TOXAPEX, her phone had read out. It was exuding a poisonous liquid to ineffectively fight off the net. She found herself unclear of how to approach. She shared a glance with her Pelipper. "I don't want you to make contact with it or the net directly," she explained. "I don't have an antidote for you if you get poisoned."[break][break]

[attr="class","rosepost"]Keiko's eyebrows shoot up as the Captain asks about her. "Uh, totally fine," she finally answers, gesturing broadly to herself. She is ok, just unsettled. But as much as the shore is grounding, the presence of someone who Knows What They're Doing is even moreso.[break][break]
The other woman just commands a presence, an air of respect, a resoluteness. It's easy to yield to her. She's glad the Captain takes possession of the vials, even though Keiko was normally protective of important artifacts like that. She was an elite mail courier back in Sinnoh; here, she feels much more like a footsoldier following orders.[break][break]
"No one else," she reports honestly. "The trio of people down in the water by the far side of the structure were already being escorted by a Ranger rescue team on boat." Inside the structure had just been failing machines and loose, worrying wires.[break][break]
She spares a glance at the hungry ocean before returning her focus to the conversation at hand. "I think it's pretty clear. If this stuff is hazardous," she says with a gesture to the vials, "then it's a good thing it won't get in the water."[break][break]

She dove underneath the water with her slim mask, Pelipper sinking underneath with her. Keiko was glad her new partner in crime had a very efficient pokemon for this task. "Loud and clear," she responded cheerfully. Vaporeon sped ahead of them, causing Keiko worry. "Er, we're expecting Sharpedo, which might react aggressively to such a quick-moving -"[break][break]
The Sharpedo swarm was on all of them, now. Pelipper used super sonic on the Sharpedo closest, confusing the deep-sea pokemon. "We need to move quickly into the structure. If we find a small enough opening, the Sharpedo won't be able to follow."[break][break]june sleigh [break]27. Handle encounters with hostile individuals or pokemon.

OK, maybe that's dramatic. She feels the floor shake underneath her and freezes, flashlight in hand and breath held.[break][break]
Fate was determined to prove the good Captain right. Keiko scurries down the hall as the floor and ceiling crack around her. Ahead of her is a pile of debris where the ceiling has caved in. She leaps around it, partially crawling on the wall as she maneuvers around. There's a vial on the floor where she lands, and she scoops it up instinctively as she hurries back to her waiting Pelipper.[break][break]
She puts the flashlight in her mouth, clutches the vial tight in her free hand, and holds onto his waiting claws to carry her out of the building. She knows better than to look back, but she does, and seeing the crumbling infrastructure fully join the sea leaves something sick twisting in her gut.[break][break]
She lands on the shore and nearly stumbles, her legs jelly like ditto, but she manages to stagger to the Captain's side again. She presents the vial, then pulls the flashlight from her mouth with her newly freed hand. "No idea what this is. Got it, though." She isn't sure if they should expect more people inside the underwater structure or not. [break][break]

[attr="class","rosepost"]She doesn't realize how little time is on the ticking clock until it strikes the final point. The building shutters around them like a shaky exhale. Keiko lets Pelipper help her out of the building, but she stays close to Saskia. The Ranger's pokemon have fought valiantly to make the mission possible.[break][break]
Side by side, the heavy silence rests like a blanket over them both.[break][break]
She wraps an arm around Saskia's shoulders, tugging the younger woman close. "You did good. We got what we needed." The Octillery would be fine. And the League would be thankful for the intel. Hopefully. She wasn't sure if it would empty or full of nonsense memes from an information officer or something else entirely. But. They had retrieved something, at least.[break][break]
Anything to keep out of Rocket hands was a victory. "You wanna go for a bite? I could eat a Rapidash at this point."[break][break]saskia volosenkova [break]

[attr="class","rosepost"]Keiko steadies on her feet at Sasky's grip. "OK, corral, I can do that." She whistled to get Pelipper's attention. Then, "Tailwind!" Pelipper gathered up momentum by soaring to the high ceiling before swooping through the room. The blast of wind pushed the Octillery into one corner.[break][break]
The corner happened to be on the shore-side, helping offer a little push back to land instead of a dangerous push to sea.[break][break]
"Alright," she said as she felt the urgency in the base of her throat, "let's get out of here like yesterday." She brandished the USB between them, showing the mission was complete, before snapping her fingers on her free time and getting Pelipper to come back to her.[break][break]
