She was awed by the overgrowth and the varying mechanisms at work and the motif of time that filled the kingdom. Perhaps, this was a place Almighty Sinnoh had created just for Her followers. "Thank you for coming along. Have you been before?" She looked over her escort, who looked capable but possibly just as surprised by the place as she was. "We have to make our way to this clock tower," she said as she pointed at it ahead of them, "but I heard there are strange pokemon here, so the League told me to never come alone." [break][break]

Her eyes lit up as she took in the scenery once more. "So long as we keep an eye out, I think we'll be alright, yeah?"

Her lungs burn. Still, she scours the sand floor. Her hands search hungrily for something to claim. She knows there are but a few minutes left in the Clamperl competition. Let her get her hands on a shiny Clamperl, damn it... she knows it is here, somewhere. She just has to push herself a little further.

Her eyes lit up as he mentioned trick room as a strategy. "Ah, that's brilliant. I need to get more into battling so I can better understand match-ups and good tricks like that." [break][break]

She patted Slowking on the back encouragingly. "I'm not in Mauville often, but I've heard of your gym. If it's open for viewers for the regular battles, I ought to stop by." A little more sober, she added, "Now more than ever, it's vital that all trainers do their part." Slowking murmured in agreement. "Plus, it'll be cool to see how best to use fast pokemon. I just got my hands on a Zeraora, but it's very different from my normal pokemon. I stick to fairies for the most part."

The Mechanical Kingdom held the motif of time, which she felt was important. Almighty Sinnoh might have put her on this path in order to learn something of Her wisdom. [break][break]

Getting to visit with someone familiar with the land was all the better. The two of them moved through the spatial rift. Standing in the Mechanical Kingdom, she was awed by all she saw. And, admittedly, a little overwhelmed. "Where do we go from here?"

I know he's tough as nails." She nudged his shoulder, and Slowking finally looked pleased and relaxed. She knew Pelipper could get on his nerves, but it was good that he could bounce back. "Gorgeous Pyroar," she complimented as one nudged her. She was thankful it wasn't nighttime when she'd need sunglasses to look at them. They reminded her of the way Illumise could glow at night. She had recently learned of crystalblooms and their impact on pokemon, but she had yet to encounter one in person. His collection was almost more impressive than the feat of illumina. "I can't imagine managing so many pokemon at once!"

Forty-three seconds later, the winds had died down and she could uncover her face and breathe normally. In front of her stood the unmistakable Josh Devlin. [break][break]

She got to her feet and clutched at her chest, ears flushing with embarrassment. "Oh, I am so sorry about that! I didn't - I didn't know Pelipper could hit that hard. Or that he'd disobey me and use hurricane," she added with a sharp look at her Pelipper, who knowingly fluttered down to the ground. Her Slowking took that as an opportunity to crawl out of the sea he'd been rudely tossed into. She latched her arms around the six foot pokemon and squeezed. [break][break]

"I am so, so sorry about the trouble. I promise I wasn't here to cause issues on the beach. I know that's the last thing anyone needs." The why went unspoken. War sat on everyone's tongues these days. "I'm Keiko Mori, an officer. I work with HBIC for cases of mail fraud." The courier hoped he believed her; she didn't have her mail delivery bag with her today since she'd marked it off her calendar as a day just dedicated to her pokemon and their need to grow.
