Seemed like a lot of people were trying this seriously, giving their all in the fishing competition and almost getting violent with the magikarps. Something about someone wanting to execute one of the fish? Why would they do something like this? The fishies did nothing wrong. Throwing back his capture, Balder tried to land a better magikarp again.

So it really was because she was having a hard time with the birds... As two pokemons emerged from the water, Ash decided to move and jumped down from Balder's shoulder, using the Wormadam's body as a landing pad. Instants later, she was burning the grass pokemon, to which Balder captured to ensure the pokemon wouldn't suffer from Ash's torment too long.[break][break]

"Well, here's my theory. Water pokemons are attracted to you because you remind them of the sea, of their natural habitat. That's why you got an easier time with them." Ash returned beside her trainer's side, almost looking triumphant and proud of what she did. She then rubbed her leg against Balder's leg, making him go down and rub her head. "Still, it doesn't mean it's impossible for you to train other types. The best way is to try and understand them, to go along with what they like. In an Oricorio's view point, the most important thing is to dance and be graceful. And I do believe you got the potential to do just that."

In an idealistic, idiotic yet intrepid manner, the lifeguard was saved by a young kid, Thomas, who threw a shiny thing before the Bidoof, distracting them momentarilly. Thus, the man was saved by a child, creating a new bond of friendship. But was it also the start of another adventure for them? A shadow was looming over them, possibly leading to more problems and worries.

She was definitely belittling the capacities of the pokemons that were weak to fire... "If we go by common knowledge, my Golem would be your Charizard's natural enemy then." Golem roared, as if to show dominance over the Charizard. Balder placed a hand before the creature however, stopping its roar abruptly. "Yet, it is possible for them to overcome their weakness and prevail. Just as humans can push through their limits. And meeting adversity with their weaknesses might actually trigger growth."[break][break]

The young man observed her movements, analysed her words. Having nothing in Kanto, no attachment to her home region? Possible yes. But to simply focus on the present and not the future? That seemed... odd. It's understandable to want to live the present moment, but one can't push one without at least considering the future right? The lunge was a miss, surprisingly. It seemed like the opponent knew his way in a fight somehow. Maybe it wouldn't be as boring as he thought it could be. As Balder's arm flew over the other trainer, the crowd suddenly turned silent and some people began to chant Treetop Chicken's name. Guess it's time to go along the flow heh?[break][break]

The other masked contestant rose up, aiming to shoulder bash Balder before he pulls away. Under his mask, the Alolan Giant smirked. With a move like that, normally he would block it, or simply tank it and barely feel anything. But this was a show, a means to entertain the crowd. And after getting such a bad stage name, the guy deserved a bit of fame.[break][break]

As Alexei's shoulder lander around Balder's solar plexus, the man arched his body, as if the hit had been stronger then planned. Then, he began to stumble backwards, hands covering the area of impact, before dropping one knee on the ground. While some people gasped at the sight, it seemed like most of the crowd went wild from this sudden turn of events, cheering the challenger on. Amidst the crowd's cheer, Balder tried to say something to the other guy, hoping to not be heard.[break][break]

"Try going for my stomach next. We need to entertain the crowd a bit more." The man started standing up, albeit feigning some difficulty. It was as if the hit had really dealt lots of damage, as he was forcing his legs to shake slightly. He then took a defensive stance, similar to that of a Soutpaw Boxer covering his sides with his back hunched a bit. He was ready for more.
