At the sound of the gun, the prisoner looked at the rocket grunt in the back. "Shoot that gun and it'll be the last time your hands will hold anything. Bullets don't work against me." Empty threats from someone stuck behind the bars? Doubtful, considering how he shattered his chains out of anger, a bullet would only make it worse and give him the drive to rip the bars open.[break][break]

His attention reverted back to the young girl before him. A quiet nod after all her explanations, the view she had over the Silph man. "A sadly common tactic in terms of manipulation. To try and isolate someone, then acting as their sole ally. In the end, there's no good in his actions and desires. Like a true Silph..."[break][break]

Balder sighed. "Once more, I'm sorry you had to experience this. And I hope he'll pay the price soon..."

So the group that Rocket formed was just a means to an end. Everyone differed in opinion, but were united in some manner, and used it all to accomplish what they desired. And the fact he wanted to prevent another Kanto... Balder could respect that, especially with what happened to his own family.[break][break]

But idealistic as it may be, the way he was handling it currently seemed to not function towards his end goal. In what way would capturing him, the Avatar of Solgaleo, and granting a portion of his power to another rocket lead to the prevention of another Kanto? If anything, wouldn't spreading the crimes perpetrated by league be the best way to proceed?[break][break]

"Criminals are born because law depicts them as such. While League may be flawed, laws remain a necessity in a society, and criminals will always exist because some folks just want to see the world burn. But I do respect your ideals and how you wish to prevent another Kanto situation, and I agree that the current league is an issue though. Something must be done."

At the mentions of Silph, the man's eyes grew wide. The good news is that it wasn't Stormy. However, if there was a Silph out there that was murdering, and wasn't named Fernando, this was bad news. And the anger that welled within the man's heart was enough to allow him to shatter the chains binding him.[break][break]

"What the actual fuck is wrong with that dysfunctional family?! I knew there was shady stuff happening with some of them but for fuck sake, killing a kid's adoptive father and getting away with it... Do they think they can do anything because they're rich and Fernando's loaded with power over the League?!"[break][break]

The man took a deep breath, slowly calming himself. He then looked at the lady. "Sorry for the outburst. But it pisses me off so badly... I met and interacted with some silphs back when I was free. Except for one specific lady, I guess the rest of her family is broken and twisted..."

If there is one thing he never expected from Rocket, is to have people telling him the truth and be honest with their knowledge and experience. The complete opposite of League, where all he had found were lies and people plotting against each other (Except for a select few). The contrast is so intense, it's destabilizing...[break][break]

The Alolan sighed. A decision was needed now. "Frey Schwartz, my little brother... Freya Schwartz. Vidar Schwartz. Idis Schwartz. Sif Schwartz. That should be all of my family and relatives that were in Kanto as far as I am aware." Hopefully he doesn't come to regret this.[break][break]

"If you succeed in getting information about them, and that they're alive... I'll owe you one." He proceeded to sit against the jail bars, looking at the ceiling. "I don't agree with some of the stuff your gang did, but I do agree that League has to change. But what stuns me the most is how the few members I've met in here... Aren't so bad. The pregnant pause ended up giving birth to a few words of apologies (Is that seriously a real expression? LOL). But... What was he apologizing about? There was too many possibilities to cover with these words, and the fact the kidnapper was about to go into a nap wasn't helping.[break][break]

"Apologies are kind of useless at this level, wouldn't you say? What's done is done, I'm stuck here one way or another. What matters is how things go from now on and what you end up doing. And in your current state, it seems to summarize to nothing at all." Balder sighed and removed his relatively ruined jacket to drop it on Chu-E and cover him in case he falls asleep.[break][break]

"So, back to questioning a bit before you fall asleep. What can you tell me about Rocket? As it stands, I don't even know your goals. Only thing I'm aware of is that some, if not most of your group, have a tendency to murder." As he said these words, the image of his family flashed through his mind.

A... High-ranked executive? In Kantonian Rocket? Under Silas the crazy bastard? "What the actual fuck..." The man released the jail bar he was holding with his freed hand, revealing a crushed metal pipe. He was ignoring the miasma emitting from the underboss, not like he would fear it anyway. Why.... Why would he have joined them? And since he held a high rank, that must mean he was part of them for a long time. Was it ever since they arrived in Kanto? Or worse... Since Alola? Since Balder's birth or even before? There were too many unknowns in this story. One thing was certain though: If this was true, the man would have to look into it, investigate further. And to think he had believed Vidar was a good man that helped everyone in need all his life...[break][break]

An offer broke the man's train of thought. Was Merlino offering... to look into his family's state? "What's the catch?" Hard to believe a rocket executive like him would do this for free. What could he be seeking to gain from this?

A simple pose, yet efficient in the idea of it. Forming a Z to channel what could be called "Z-Energy". It's not a bad plan, however... "As your Master in this session, I'm applying my veto and denying this pose. The idea is great and easy to remember, however it's an instant giveaway of your intentions. Furthermore, you can definitely pull off a cooler pose then this."[break][break]

The man wasn't the kind to shut down attempts this quickly. However, he knew that the Master wouldn't allow such a pose to go through. He would try to promote something cooler and much more expressive, that displayed the strength of the style within, but that was not a priority for the Alolan.[break][break]

"Hold the fuck up. What did you just say?" Disregarding else that was just said, the Alolan focused on just one thing that the admin said: "If your father betrayed us". Vidar Schwartz, Balder's father, a rocket member? It had ben years, even a decade minimum, that the Alolan spoke to his progenitor, but he couldn't have become a member of this organization during that period, right?[break][break]

The chains rattled until they suddenly began to emit a cracking noise. Veins were pulsating upon Balder's arms as he was pulling with all his strength. Suddenly, one of the chains shattered, freeing one of his hands, which proceeded to grab the jail bars before him. One arm was all he could pull at the moment, but it was more then enough for now.[break][break]

"Tell me all that you know about Vidar Schwartz. From the very start. That bastard better have not joined your group and caused the rest of my family to die."

Rocket... saved her? Something doesn't add up. Weren't they the one that killed her parents? Unless... It's true that not every evil individuals were part of rocket, but folks willing to go that far for no reason? The alolan could only think that they would be part of rocket.[break][break]

Yet the young lady was proving him otherwise. Even worse, she confirmed seeing a league member murder her adoptive father before her eyes. One of the actions that earned Rocket's dark reputation, now being done by a league individual... Balder's face grew grim, thinking of the possible individuals who could've committed such atrocities.[break][break]

And Eris was pure, the purest child that could be found in this group so far. The white light in a wave of darkness. Although... his interactions with some other members were slowly making him reconsider the image of Rocket's darkness.[break][break]

"... Sorry for making you relive all of this. Are you able to tell me the name of that bastard who committed this murder? Killing someone, even if they are rocket members, remains a crime and should be punished accordingly. Also, with what you're telling me, I can tell you're a good person at heart. Trying to help make Rocket better from the inside is a courageous move. I just hope nothing happens to you as you try to do so." His gaze went to the grunt behind her, glaring as a warning to make sure nothing happens to her.

The attitude, the way he kept to secrecy... Complete annoyance. And when he replied to his experimentation comment..[break][break]

"The fucking difference between both of our situations is that you volunteered and can walk freely. I had none of that goddamn choice, was brought here against my will, and now this." He moved his restraints to show them and make them heard in the location. Comparing their situations was like saying the Moon was the same thing as the Sun. Similar yet completely different.[break][break]

Upon the comment of being interested in him, Balder looked at the man with a raised brow. "Sorry my guy but I don't share the same interest right now. You'd have to do better then this if you were trying to flirt and score." Might as well strike back a bit while possible.

League member... who molested and even got away with it? Balder's fist clenched in anger. He didn't like rocket for the fact they murdered, but what Chu-E was talking about was just as worse. And the fact that they got away with it... League was just as rotten as he knew it. A cleansing was definitely needed.[break][break]

Now came the intriguing part. The reasoning behind this power of his. Or rather, the parasite. His initial assessment was correct after all. The man had been possessed by something, and was prey to it. But the way he was describing it... It was like that entity was trying to take over.[break][break]

"Are you able to repeat what it says? You might not be able to understand what it says, but maybe by speaking it, you'll get a better understanding of it." And perhaps Balder would be able to determine the nature of it too through this method. The comment about not putting weird things in his mouth confused him however, but he didn't wish to dive deeper into that part.

So Melody was safe after all. Away from this hellish location. That's good. But if she helped her escape, why did the kid stay behind... This didn't make sense. Nonetheless, she left him the cookies and water before stepping back and getting comfortable. As she did, the man sighed and collected the offering, slowly eating the cookies and drinking the water.[break][break]

She proceeded to tell her story. How they tried to burn her parents and how she lost them. A sad tale for someone as old as her. Most likely vivid wounds too, judging from her age. "Sorry for your loss." Was all he could say on the spot. Yet he allowed her to finish and introduce herself.[break][break]

"Balder Schwartz is the name. Now... There is one thing I don't understand. Considering what you just said about your parents... Why are you working with their murderers? Sorry if this brings you some bad memories, but I just can't wrap my head around this."
