [break][break]

"I just wanna say I'm such a fan of your newest body of work." Rina said as she looked down and stirred sugar into her tea. Her cheeks slowly became flushed as she continued to do so. "Actually the reason I called you here was for a completely selfish reason." she said with a sheepish chuckle. [break][break]

Being an actress was her profession so it wouldn't be a leap to call this all a little act. But what she was saying was truthful, even if she wasn't truly as bashful as she was making herself seem in this moment. But it was a calculated measure. Anything to possibly win favor points with the woman in front of her.[break][break]

"See, I've wanted to get into music for such a long time but film and theater always kept me preoccupied." she admitted. "Now that my contract is reaching it's conclusion with my previous label I want to take this opportunity open new doors for myself. Explore what it means to curate my own unique sound."[break][break]

As Rina spoke she fidgeted in her seat lightly. Her cheeks were really red now. "But I can't do that alone, so I was wondering if...erm...perhaps you could mentor me?" she said as she rushed the last bit. "I-I know you're a busy woman and I'm just a stranger to you and all!" she quickly added, clearly embarrassed. "It's just that, I admire your work so much. I'm sure there's a lot I could learn from you."

Ciprina takes a seat on the couch once it's offered while pondering Mr. Stone's question. What did growth look like for her? Countless answers flooded her mind. Perfect PR responses but part of her wanted to truly give a moment to think about it. After all, was the perfect reply needed in this exact moment?[break][break]

"Hmm," Rina said as she lightly tapped her lips with her nail, "I think it would be finding and developing my own 'sound'. Something that I'm completely satisfied with. Feeling comfortable creatively to pour my heart out with my pen and to be able to connect with those listening." She said with a nod. "Music is therapy after all. It should be meaningful to both me and the audience."

Callan thanked her again and Ciprina assured him that all of this was truly no trouble, because it wasn't. While she might've found herself a little busy at the end of the day she was used to hosting individuals such as himself. In fact, she really shined when she hosted major parties and social events. [break][break]

Back in Sinnoh it was considered quite the 'treat' to be invited to one of the events Ciprina Fisk was hosting. It was just one of the side skills she perfected in order to maintain the image of the Fisk family. It was easy control certain things in those settings as well. Hence why it became Ciprina's job to distract and misdirect from an early age. [break][break]

"I run a music and media startup called Teravolt. We have enough funding to compete with the big players, like Hoenn Music Group. We lack their vast resources, but I promise we will never exploit artists for money. Everything we do is for fair treatment and protecting music from exploitation. We would love to have you join us."[break][break]

Callan's voice pulled her from her thoughts and brought her back to reality. Ciprina placed a small hand on her chest as she smiled. "Oh! I'm flattered thank you." her tone was light and the slight flush to her cheek suggested she truly was flattered and taken by slight surprise. But then her gaze fell to her lap where she now rested her hands. [break][break]

"But, I'm sure you can understand my hesitation a bit." She said softly. "It's not that I don't trust you, your track record speaks for itself. And the mission statement for your group sounds quite lovely it's just," she paused as she weight her words for a moment. Tell a bit of the truth her should seem credible, so she continued. Ciprina watched expectantly as Callan began to try the spread she'd prepared for him. However as soon as he had taken a bite she knew she'd done a good job. She'd have to give the chef and his staff a tip after this. "That was better than most meals I've ever had in my lifetime." Ciprina laughed before reaching out to try one of the bruschetta's. She quickly popped the pepper in her mouth, grabbing a napkin to cover it while she chewed. He was right, it really was good. [break][break]

"Mmm, yeah. That's definitely really good." she said before nodding towards the food. "Have as much as you'd like. I can always have more prepared if there's not enough too." After a few more bites it seemed Callan was ready to get down to business. "I suppose, now would be a good time for me to tell you why I asked to be here."[break][break]

Rina smiled and nodded. "Sounds good, make yourself comfortable." she said as she gestured to a table nearby the counter they were standing next to. "I know from our mutual friend Melody your contract may be finishing soon." Rina's face didn't convey any surprise. The perks of being an actress. "I would like to give you a proposal, would you mind giving me the opportunity to pitch it to you?"[break][break]

This was fast work, but she felt quite satisfied that things were falling into place nicely. She'd have something to report to her mother finally. And while she might not get much of congratulations from her mother at least it won't be disappointment. It would seem after all these years Ciprina still hadn't lost her touch. Making a connection with Melody had already proven worthwhile.[break][break]

"You've heard correctly then," she says with a soft chuckle. "You have the floor, Callan."

Ciprina had a game plan ever since her feet touched Hoenn soil. Perhaps even before then. Her mother had long since said it was time for her to get back to work, citing that she had been on hiatus long enough. While Rina could never understand the inner workings of her mother's mind she was ever the obedient child. [break][break]

Not only was she here in Hoenn to find her brother, luciano fisk, but she was also here to kickstart her fame again. Diving backing into the entertainment world after being on a break for so many years was nerve-wracking, but Ciprina usually performed well under pressure. Besides, some things were beginning to come back to her like second nature. [break][break]

While she would be returning back to her old love, this time she decided bolster her blockbuster fame and secure it by tapping into her musical side as well. Musically Ciprina had always had talents but she had never worked to really pursue it since theater and film had taken up so much of her time previously. Her small EP back when she was still a teen had received success but now she was looking to really get her feet wet in the music industry. [break][break]

Only issue was that she didn't exactly know where to start. She'd been out of the game for too long and she needed guiding hands to assist her now more than ever. So, what better way to do so than to align herself with some of the best in the game right now? That was her thought process for inviting Melody Miro to her home for lunch. [break][break]

Not only would it be nice to become friends with the young popstar, someone with enough fame and popularity who could elevate the Fisk name by just standing beside her, but Ciprina figured there was plenty of things she could learn from Melody as well. That is, if Melody didn't mind taking on a bit of a mentorship role with her. [break][break]

Melody should've already been directed to the garden area where they would be having lunch today. Ciprina was checking on a few last minute things before she eventually headed out to the gardens to join her. "Miss Miro, pleasure to meet you." she said with a smile as she approached. "Sorry to have kept you waiting, tea?" she asked as she took her seat across from her and the servers came forward gently placing tea cups on saucers in front of them.

"Welcome Mr. Young," the crackled voice of a man over the buzzer sounded before the door was opened by woman moment's later. The woman looked like a staff member who bowed slightly in greeting before stepping aside and ushering him in. "We've been expecting you Mr. Young." she said with an easy smile. "I hope you didn't have any troubles on your way here." she continued smoothly. [break][break]

"If you would follow me, Miss Fisk will join us in a second." the woman replied as she lead Callan to one of the seating areas away from the hustle and bustle of the staff. Meanwhile Ciprina was in the back kitchen checking over the hors d’oeuvres one last time before she was informed that Callan had arrived. [break][break]

Nodding Ciprina quickly made her way towards the sitting area so she could greet her guest. "Mr. Young, nice to meet you. I hope you weren't waiting long." Ciprina greeted with a warm smile. She offered her hand to him for a handshake as she introduced herself. "I'm Ciprina Fisk. Feel free to call me Rina though if that's easier." she said with a soft chuckle.[break][break]

"Can I get you anything? Something to drink or snack on maybe?" She said as she directed him to a nearby area with a spread she had prepared for him. Across the counters were countless trays of hors d’oeuvres available for him to pick and choose from. Cranberry-fig gogoat cheese crostini's, crumb-topped clamperl shells, and even rustic paldean pepper bruschetta. Drink options ranged from champagne, and non-alcoholic cocktails, sparkling water, and refreshers like lemonade and sweet tea. [break][break]

"I wasn't sure what you would be in the mood for so I prepared a bit of everything, I hope you don't mind." Rina replied with a sheepish laugh. "Oh and I hope you don't have any allergies to anything. If so, feel free to tell the staff and they'll remove the items right away."

Ciprina hadn't been expecting to meet with another decorated celebrity so soon after her meeting with Melody Miro. But she wasn't exactly complaining either. Whatever this was about, if she played her cards right this would spell good for her and her family if she secured a friendship, better yet a partnership. [break][break]

Ciprina paused her fluttering around her home to sigh. That was just like her mother to be looking forward to the profits of a friendship. Was she surprised though? Absolutely not, her mother had raised her to be like this after all. To cease every opportunity before her to further elevate their family name. [break][break]

She was starting to get a headache just thinking about it. "Marnie?" Ciprina called for her manager who was filling in as her assistant for today. "Yes, princess?" Marnie didn't pause her running around to answer her but humored her with a light tease nonetheless. "Haah," Rina sighed again, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Did the chef arrive yet? I know they were running late."[break][break]

Marnie's voice was distant as she was still rushing to get everything ready for their guest's arrival. "Yes, they arrived just a few minutes ago. They're settling in. Luckily a lot of the prep work for the hors d’oeuvres was already done prior to their arrival." That was good. One less thing Ciprina needed to worry about then. [break][break]

Despite how often she'd hosted social gatherings of her own or for her family back home in Sinnoh, this time she found herself nervous and pressed for time. Perhaps it was the suddenness of everything. She was a bit of a perfectionist in the sense that she would've rathered ample time to prepare something suitable to both her name and the tastes of her guest. [break][break]

But that was just life. She couldn't have everything she wanted. Though she was usually close despite that fact. Ciprina headed to the mirror on the wall nearby and checked her appearance one more while she waited to be alerted of Callan Young's arrival to her little humble abode.
