Failure was merely a setback Evelyn refused to let hold her back. She had been surfing at least once a day now, determined to hone her skills to perfection. There was no stopping until she achieved the extreme level of mastery she demanded of herself. The Mantine she used was undoubtedly exhausted from all the training they had endured, but Evelyn knew it was a growing experience for both of them—a journey she was certain to conquer. As she attempted another Primarina Twist, she knew it would be fun, if only for the moment

Evelyn was never fond of Pikachu. She couldn't stand the ordinary Kanto form, and while the Alolan Raichu had a bit of appeal, that was where her tolerance ended. But now, she had to deal with an infestation of them. Wonderful. She knew swarms meant a plentiful amount, but many? It was ridiculous. She could barely walk without almost getting hit by a Thunderbolt or attacked by an Iron Tail. [break][break]

They crazed looking for thunderstone. One pikachu dung up a Thunderstone and evolved into an Alolan Raichu decided to block her path. "I don't have time for this. Reflect Screen and Shadow Ball" Snapping her fingers. Her Espurr and Gastly got to work and the Raichu backed off, but as soon as one left, another seemed ready to appear. Her Eevee sneered then looked up at the woman with mild interest.[break][break]

"If you want a fight, run along," Evelyn dismissed them with a flick of her hand. The more she could defeat into the horde, the more pelts she could sell for the black market. It was just a matter of getting them, after all but risk was slowly overweighting the reward. [break][break]

Mantine Surfing was obviously a bit of a sore spot for the day, but driving with Clamperl after snagging another Tera Shard the previous day lifted her spirits. She had high expectations, of course—it was Evelyn, after all—but even she couldn’t help feeling a bit pleased as she gazed down at the sea below. It was hard not to enjoy it when she knew she was destined to outshine everyone else.

Like clockwork, Evelyn was riding the waves as if she owned them. Of course, she did—at least, that's how it felt. She needed to keep the pace if she wanted the top score, and maintaining the pressure was essential. The Primarina Twist was her signature move, the ultimate display of her finesse and superiority. Marine surfing was quickly becoming her favorite activity of the summer—how could it not, when she was clearly the best at it?

The night was ripe with potential, and Evelyn was eager to make the most of it. Caring for a child all by herself had been a daunting task, but one she embraced with unwavering dedication. Tonight, however, was her time to shine—to captivate someone or impress in any way she could. She had heard quite a bit about the Snail Pit, a place known for its good drinks as well as drugs. [break][break] Her curiosity got the better of her, leading her to walk through its doors. As she entered, Evelyn’s initial excitement gave way to a touch of disappointment. The bar was far from the lively scene she had imagined even worst the bartender seemed to be a fuzzy mood. Wonderful.

Despite the less-than-glamorous surroundings, Evelyn refused to let her spirits sag. Her determination to enjoy the night remained undiminished. She moved with an air of effortless grace, her presence commanding attention as she glided towards the bar. Evelyn maintained her charm, her smile radiant and unwavering.[break][break]

Taking a seat at the bar, she addressed the annoyed bartender with a confident, smooth tone. “Do you have any brandy?”

Pleased with her surfing skills, Evelyn couldn’t help but feel unimpressed with the items she had gathered so far. Despite her own prowess, the collection was lackluster compared to others who had managed to find berries or even Mega Stones. Her hoard was far from impressive, but she was determined to keep searching for more valuable items until the very end.

A Tera Shard! Oh, what a splendid prize to grace Evelyn's illustrious collection. How positively delightful it was to add such a gem to her already impeccable array of treasures. Yet, Evelyn's discerning eye was not so easily satisfied. No, indeed—there were still countless riches to be unearthed, and the Clamperl were merely holding a fraction of the grandeur she sought. As she descended into the depths with a grace befitting her status, she reveled in the thrill of the hunt.
