Today he hadn’t had much to do, so he had been convinced by a friend of his to look through a bunch of MEME. Most of which he didn’t understand. Maybe he was more the type to watch TV; he would have some understanding of them; from what he understood, most of them were from TV shows or movies.

Perhaps he should invest in watching some movies. However, he wasn’t sure if he cared much for watching TV. Letting out a sigh, he took a break from messing around on his phone and decided to head out for a walk. Perhaps taking a walk would give him enough to preoccupy his mind with.

With how nice the weather had been lately, he had decided he could try and add some more friends to his team. Though he usually avoided the beach today, he had decided it wouldn’t hurt to try his luck catching some Pokémon there.

Reaching the beach, he quickly looked around before making his way to the water. Hopefully catching a Pokémon would be a piece of CAKE, and he wouldn’t have to stay too long in the water.

There was a certain BRILLIANCE about Dazzling Gleam that differed from other forms of light that could be used. Maybe because there was a bit of a sparkle when it came to the fairy-type move. It almost made the light cast by the equine Pokémon seem ethereal.

Perhaps if things were different. Like if he were a different person, he could get lost in the beauty of the shadows cast by the light Celestia gave off. Instead, he seemed more focused on his surroundings, or more precisely, the feeling that someone’s eyes were on. Something he tried to convince himself was his imagination.

Looking around again, he let out a low huff. “This is ridiculous,” he muttered under his breath. This place was getting to him. Maybe he was low on oxygen or something, except that didn’t really make sense since he felt like he was breathing just fine.

As focused as he was in trying to figure out whether or not the feeling of being watched was his imagination or not, he didn't realize that Celestia had stopped until he ran into her. Quickly taking a step back, he shot her a slightly irritated look.

He was about to child her when he thought he heard something in front of them. Though it seemed like it was still far enough away that the light that came from Celestia didn’t catch whatever it was. Frowning, he strained his eyes, trying to see what it was.[break] Lasciel Elis

“I suppose so,” he agreed with a sigh. It wasn’t like his Pokémon were exactly small either. All of his Pokémon were on the larger side. Still, that didn’t make him any less on edge. He hadn’t really been without a Pokémon within reach; at six, he was ten, and now all SIX of the Pokémon he had carried on him weren’t where he could reach them. It wasn’t like he was expecting trouble, but he was in a word paranoid.

“I honestly didn’t read much up on it. I kept myself pretty busy or tried to. It was kind of hard since I was kind of limited on what I could do with my ranger duties,” he admitted with a small shrug. He had always liked staying on the busy side; the less he had time to think, the better.

Yeah, that was right; Josh had damaged his arm pretty badly. "Well, that’s not too bad; you were able to recover,” he pointed out before continuing. “As for me, they’re not entirely sure how long my recovery time will take. It’s actually the lashes I received that are taking the longest. The doctor thinks the material from the shirt sometimes rubs up against it, irritating it and causing the healing to be slowed. I tend to wear looser clothing as I'm so unsure how that could be.”

He had told the doctor as much, but he wasn’t sure either. The only other thing he could think of is that the few times he had accidentally fallen asleep, he had done something. He did tend to have nightmares every time he slept, not that he would tell anyone as much. Well, at least not someone he didn’t really know.

Of course he still needed therapy for his arm as well. According to the doctor, that wasn’t the first time the arm had healed wrong, so it was harder to come back from something like that. It was still hard to grip stuff with his left hand at times because that arm was still pretty stiff, but it wasn’t too bad; it didn’t hurt, so that was something.

“Do you have busier times at your gym than in other parts of the year?” he inquired curiously. Hadn’t he said something about not having many challengers at some point? If that was the case, then he was glad to do his gym was doing better. “I’m glad to be here with you as well; probably wouldn’t have come otherwise,” he admitted.

Following Josh over to what he assumed was the dancing game, he looked it over. The controls kind of reminded him of a piano. His friend's voice pulled his attention away from studying the machine, and he glanced at the older ranger.

It seemed that they were still on the search then. “What does the game even look like?” he inquired, figuring he could help if he knew what to look for.[break] Josh Devlin

As he swam into the cave, he had a strange feeling that someone was watching him. Not wanting to look the fool and look wildly around, he continued into the cave. Nothing immediately jumped out of him, but he knew it was too early to CELEBRATE, especially considering he couldn’t see very well unsurprising considering it was a cave system.

Knowing he had no choice unless he wanted to stumble around in the dark, he released Celestia from her pokeball. "Celestia, you mind provided me with a bit of light?” he inquired of the equine Pokémon.

The Galarian Rapidash simply lit up her horn with a low-powered Dazzling Gleam as to not temporarily blind her owner by the sudden change in lighting. Relieved now that he could see a bit better, he looked around, trying to see anything that could pose a thread. Seeing nothing immediately, he began to make his way deeper in the cave system but couldn’t quite help but cast a look behind him as he did so, unable to quite shake the feeling that he was being watched.[break] Lasciel Elis

When he had first ventured into the wilds, he had been unsure about ever returning. He wasn’t a fighter by any means, but it was his desire to protect those around him that had him returning once again. He needed to get stronger, and if this was one of the ways to do it, then so be it. Though he was going somewhere new in his quest to get stronger.

Ultra Sea was weird. He hadn’t really been expected to be able to swim at such a depth without aid from a Pokémon, but here he was. Don’t get him wrong, he was a fairly strong swimmer, but a dislike for being wet kept him out of the water for the most part, so he had never really gone deep diving, especially not here to know how to dress. Because of that, he actually had dressed like he was on some kind of deep sea adventure.

Fiddling with the EMERALD green googles over his eyes, he swam until he came across what seemed like some kind of cave system. Swimming inside, he went from swimming to walking, which definitely made him feel a bit more at ease, but not by much.[break] Lasciel Elis

It might be the guys RITUAL to be as foul-mouthed as possible, but surely they couldn’t be true of those kids. He didn’t remember a lot of cussing throughout his schooldays then again he had spent most of his formative years ignoring everyone. Basically all the people he met in his home region had been met outside of school, when he had just been wandering around.

“Never really been into any of that, sorry,” he said, not sounding sorry at all. It was clear he was just trying to be polite. Just because he wasn’t always the nicest didn’t mean he didn’t have manners. He just tended to not use them most of the time, mostly because he found a lot of people annoying.

As he went on to explain what he had just witnessed earlier, he frowned. “I don’t know; it seemed to me like you were wounding him up. You could’ve just as easily told him to get lost without engaging him. People like that thrive off conflict because they know they were able to get under your skin; if you shut them down before anything can even get started, they’ll believe they weren’t able to get to you and will back down.”[break] Andrew Fisher

It was a mixture of surprise and discomfort that he accepted the gratitude. He honestly hadn’t expected the older male to address him positively considering how he was going at the other guy. Though some part of him would rather him just yell out, there was still something about gratitude being directed his way that made him uncomfortable.

Listening to the first part of what he had to say, he only grunted in acknowledgment and continued letting him speak. It wasn’t until he mentioned the others attempts at getting him jumped that he actually spoke. “You know I could have you arrested for endangerment, don’t you?” he asked, giving the guy a pointed glare. He wasn’t bluffing either; if he even caught a whiff of the guy pulling this shit again, he wouldn’t hesitate to have the guy arrested.

‘Damn coward,’ he inwardly scoffed as the guy took off. Luckily, he had been standing far enough away from the guy to avoid physical CONTACT with him.

“Please refrain from all the profanity,” he said as he caught sight of some kids among the onlookers. Not liking their mischievous looks, he shot them a glare. “So help me if I hear of any of you using any of these words; I’ll come and wash your mouths out with soap myself,” he snapped, causing the few kids in the onlookers to balk and look at him as if to see he was bluffing. In the end, they decided not to risk it and moved closer to their parents. Shooting Ever a grateful look, the parent gathered up their kids and guided them away.

Usually Ever was the type to reserve JUDGEMENT, but between getting ignored and the way the older male was acting, he couldn’t help but just really dislike this guy. Not that was saying much. He tended to dislike most people and came with the territory of having trust issues.

Though if this guy was including both of them in the stalking bracket, then he was insulted. He definitely had much better things to do than follow around some guy. Especially if it was something he didn’t really know. However, he had a feeling that wasn’t the case, especially when the two people before him interacted with each other like he wasn’t there.

Feeling a headache forming, he moved closer to the duo. “Break it up, you two. You’re causing quite the scene,” he said impassively. Seriously, why did it have to fall to him to break up some petty squabble? Weren’t there people better qualified for this?

Apparently not since he was the only one who had stepped forward. And it wasn’t like there weren’t plenty of onlookers to step forward and break up the fight.[break] Andrew Fisher

Studying the other and listening more to the sound of his voice, it started to click on where he knew the guy. Well, not really knew. It was more like they had only been in the same room; it wasn’t like they had actually interacted with one another.

If he was right, this was one of those people who had been abducted. Meaning they had traveled through SPACE together. He was entirely sure how he should feel about that. On one hand, he just wanted to forget about what happened; on the other, if that was how he knew this guy, then he felt bad that he had gone through such an experience.

Before he could think too much of it, he was pulled off by whatever insult came through the livestream as well as the other’s panicked response. “Don’t be so vulgar; there may be children around,” he snapped, his eyes briefly flickering to the stream sniper following the older male.

"Also, if you would actually pay attention to what’s going on around you, you'd notice you’re being followed,” he said, at least trying not to sound nicer, but he was more used to saying things the way they were and probably came off sounding condescending.[break] Andrew Fisher
