as the ice continues to spread, eventually it grows enough that the golem can no longer move. a portion of its leg is glued into place, cemented in crystalline frost.

“maybe think twice about touching things that don’t belong to you.” is it a lack of compassion or disdain for their intrusion. regardless, it’s almost as cold as golem’s end.

“now, now. both of you need to get out now.” she looks to walk them out herself. “you don’t have much time.”

RANGER RAID REDUX

MOUNT PYRE RUMBLES with a nauseous groan. ledges start to collapse as the rangers force the cliffside to give up on these SHADOW POKEMON. like a disease, they are forcibly expunged, hacked up in a coughing fit of dirt and rock.

somewhere, underneath the pluming clouds of dust and debris, they’re buried. however, should the rangers investigate further, all they will find is the broken body of Orion Lykos’s hydreigon.



“grrrr.”

brilliant yellow eyes cut through the veil of their destruction. the SHADOW LUXRAY paws its way through meters of dirt until the exposed spikes of aggron’s skull jut out from underneath. electricity swats at the beaten pokemon until it comes to, momentarily dazed before lashing out with a snap of its jaw.

“shi. shi. shi. shi.”

a SHADOW SHEDINJA manifest from nothingness. there is no PHANTOM FORCE or other signs of teleportation. it simply exists, somewhere in the middle as the krookadile pops from the rubble.

tensions run thick but it never escalates.

they’re gone well before anyone can discover their presence.



once his wounds heal from the burns of the THUNDERBOLT, Lux Defort will remember his would-be attacker. the fog may have obscured the details but the silhouette will remain ingrained into his memory: a somewhat humanoid figure with odd protrusions all over their faded shape.
