A cloud of Luvdisc fled as Two entered their hiding place, scattering as she and the human clinging to her back irritatingly waved them away from them. The Ice Beam wasn't coming, and he pressed encouragingly on Two's shoulders, bidding her outside with a roar, claws raised, it was sure to be an epic clash...only for his partner to catch the monster!

"Whaaaaat!?"

Communication was muted down here, but one could absolutely hear the despairing voice cry out, him and his Pokemon echoing each other as they whipped their head's at the one, the only, ruiner!

"Why'd you do that!? We were just getting started!" Two's claws retreated and extended in terrible energy as Rex couldn't stop, "C'mon! I'm the muscle, couldn't you have let me do some of my job? Hell, I didn't know you could catch that thing!" His ranting started to trail off near the end, and he buried the front of his helmet in his hands.

"It would have been amazing to catch!"

"No way I'm going out like that!" Rex chattered, a near panicked look in his eyes, recovering only with a whooped boast, "That happens, and Two'll cut us out! Ain't that right, Two?" A hiss sounded from the prehistoric beast, who pulled herself over into the sea, a loud splash rippling across the water as she clumsily flopped in.

His helmet went on, and he leaned over the edge, "Hope something down there is brave enough to show its face!" It was only ironic, both wanted something to appear before them, but while "Patrick" preferred the discovery of it all, Rex ached to find out how tough some unknown down there was.

Two caught him as he dove, and the water closed over them. In a few seconds, there was no evidence something had jumped in the first place.

Maybe after one exciting romp on the sea floor, Rex couldn't stay away, and here he is once more. For once, he is actually ready to go, and his Pokemon reflects him. Two stares over the railing with eyes that never blink, simply imagining what prey was down there sending her trembling.

"Gotcha, Pat, call me Rex, T-rex, bastard, whatever gets my attention fastest." Rex rambled on and on, taking the offered hand in an obnoxiously quick handshake before leaning against Two and getting dizzy at the depths. He was completely selfish as well, only hoping there was some unimaginable force down there preying on the Luvdisc. Another fight like that, one challenge after another as proof of strength.

"What do you think's down there? Huntail? Tentacruel? Maybe something like Two." He mumbled, the idea of any vicious monster getting outrageously strong was an intoxicating thought. Hopefully his partner here was of similar mind, he was doing this again, after all!

What in God's not-so-green earth was that? For the first time in a long time, Rex was rendered speechless, only saved as Two used Protect and shielded his body from the chilling freeze. A terror ran through him, and then evolved into a fury, the only way he knew to avoid freezing up. Even without Marcle's words, he slapped Two on the shoulder and snarled, "One challenge after another, just what we wanted, huh? Beat her up!" Two's eye rolled back, it was blindly wild, reflected in Rex's own...of course she'd obey.

"Blast it, blast it! Rock Blast!" He howled madly, and Two swam out with a bellow, getting in plain sight of the monster, rocky spikes forming between her claws. A moment of lucidity hit Rex as its eye glared at him, Its eyes were so blue."

And Two fired.

The Rock Blast cracked through one of the ice that swirled around the Mega Lapras, and thudded against one of its fins. From here, there was no obvious damage besides a bruise...they had been too far. Still, the monster reacted and turned its head towards Two, blasting another Ice Beam towards the duo. In desperation, Two shot towards the Luvdisc's hiding spot. Rex could only hope his partner really meant it when he said he'd cover him.

Ah, who was he kidding? Of course the only one he could rely on was Two...

Rex knelt next to Three, tapping it with its Pokeball and returning it into secure stasis. He glanced over at the Pikachu's trainer, staring hard for a long moment...and beamed.

That was a face that wasn't that hard to remember.

"Aww, he's taking harder hits, it's why his head's so thick!" Rex lied on the tip of his tongue, words fleeting as water, "We'll be ready whenever you are, it'll a fight totally different from this one!" First of all, I'll be winning. He entertained the thought of saying such a thing, but kept his mouth shut.

"Looking forward to seeing ya around!"

A thidding of hands and feet thundered rhythmically around the cage, the blood-thirsty audience sensing the end of the clash as the Pikach shot forward like a lightning bolt.

Three charged too, pushing off the ground with one leg as its rocky head seemed to mold even harder than before, "Head Smash!" Rex called at the moment of impact, and what an impact it was. For a brief moment, the two were too bright to look at with the naked eye, and an odd popping noise signaled the little Cranidos shooting backwards, blackened skin falling off like rubble. The cage bent dangerously on impact, and deposited the fighter on the ground.

Three didn't get back up.

"Awww, dammit. Guess you beat him more in just style, huh, rockstar?" Rex called playfully, pressing up against the warming metal to try and see his Pokemon's superior. To see, so he'd remember next time.

Three uses Head Smash! Three is unable to battle!

The Luvdisc shrinked back as two Pokemon and humans arrived, chittering to each other as they pressed close to each other. If this was how they reacted, it was a possibility that they freaked out over a passing predator. What boring Pokemon.

He only caught the shadow out of the corner of his eyes, but Two whirled in the water, claws extending as far as she could. "Uh-oh...we're jinxed." Rex growled at Marcel, hurriedly beckoning him, "She can take a hit, so get close to us! She'll take the first attack!" His voice muffled terribly, but his gravity was clear, Two's head whipped to and fro as something clearly drew near.

Three was a tough Pokemon, and its rock-type body gave it some resistances to the electric attacks, but the damage was starting to build. The Thunder ripped into the little dino, who stood stock-still and simply took the attack, trembling as it took a shuddering breath.

The rippling chains of electricity around its paralyzed leg suddenly intensified, and Three fell to its knee, looking unable to rise in a crucial moment. Rex clicked his tongue as his mind raced, and he came up with a quick idea, thrashing the cage until Three's eye rolled over to look at Rex. "Focus Energy!"

While the little dino couldn't move, an orange energy threaded around its head as it prepared for another attack.

Three uses Focus Energy!

For all his boasting, Rex hesitated on the final step, staring down at the water that felt ready to eat him alive and seeming ready to get out of this, and then Two growled and made to grab his foot, and the T-rex was back. "I gotcha, catch me, girl." He snapped back into himself, and slid on his mask, feeling far better with his face covered.

Two obeyed quickly, letting him grab onto her armoring before plunging into the deep waters. As if his hesitation hadn't happened, Rex gave a thumbs up towards his partner as they plunged down and down.

There was no dodging the Wild Charge, even Three knew that. Instead, Three steadied its good leg and screwed his eyes shut, head forward like it was challenging another Cranidos. The impact was even comparable.

Three seemed to fall back, lightning crackling over its body, then suddenly plunged forward. An Assurance, not even ordered by Rex. The attack was pure instinct, as far as Three knew, when another Cranidos charged it, it was also hurt. Thus, it had to make sure of the damage, hence, Assurance.

With the crackling lights and lightning pouring from the cage, the crowd cheered, the feisty Pikachu and determined Cranidos clearly a great show. Needless to say, the two had spiced things up with a neck to neck battle like this.

Three uses Assurance!

Rex knew where Pokemon mostly lived, even if they distrusted people, they tended to find refuge in abandoned buildings nearby. It was there he found the most adorable little mice ever, a gaggle of Pichu! His face brightened considerably, but quickly turned into a grimace as none made a move to defend each other, just huddling together...and if there was anything that started to set him off, it was that! His eyes rolled, and he scoffed down at them, "C'mon...and I thought I was weak, Fury Cutter."

As soon as the words left his mouth, Two sprung forward...but didn't get far.

A bolt of lightning struck Two in the side, blasting her away from the nest, and in the few seconds Rex turned to the newcomers, the Pichu were gone, disappearing from sight. Emerging from a corridor, the Raichu growled and waved her crackling tail, discharging electricity from her body in great, threatening arcs.

"Oh? You're a scrappy one...want to beat us, huh? Beat us down, huh?" The Raichu locked eyes with him, narrowing into black lines, and launched into a Nuzzle towards the human. He didn't move to defend himself, didn't have to, cause Two was suddenly there despite the damage, slashing multiple Fury Cutters until the Raichu went on the defensive, trying to dart away with Agility. "Hold it for me!" Rex snarled, taking out a Pokeball for his newest interest.

A squeal escaped the Raichu as Crush Claw landed, holding her by the tail as she tried to thrash away. "Let's see...how do you like Four as a name!?" Rex yelled as the Pokeball soared and collided with the Raichu's flank.
