Dragon duels [mission]

"oh dear."

though she maintains the smile on her face, she still stares at the beautifly, who falters in the air after the attack. the sudden ice made contact with the butterfly, and the poor thing let out a soft squeal. in response, ayame pulls out another pokeball to assist the severely damaged butterfly. "morning sun." even if it was just a bit; she intended to mitigate the damage.

instead of flying, however, the beautifly roosted her wings on the ground, away from the hippowdon to take in some light - even when the sun wasn't up, so it didn't exactly do much.

in the meantime, she throws out the pokeball to reveal a tiny snom. it takes one look at the beautifly and began to, slowly, wriggle its way to try and help the bigger bug. unfortunately, it's movements were slow as a snail.

so instead, ayame points to the two pokemon. "powder snow." she commands. the snom heeds the order, and begins to release a chilly air at the ground hippo and the infatuated dino.

beautifly was hit by ice fang! she's severely damaged.
beautifly used morning sun! it's not very effective..
ayame sends out snom! snom uses powder snow!

"oh my."

she says, approaching the garden and glancing at the sunflora. "excuse me?" she raises her voice, approaching the sunflora and careful of her trees. rather, she crouches by the edge of the soil, holding an arm out with a smile. "i'm glad to see that you're fond of my garden~" she chimes, tilting her head slightly.

"but would you kindly step out? your dance is beautiful, but these trees are still babies. they might get hurt." she tries to explain to the sunflower pokemon. although it takes a bit for her to understand, she began to slowly step out of the garden, although slightly disappointed that she could no longer prance around and worship the beautiful weather. ayame giggles.

she raises her hand to gently pat the top of the flower pokemon's head. "if you'd like a nice flower patch, there's one very close by to my gym. why don't you come along, and i can show you?" she asks, slowly getting up and holding her hand for the sunflora to take.

at the sound of more flora, the grass pokemon lights up and chimes. "before we go, though.." she says, motioning to the garden "why don't you help me take care of the babies? I'm sure they love your dance, but right now, they need nice, quiet, and relax to grow up big and plentiful~"

with that, she grabbed the pail and began to help with the sunflora to tend to the berry trees.

and with that, a sigh of relief escapes her lips. for the meantime, that is. "wonderful work." she praises the two pokemon. the lurantis brushes the sand off herself, snuffing at the dirt. meanwhile, the beautifly droops, slightly, from the pain of the poison powder. thankfully, the damage sustained by petal blizzard was minor, and giga drain replenished a good amount of health. enough for the little one to keep going, she assumes.

"suiren, attract." she says. the beautifly recovers, fluttering into the air with a cry before letting out a flurry of hearts, aiming and hoping to infatuate the steel bird.

in the meantime, she takes a glance at the sun overhead. with a glance to her lurantis, she nods her head. "and you, growth." she says, smiling to the mantis-like grass pokemon. her body glows with a soft green, restoring attack power that was lost to intimidate while also raising her special attack.

beautifly uses attract on corviknight! attacks rolling under 50 will fail!
beautifly takes damage from poison!
lurantis uses growth! special attack rose! attack returns to normal!

she, like her pokemon, cringe at the pain. rather, she cringes slightly at the observed pain. she could only imagine how the sandstorm would be hurting the two bug pokemon, in addition to the poison and the rockslide. Both pokemon are clobbered under the force of it, but she takes a deep breath while bracing herself or the now poisonous sandstorm. with a glance, she smiles. "suiren, you'll be okay." she says. couldn't say the same about the volcarona, though.

nevertheless, she takes a deep breath. her beautifly and volcarona fall to the ground, momentarily, to try and recollect themselves despite it. her volcarona, unfortunately, feeling the most of the pain between them. enough so, for the bug to fall to the ground. the sandstorm, on top of poison powder, did a hefty amount.

she recalls volcarona, then waving to the beautifly. "giga drain." she sighs, pointing to the tyranitar. at the same time, she pulls out a second pokeball and smiles. "next up~" she chimes. a lurantis pops into the battlefield, crying out and hiding the lower half of her face behind one of the scythes for arms. fortunately, the poison powder had no effect. as the beautifly reached out and sped towards the tyrantiar, riding the winds to boost herself.

"petal blizzard." she commands. the lurantis woul dance where she stood, conjuring up the powerful grass attack with a powerful wind. this one, however, cuts through the raging sandstorm with petals to slice the air, and at all three pokemon.

volcarona and beautifly are severely wounded by rock slide! rolling 30 or below will activate flame body to burn tyranitar.

beautifly uses giga drain on tyranitar!
beautifly is poisoned + buffeted by sandstorm!
volcarona fainted! (poison + sand + rockslide)
ayame sends out lurantis!
lurantis is unaffected by poison powder...
lurantis uses petal blizzard!
petal blizzard isn't very effective against beautifly...

the haxorus lets out a loud cry after the icicle crash is successful. he falls to one knee, groaning from the ice attack. it did a good amount of damage. [break][break]

he was gravely injured, but he wasn't done yet. taking a glance at the cave, he uses one arm to launch a dragon claw at the rocks and rubble, wth the intention to launch it towards the trainer. a good size of rock, approximately the size of her head if not an inch or two small. in addition, he uses his tail in an attempt to slap at the weavile to throw it off.

"oh my."

she says, watching from her position on the dark field. nevertheless, she smiles and glances to the volcarona who took the poison powder face first, then sneezing and beginning to droop in the air from the poison damage that was going to slowly eat at it. the beautiflyon the other hand, cautiously glances at the fire pokemon, then back at the trainer.

ayame's first instinct was to take a gander at the arcanine. indeed, it would cause the largest problem to her and her pokemon - solely because of its typing. she watches as the purple pollen began to settle around and spread, then a smile comes to her face. "natsu, whirlwind on the arcanine." it complies, opting to flap the sunny, radiant wings to conjure a wind at the fire pokemon. additionally, the breeze carries the poison powder that was around it - intending to return the remainder to the opposing team.

with another glance to her beautifly, motioning to the vileplume. "suiren, help natsu with silver wind~" she chimes. the beautifly's wings begin to glow, flapping her wings to release a series of sparkling crescents at the vileplume.

beautily uses silver wind on vileplume! rolling for additional effect; lower than 10 is successful.

volcarona uses whirlwind on arcanine! attempting to blow remaining poison powder back to the enemy. has no effect on vileplume.

she stares at the pokeball as it bounces back to her, and she narrows her eyes, slightly. that's right; it wouldn't stay in there and quietly accept it.

ayame tries to slowly approach the pokemon, before crouching a bit to get closer. the vulpix coils backwards - understandable, considering that ayame just tried to imprison it in a pokeball. yet even then, she maintained a small smile while holding a finger to her lips. "... i'm sorry for startling you." her voice is hushed, trying to soothe the wary pokemon.

in an attempt to make peace, she pulls a berry that she harvested from her garden, and holds it out to the vulpix with a reassuring smile. the petite fox pokemon begins to cautiously approach, before taking a bite of the berry on the ground. it continued to eat it, until it was munching and finishing it up quickly. it gives ayame an expectant gaze.

"... are you hungry?~" she asks, pulling out another berry and holding it out to it. "poor thing.. do the other pokemon take the food from you?" she asks. though there's no response, ayame takes the silent crunching and munching from the vulpix as a response. mulling this over, she pulls the pokeball of her frosmoth out to let it greet the ice fox.

the frosmoth stares at the vulpix for a bit, before hovering down by it. the two of them seemed to communicate for a while, then her frosmoth blew a soft, colder breeze at the vulpix in a playful manner. she giggles at the image.

"... I can give you more food if you come with us~" she says, pulling another pokeball out. the vulpix gives another stare, and ultimately sat themselves down as ayame tosses the pokeball at it again.

she blows a raspberry at the yanma, dismissing the irritation on his face. god, the buzzing was so irritating.

"i didn't know they were your berries." she huffs, turning her craned neck away from the rightfully angered dragonfly. "what are you gonna do? aggressively flap your wings at me?" she groans, softly. it was a bad idea to keep going? it was a horrible idea, but she was already deep down the rabbit hole.

"if you're that angry about it, then go and get some more from the caretaker or ask your trainer for more!" the rock dino gently stomps her front foot into the ground.

she takes another breath of frigid air before nuzzling back into the fire bug's carapace. walking through, she sees a tiny little, alolan vulpix curled up by a snowy bush. with a small smile on her face, she crouches down to get a better look.

... aw. it was actually kind of cute. though, cute didn't necessarily mean that it softened her heart, it was pretty close. "aren't you a darling?" she asks, tilting her head with a soft smile on her face.

yes, she very much would like it. maybe it can play with yuki for a while, too. that thought in her mind, she tosses a safari ball at it.
