What with the way they made so much noise they were literally scaring the fish away!

“You both might want to keep it down!” she called to the boisterous two as she cast her fishing line out once more.

Was she going to quit?

Was she going crazy?

Maybe, slightly, yes.

Anyway, at least she’d made her way over to the diving point where her Swampert was waiting, chewing on something she didn’t care to find out whatever it was as she went for another quick dip in the brine.

Just how many was too ‘many’?

Izumi pondered on the legality of everything because… well, here she was again.

Trying to land the fucking Magikarp Splash and prove that she was tenacious and determined not to lose face.

Especially not in front of the kids and her husband!

Sadly, some of the ladies that went before her already went for the ‘emerging from the ocean’ trope; which was part of what she had planned.

But then—

What if she did it… in reverse?

After the truly shocking display of forty Wailord simultaneously inundating the sands of the ‘catwalk’ with a torrential wave of water meant that she had to act fast, because such water displacement would mean—

Anyway.

She’d requested for nothing but a towel robe which she wrapped around herself—and once the sands were cleared away enough for the next contestant, she hit the ‘catwalk’, letting her feet be soaked by the lapping waves of the surf.



As the cameras went off, she slowly, but surely took off the robe to reveal her sunkissed glory—never mind if someone had already put a ring on it! (Hi, Josh Dragomir.)

Right at the ‘center’ of the beach, she slung the entire towel robe off and gave a twirl, showing everyone her back—before walking towards the surf, Momiji the Gardevoir accompanying her like a regal retinue.

Surely someone would forgive a ‘goddess of the sea’ for coming up to grace the mortal world with her presence as she turned around approximately knee-deep in the surf, and flashed a snarky wink before diving away into the water.

At the same time, her Gardevoir turned around and giggled at everyone, one last time, before disappearing from sight with a well-timed Teleport at the same time Izumi took her leave.

And thus, was her exit.

Another day, another ride out on the waves.

At least she’d gone ridiculously early in the morning this time—to spare herself the shrieking laughter of her kids (and her husband) with the inevitable wipeout again at the Magikarp Splash.

She had no idea who said that, but well, this was her trying her damndest hardest!
