The man Was slowly considering packing up the date. The show had already started and there was no sign of Stormy. No reply to the text message or anything. Did she actually forget it? Or... Did she actually leave in Kazimir's arms? It did seem like they were dating back during the events of Blade and Bulwark...[break][break]

Stuck in his thoughts and worrying about what had happened, he never noticed Stormy drop beside him. It was only when her voice rose up that he was almost startled. She had proceeded to ask him how the dates went, as well as the party. The one he had missed after what he had seen. The man shook his head, deciding to put these feelings behind.[break][break]

"Well, I could tell you how my dates went, but I would need to finish all of them first." With a small smirk, the man pressed a button on his phone. Almost instantly, a notification appeared on Stormy's cellphone, which would indicate that her final date for the Event was Balder.[break][break]

Balder proceeded to grab a bottle of Rhum and take a small sip from it. "As for the party... Yeah, I ended up missing it. I had some more work to do and I wanted to prepare this place so we can have a nice view and be able to relax when we wished to. Kinda sad that I missed it, but that's fine. So long as everyone enjoyed themselves, that's what matters."

"... You're joking? You don't even know the one legendary where there are even churches about him in the region?" That was surprising... And disappointing. He's the Head Ranger. You'd think he'd know at least that kind of thing, especially locations in the region he protects.[break][break]

Balder sighed, then took a deep breath. Story time. "Ok so the legend goes that Arceus was the god who created the world, gave birth to the lord of Time, Dialga, and the king of Space, Palkia. As well as third entity governing Antimatter, Giratina, but that one rebelled and such. Long story short: Arceus is supposedly the Creator of All, made our planet and stuff. And later on, Groudon and Kyogre made the land and Sea etc."[break][break]

While this story wasn't all that common, the fact remained that a Church of Arceus would indicate that this religion was widely spread. But it seems like not many in Hoenn were believers, and Balder didn't really see said churches, maybe they were too small to be noticed. So the fact that Lars didn't know any of this might... actually be somewhat logical?

"You say that as if having mustard is a bad thing." He says that but... it's true she did put too much mustard. To the point that Balder barely tasted the bread and the content. Proof that he needed to teach her how to cook someday, to avoid this scenario again. Still, they were edible and he would not disregard her effort.[break][break]

The man nodded at her explanation as to why she wasn't eating much, deciding not to dive further into the case. Could it also be related to whatever was stressing her? But then again, she would speak about it when she feels comfortable. Probing her on the subject would only stress her even more.[break][break]

So, Balder decided to try to change the subject, or make things easier on her. "So, do you have anything planned for the week? Things seem to be calming down for the Elite Four so I'm hoping you'll be able to have some vacation or more time to relax?"

THE EVENTS WERE NOW SLOWLY COMING TO A CLOSE. The markets were closing and people were slowly retreating to their rooms, homes and Inns. But suddenly, a voice emerged from the speakers that could be found all around the city.[break][break]

"Ladies and Gentleman, once again, thank you for being with us upon this joyous day! To end this in a spectacular fashion, we will be hosting what is known as the 'Firework Wars'! We have recruited some firework experts from around the region, as well as from Alola, and they will proceed to give you a fabulous spectacle! Please stick around and take a seat in the highest trees available!" [break][break]

The voice on the speaker died, but the silence was quickly broken by an explosion of flames and sparkles over everyone's head, showcasing a winking Pikachu face. While the glitters slowly fell on the people, the crowd that was still active would move to the locations indicated by the voice in order to be able to watch the event. [break][break]

The festivities of Fortree were now finishing up. Wrapping up even. While all the markets had closed and the gatherings had ended, one event still remained: The grand finale of the Fireworks Wars. And for the occasion, the best seating at the top of the city had been reserved, to get a good view of the starry skies and the explosion of artistic flames.[break][break]

Sitting on the platform, Balder was waiting for his final date to arrive. He had placed some food, a bottle of wine and some beer around so they would be able to observe the show. Behind him was a room where they would be able to retire and relax or even sleep.[break][break]

The Alolan Man proceeded to text Stormy, checking if she was good to join him. Hopefully she wasn't lost or totally forgot. That would be a sad night, especially after seeing what he thought was a kiss between her and Kazimir. Something he would have to address at some point. But the night he had planned for them was more important.

"People forget when they don't get a reminder Laurence. In our case, our popularity is too high to be forgotten. Even me vanishing from the region for months barely changed a thing due to the impact I had. And yeah, I'm aware of her nickname and where it originated from... Even though I must agree she deserves this one." Plus, knowing that Ruby held a dominion on many Psychic types, she would surely be able to find a way in.[break][break]

As the plate floated towards Lars, Balder noticed the water turning... somewhat muddy. Yet, there didn't seem to be any soil residues on it. "... Odd. This shouldn't be happening." Once Lars had it in his hand, the plate was wet, yes, but didn't seem muddy at all. Lars adding that this meeting might be a trap was something the man had to agree with, with a simple nod.[break][break]

After joking about the judgement from people other regions, he proceeded to ask what he thought this meant. Balder sighed. "Two possibilities. First would be related to Arceus itself, as the legend goes that he was the creator of the universe. The other possibility... is an unknown legend, preceding Arceus and thus indicating that the divinity did NOT create the universe, but something else. And this could be dangerous..."

So the Head Ranger was a true Hoennian, only aware of the legends of Kyogre, Groudon and the few information about the flying Green Dragon. "Well, you're right in the sense that I did travel. Plus, my travels lead me to learn about many of the legends of each and every regions. And their customs as well. So I do have an inkling of what this plate should relate to."[break][break]

The man proceeded to place the plate on top of the water, letting it float for a bit. Maybe he was expecting something unusual from it? Like turning the water muddy or something. "Our best bet would be to have someone we can trust to go, and who's able to disguise themselves. Like Ruby. Hoping she can put the disguise on at least. The two of us would get noticed right away and wouldn't be able to gather any information."[break][break]

But then, an unexpected turn occurred. Something related to the tattoos the man harbored and how it was viewed. Having travelled Kanto and Johto, Balder was aware of how tattooed individuals were regarded in the Hot Springs of these regions, and decided to play along. "What, didn't you know? While I was on the run from Olivia, I formed a Yakuza Gang and took things in my own hand, and the landlady's part of my gang!" The man chuckled. "Obviously, she's fine with me having those. I help her from time to time, and she knows me so there's no issues. And Hoennians in general don't seem to mind about tattoos."

Balder proceeded to take the tablet from Lars' hand, listening to the words he was saying. Before he started reading and inspecting, however, he heard the Head Ranger mention a meeting. Flyers and such too. The Alolan squinted as he looked at the man. "The circumstances are indeed odd. Maybe other groups have found similar objects in their travels, but announcing a meeting..."[break][break]

Balder paused for a second. "Thinking it'd be some Rocket remnant or something like that? The risk is too high yeah. But on the off chance that it's really attracting people that got the same item... It'd be a goldmine of information." And it was true. Problem is, both himself or Lars couldn't show themselves at that location. They'd be painting targets on their back if this plate ended up being more valuable then expected.[break][break]

The Ex-Gym Leader brought the tablet up to his face, beginning to read the content on the back. "Before the universe came..." ".... I feel like I know what this is related to. But... It doesn't make any sense at all. If it is what I think it is, why would it be down there... We need more information. That is for certain."
