Coming up with nothing on his end, Rex continued brazingly forward, barely hearing what his partner said except that she had found nothing. "Nothing here either, nothing they wanted others to know, I guess." There was no announcement of a new exhibit or the like, but that didn't mean anything. It could mean that there was something they were preparing for. The ad he had received as the mission wouldn't lie, there had to be something being prepared. [break][break]

Even with gloves on, Rex hesitated on opening any doors, testing briefly if they were open as he passed. Past the statues, one gave away, perhaps forgotten during closing, and Rex peered in, already ready to rush in or move on in a few seconds. [break][break]

Rex felt himself start to sneer, a light-hearted laugh covering up his own expression. He could wonder why the pretty ones always had to be so overly confident but, in all seriousness, if he wondered, her just end up back at himself. Cause they deserved it. Still made it unpleasant to be in the firing zone of such words. [break][break]

Why I'm late? "Cause I don't want to fly in like a badass and be caught on every camera in a mile." He grumbled, shrugging his shoulders, "I'm here, aren't I? Be grateful, I'm gonna find something real damn good in there in a minute." And he intended it to be a minute, however long it took for him to get a good look at the Pokemon there. He thought he had a good eye for them. Material? He could guess if it was shiny, it was expensive, but that was about it? Anything to do with something like One, or strength? He'd find it, given proper motivation...and pride was a pretty good one, for a few minutes here anyway. [break][break]

He only hesitated ling enough for Katerine to step into the portal first, holding his breath and jumping in. He tilted his head at the drawers, hissing a breath through his teeth, "Er, you have fun with that, I'm gonna check all the shit here out. Scream if you need something." With those words, he started to look for anything obvious. A new poster, a sign, some water, anything. If there was something special in the museum recently, there was no way they wouldn't want people being guided towards, money seemed real easy to make that way! [break][break]

Rex hadn't asked what happened to Two, in fact he had taken her without a word before silently freaking out over the new bright red beast, but he was tempted to go back and ask what kind of fuck up mixed up Two and another Pokemon. Still, without a doubt, this was Two. The same stoic beast that regarded him blankly, then extended its claws when prey was nearby. Two was Two, and maybe he just needed a mission to get used to this new look she had going...it was kinda cool. [break][break]

Lo and behold, he was needed. It arrived the usual way, some letter thrown under his door that he had One swallow afterwards...he didn't think it was necessary, the letter really just had an ad for something special being displayed in the museum, he assumed that was the target of this mission, but he didn't know, now did he? Besides, One seemed to like their make-shift "shredding" process. [break][break]

He hides his identity with a mask as well, a pink gas mask that looks more like the snout of some prehistoric beast than a mask and, surprisingly, arrives in a logical way. Stealing was his "thing" after all, behind hurting shit. A shadowy shape landed several streets away from the museum and...walked. He kept to the shadows and alleyways, appearing for all the world some local thug or rebellious team, and arrived soon enough. [break][break]

Already over this, better not be that hard to steal. [break][break]

He already assumed he wouldn't be alone and it appeared he was right. He tilted his head at a woman near the entrance and adjusts his mask some more. If it was so necessary they both wore masks, he didn't feel like ruining the mystery of this partner of his. Made the whole thing more exciting, now didn't it? "Beat me to the punch here, huh? You somethin' special or somethin'?"

Three snorted, confusingly shaking its head as dull pain scratched across its head. Three didn't stay distracted long, unless the pain broke its bones or insides, it didn't matter until Three fell. [break][break]

"Don't let him get you, smash him!" Rex pointed forward, perhaps being the part of the order Three actually understood and it charged, spinning briefly before ramming its head into the Dragon Claw. Head Smash and the scratches and the Dragon Claw would hurt...but Rex only hoped the Head Smash would hurt the Dragon way more.

"Pfft, they don't know a good show, do they? You're a beauty, aren't ya, One?" Rex drawled lazily, him and his partner lounging in the shadows where neither the winners or audience were looking. One chattered back in what Rex assumed was sone kind of agreement, getting a smile from its trainer. The smile froze on his face as the ribbons were distributed, a quality he was happy he possessed, made him look happy and shit while he and One got nothing out of this farce. Guess everyone likes a damn cute seal over its betters. Some beauty contest. [break][break]

He found himself giving a wave towards @nova though, perhaps the only person up there he actually thought deserved it, it was a dragon after all. She tried with that awesome thing, didn't get lucky with a cute or pretty Pokemon and won, like he should have...not that he tried, did he? [break][break]

Under all those eyes, how great would it be, to be fawned over like that?

Call Rex what you will, but he was good at seeing things that were going on. In this case, he noticed an odd little trend. People loved using ice sculptures! For a final act, how good would it be to one-up them all? They could do it? Who beat One, after all? [break][break]

Perhaps it was just his imagination, but he liked to think the audience was awaiting something great, so he gave it. [break][break]

Again, One entered with his fangs flashing, much like he began. Ice Fang grew once more, and flashed with electric energy. A Thunder Fang conducted easily through the attack, giving it gleaming lights and an electric current. One found one more aspect today as well, it made it really easy to seperate the ice from his jaws. After it had grown a sufficient amount, it split away, rattling to the ground, intimidating jaws of ice that One circled around as if to inspect. [break][break]

Next was Ancientpower, popping into life in front of the prehistoric beast, who grasped it and whirled into the air, a swift Sky Drop to place it neatly in front of the jaws of ice. [break][break]

The true show was about to begin. The familiar glow of Hyper Beam built in One's maw, building to a certain point, smaller than before, and aiming at the back of the jaws. Perhaps it was obvious, but the resulting attack would still looks amazing. The heated beam exploded outwards, just controlled enough to not destroy the jaws, while still obliterating the Ancientpower in a glittering explosion. [break][break]

Rex waved breathlessly at One, a cue to just finish it. One heaved forward and tacked into the ice jaws, Giga Impact eliminating all evidence that the show had even happened. A spectacular end that he didn't know if anyone but One and him could do. [break][break]

@nova 's performance was...terrifying. Rex swallowed with difficulty, patting One on the shoulder and whispering to it, "W-we gotta do something like that, don't we? Something hard to do." It didn't matter it looked really difficult and might hurt, if someone could do it, he could, and would do better. [break][break]

Rex's hands shook slightly as they made their way on stage, him seated safety on One's back...well, safe for as long as they weren't going to do their act. He could only hope One actually understood, and wouldn't mess up. "Let's go." He left the rest unsaid, Don't you dare crash. [break][break]

One leapt forward, already building incredible speed as it ran straight across the stage, a purplish energy crackling on its skin as it approached the root blocking the middle of the stage. Suddenly, One leapt, trying to clear most of the root except for the claws. Giga Impact dissipated even with the little tap, exploding outwards in a flash of light. Flapping to regain balance, a move that hopefully didn't appear a mistake, One continued on the spectacular speed, making a tight turn as it whipped towards the root once more. Another Giga Impact started to build up, wavering around One's body like a fog, and making another flashing explosion from a single tap. [break][break]

One more time. One circled around, rising off the ground and hanging in the air just a moment. A sudden roar shook the air, drawing all attention as One dropped out of the sky, a Giga Impact looking ready to destroy swirling around its body. Perhaps it would have slammed right into the stage, had Rex not been on its back. The impact may be too much on a ground that might not give way. At the last moment, One pulled up, but the energy kept going. The purplish energy swept across the ground like a wave, pushing and rumbling against the ground as if trying to break through. Rex watched with a devilish grin. That was pretty hard to do for One, and a difficult act that looked like a fight? It sure looked good from up here...he only hoped nobody whined about nearly breaking the stage. [break][break]

He was sweating, didn't anybody understand that these lights were hot? Like, really, hot? Rex was only lucky he had asked for the lights to fall for this portion. Even if this sucked, One's attacks didn't exactly "fade", nobody could see the toll this was taking on the newbie. [break][break]

@nova' smile was noted, but he didn't move to give a smirk back, knowing well enough that they couldn't be known yo know each other. Her smile would be just that, a little bit of support between competitors. Now if only One got the memo. Recognizing her scent as someone Rex interacted with, One trembled where he stood, a lack of discipline Rex hoped all these idiots didn't see. Besides, it was show time. [break][break]

Up on One's back, having whispered instructions and a warning to aim anywhere but people, Rex's version of "fading beauty" got started...with a bang. Hyper Beam exploded outwards, sweeping across the stage, just low enough that it impacted the ground in a blast of light that was comparable, if not larger, than the tree's glow. One flapped and, even in the throes of a Hyper Beam, managed to take off the stage, taking a few seconds to intensify the Hyper Beam. Rex cluched the fossil's horns, a sort of support before he could tell the attack could go on no longer. "Now!" He hissed. [break][break]

One started to close his jaws, a simple act that changed the act entirely. Only his Rock Head kept the act from outright harming the beast, but it still shook in strain, barely keeping in the air. The closing space and his teeth turned the spectacular beam smaller, spiraling out like multiple spotlights for a number of seconds, the Hyper Beam starting to fade...and gone. The moment was over, and One couldn't do it again. With all honesty, the Hyper Beam was just as hot as the spotlight, Rex felt no better. [break][break]

At least One shared his exhaustion, gliding down in the darkness and waddling off stage just in time to pant and rest until the next round. [break][break]

Even Rex could see the attack was going to hurt. He didn't even try to order Three to dodge, though, instead pointing down and barking, "Down!" Three responded instantly, crouching low and bracing itself. The attack hit squarely, pushing the little dino back some, but not throwing it off any balance, "Run, now!" [break][break]

Even with such a hit on its body, the Cranidos moved. Taking hits was just a part of its life, and Rex was telling it to run, so it ran. "Zen Headbutt it! Go low!" Rex's face was twisted in a snarling smile, one that only grew as Three's head glowed a blue light of concentration, and it shrieked, aiming for the dragon's legs in a sweeping headbutt.
