One part of it was probably Togekiss' naturally calming energy, and another part was the sensation of untouchability. Time seemed to stretch, gently, when she was on Togekiss. It was -[break][break]
"Wait!" She pointed over the side of Togekiss to the pink dot on the ground. "Go lower, let's check that out!" Togekiss banked, then dove down, bringing herself to float just above the ground. "Look at it," she gushed, "it's so freakin' cute." She hopped off of Togekiss, her serenity and her mail task forgotten in favor of the sweet pink pokemon ahead of her. "Um, you're coming home with me." She cooed at it, making grabby hands until it teetered closer and she could grab it.[break][break]

[attr="class","rosepost"]"Got it," she acknowledges as she waits for the Corviknight. She examines the teen's cuts and offers clean water from Pelipper to assist, the bird soaking her leg to clear debris and dust from the small wounds. Then, She assists the civilian in getting aboard.[break][break]
She wants the civilian fly off with Corviknight and feels uneasy. Adrenaline makes her a little sick.[break][break]
"The girl on your Corviknight is not in urgent need, but a little medical attention could go a long way to avoiding an infection." She feels a twinge of guilt at not getting the girl's name. Keiko steps further inside the building, searching with a flashlight in hand. "When you say unstable," she adds belatedly, "how unstable are we talking?"[break][break]

[attr="class","rosepost"]USB drives... It's a great idea. She forgets about the stray documents and instead checks each computer, finding herself a plain and indistinct USB. "Gotcha!" She pulls it out without informing the computer that's what she's doing, as one is supposed to do, but the power is out, so she'll just have to hope it doesn't corrupt anything.[break][break]
She's about to thank Saskia for the brilliant idea when the Ranger radios in about them not being alone.[break][break]
The building shakes a little, and she can hear the sounds of a scuffle not far from her. She pockets the USB and scurries out of the room, doing her best to navigate the halls according to the sound.[break][break]
She finds herself at the entrance of a room filled with Octillery -- and her partner. "Let's get a little hands on with it, then," she says breathlessly from her sprint. She tackles the Octillery closest to her and squeezes it tight in a bear hug to incapacitate it. Meanwhile, Pelipper opens his mouth to launch a supersonic to confuse the Octillery closest to him. "Stupid... Octillery..." she grits out as she wrestles with the one in her arms.[break][break]saskia volosenkova [break]

[attr="class","rosepost"]Keiko hung onto Togekiss as the two flew through the sky. She moved slower than normal, still getting used to the Hoenn region. She had a good idea for the address, but this was her last delivery of the day. The sun was going to set soon. More importantly, the grassy hills appeared to dance in the breeze. It was mesmerizing.[break][break]
"These are the good times," she told Togekiss. They would have to hold on tight to these moments. Hoenn was on the brink of war.[break][break]

[attr="class","rosepost"]Keiko has no idea what intel will look like. She also has no idea how long she has before the building finishes descending into the sea or until a swarm of wild pokemon assault the building out of distress. There's a lot of variables and little information.[break][break]
"I think I'm making my way into the center," she relays into her radio as she takes a few more turns through the labyrinthine building. All the hallways look identical, but most of them are helpfully free of random pokemon.[break][break]
She enters a room with a dozen screens. The power's off, so she isn't sure what was originally displayed on them, but this looks like some sort of nerve center or HQ or something from those action moves she never cared for. "I believe I'm in the heart of the building. Not sure... still... what to look for." She communicated between shuffles of papers and thumbing through folders. The dossiers seemed to be focused on pokemon behaviorism and ocean movements or something. She saw sonar data but didn't know how to parse it.[break][break]saskia volosenkova [break]

"We can leave it. I think it was upset about the crumbling building and the disruption to all the wildlife. I suspect it will be much calmer when it wakes." She hoped so, at least. She was no Ranger, so pokemon behaviorism wasn't a strongsuit of hers.[break][break]

Instead, she only offered, "well, thanks. I'm Keiko Mori." She extended a hand, considering his offer for an autograph. The unemployed and economically challenged were frequent committers of mail fraud, so more information about him wouldn't be so bad. "I'll take that autograph. And if you're looking for work, we're always hiring more mail couriers." On her shirt was a Pelipper pin with a satchel across it, denoting her as a courier herself.[break][break]Althus Rex [break]

Pelipper continued to finish up soaking the forest. Meanwhile, Togekiss had floated forward to bump the Togepi warmly. Keiko wanted to get out of here before people saw the scorched, wet area and assumed she was incompetent in an emergency. "Do you normally see a natural disaster and run straight into it, like, for fun?" It was a Ranger's responsibility to do that. She wasn't quite sure what to make of this guy.[break][break]Althus Rex [break]

Her eyes were saucers as she took in the scene. "Um. Well, that's one problem solved." She blinked at him owlishly until a raindrop fell on her face. She looked up to see that there was a drizzle. Oh, that could only mean one thing.[break][break]
"Thank you, Almighty Sinnoh," she breathed out. Pelipper flew above, its presence summoning a gentle rain. "Make it rain!" The bird used hydro pump over all of the visible fires. Keiko turned to guy and his Togepi, curious. "Are you a Ranger?" This wasn't her usual scene as a mail investigator, but she knew she was supposed to let the Rangers lead the effort based on jursidiction.[break][break]Althus Rex [break]03.
