The scatterbug was success and the woman cheered. Dancing around and giggling all the while. “We did it,” she shouted, plucking the ball off the ground and cuddling the ball, “Welcome to the team. We are going to have so much fun together.” With a satisfied sigh, she put the ball in her back and face her company. Eleanor was grinning ear to ear, eager to start playing with her new friend. “I think I already have a name and everything Rue.” The Sylveon meowed and danced in place. “I know Rue.” As they did their little celebration, something rusted in the background.

They both freeze, an uneasy feeling washed over her. “H…Hello? Is someone there?” Eleanor turned to face the monster, only to meet a gastly face to face. The wild pokemon snickered darkly, giving the woman a mean look. The woman screamed on the top of her lungs, turning away and fleeing from the scary ghost. It was only after several minutes of running did the pink haired trainer finally got running, huffing and puffing from the amount of exercise she just did. “What was that Rue?” Ely questioned the cat as she too was out of breath, “let’s hope we don’t run into that again.” Taking a moment to catch their breath, they continued their search in the safari zone for another pokemon.

“OH MY GOD RUE!” The woman screamed eagerly, eye wide with disbelief. “Do… do you see what I see Rue?” At first, Eleanor couldn’t believe her eyes. She stopped and stared for a while, watching the scatterbug as it napped on the side of the tree. Despite her scream of excitement earlier, it appeared it didn’t bother the sleeping bug. Carefully, the woman tip toed closer to the pokemon. Any movement it made, she froze scared that she might make it flee. And when she was close enough, she couldn’t help the giggled that escaped her.

The wild pokemon opened its eyes and turned to look at her. Panic filled her, scrabbling to reach into her pocket to pull out the special ball needed to capture these pokemon. Of course, in her nervousness made her drop the ball a few times. But when she finally had it and looked up to catch it, the scatterubg moved. She frowned, eyes started to fill with liquid. But suddenly, something tickled her leg. She almost screamed, but looked down to see the bug at her feet. Still scared it might flee, she chucked the ball at it. The ball sucked in the creature in and Eleanor hoped she finally catch the pokemon she wanted.

With her spirits high and her mood even higher, Ely continued her search for the pokemon she wanted. After seeing that cutie little ice cube penguin and it’s adorable waddle, it brought her overall marale up. “Oh look Rue,” the woman pointed with to a blue snake looking pokemon as they continued to roam the safari zone, “There is another pokemon. Let’s go say hi!” Without a second thought behind her actions, she ran towards the pokemon in hopes to meet the it. When the woman got close, the dratini was not as happy as she was.

The sight of the trainer made the wild pokemon freeze. It’s eyes wide with panic. But before the woman could get took close, the little dragon turned the other way and suddenly disappeared within seconds. Eleanor stopped in her tracks and blinked. “Did you see that Rue? That little dragon was fast!” Rue meowed, grabbing her hand with one of her ribbons. “I guess it was shy,” she shrugged, lightly bothered but tried not to let it get to her, “Let’s keep looking. We don’t have all day.”

The pinked haired woman felt down and sat at the waters edge for almost a half hour pouting. A long over exaggerated sigh expelled from her, sapphire eyes stared at her reflection in the water. It wasn’t until something disturbed her reflection that the woman let her eyes look up. And when she did, a pokemon she never seen before was in front of her. Her eyes widened at the sight of penguin looking pokemon. “Whoah,” she whispered, pulling out her phone, “What are you?” Polished fingernails franticly clicked on the screens surface, typing up a description to find out. After a minute or two, she found her answer. “Oh,” she exclaimed with excitement, “So you’re the pokemon they call Eiscue.” The woman stood, giving the pokemon a wave and a friendly grin.

The ice type pokemon’s big ice cube head titled to the side, wattling closer to the human. This got the woman even more excited. “Oh my GOD! Look at that waddle.” Bring her hands to her mouth to prevent her from squealing, she giggled. “You are so adorable.” The wild pokemon got closer, curious about this human. “I wish you were pink so I can catch you.” Reaching her hand out, both nervous and eager. “Can… Can I touch your head?” The pokemon didn’t move and she assumed that was a okay. And when her fingertip touched the ice cube, she retracted as quickly. “That’s so cold.” She giggled again. “Tell you what, if I don’t find anything else before leaving. I’ll come back to catch you. You are just too cute.” Giggling again, the woman turned to her sylveon. “Let’s go. I wanna find some pokemon to catch.”

It had been a few hours sense they came across another pokemon. In fact, the pair decided to take a quick break near a small pound near the center of the safari zone. Eleanor let out a long sigh, her spirit already started to dim with no luck. Her gaze shifted to her Sylveon, sadness in her eyes. “Maybe pokemon just don’t like me anymore,” the woman mumbled as she picked up a stick off the ground and swirled it in the water, “I mean I am nice, right?” She looked to the Sylveon, the creature meowed. “Yeah I know Rue but its like…” The woman let out a long sigh, pouty face and all. Even as a tentacool came to the surface to investigate the disturbance in the water surface, she didn’t acknowledge it. Eleanor completely ignored it. She was down.

It didn’t take long into the safari zone for Eleanor to run into a pokemon. Her eyes widen with excitement as the little yellow pokemon hopped out of the tall grass to greet her. Grinning, the young woman bend over at the waist and waved at the sunkern. “Hello Sunkern,” the woman greeted with a friendly wave as it stared at her, “How are you today?” The wild pokemon froze, blankly staring at the human. Ely frowned, concern crossed her face. “Are you okay?” The wild pokemon didn’t move. Feeling like the pokemon might be sick, the woman extended her hand to touch the poor pokemon.

But as her hand reached out to touch the creature, the little grass type panicked. It let out a frighten screen and fled, disappearing before Eleanor could even register what happened. Pouting even more, she turned to her Sylveon. “Why is everything doing that lately Rue?” She asked her pokemon, feeling as though maybe something was wrong with her face or something, “If there something on my face?” Rue nodded, rubbing her ribbon on the side of her face before letting out a cute meow. “Are you sure?” She meowed again. A smile spread across her face once more, turning to venture into the safari zone some more. “Alright. Let’s keep looking then.”

This was the pinked haired woman’s first time in the safari zone. And, it clearly shows. After listening carefully to the instructions from the person at the desk, the woman snacked her special safari balls and darted out into the wilderness of the safari.

Grinning ear from ear, the young trainer turned to her Sylveon with excitement. “Are you excited Rue?” The Sylveon gave her a sweet meow, bounding back and forth in her own show of excitement. “I don’t even know what we should catch first.” Eleanor looked down at her smart phone, large sapphire orbs flickered over the pictures. “I would really like to catch at least two scatterbugs and if we get lucky, a shiny dratini. You know, because its pink. OH OH! And maybe that one too, it looks pink when shiny too!” The sylveon meow again before she pushed her head into the small of her back, indicating she wanted to do. “Okay Okay,” she giggled as she shoved her phone into her pocket, “Let’s go Rue!”

Several hours have passed as they practiced their routine over and over again. Eleanor wanted to routine to be second nature, able to get each and every move correct to a tee. It was only when the sun was about to set when the woman finally took a break. “Alright team,” the young coordinator sighed, whipping the sweat from her brow as she grinned, “that was good practice today.” Her large sapphire eyes flickered from her tired pair, to the rest of her crew just chillin. “It’s time to relax a little more before we head home.” With that, the woman ran towards the ocean only for something to startle her. She screamed as she ran back towards the shore, blood pumping.

When she turned back, a scary carvanha chapped on the water edge. “Get it Primerose before it bites me.” The roselia strolled up to the crazy water pokemon, flower pointed at hit as it send razor sharp flowers right at his face. The fish slashed about, thrashing like crazy. “Here,” Eleanor offered as she fumbled over to herself to bing out a pokball, “I’ll check it so it does hurt itself or others.” With a mild squeal, she tossed the ball in hopes it hits its mark. And lucky for her, it did. The ball sucked the crazy creature in and locked in place. Her heart raced as she waited, hoping she caught it and could maybe sell it or something. After several minutes, the ball stopped moving and she could only assume it was good. “Come you guys,” the woman told her crew as she plucked the ball off the shore, “let’s go. I want to get ride of this guy before he hurts people.”

The egg pokemon was up next. She waddled in front of her new trainer and team. And after a few minutes of deciding what to do, the chansey started her own performance. One by one, showing off her moves to the human in hopes she likes them. And when she was don’t, a smile spread across her face when she stood. Eleanor clapped joyously. “Those were great Rowena,” the young woman praised the pokemon as she skipped up to her, her delicate hands rested on the chantey’s shoulder, “We are going to win the next contest for sure.” The pink pokemon bounced in place, happy to know her trainer wanted her.

With that out of the way, Eleanor motioned for her to join the rest as she started to pace back and forth. Deep in thought, the woman tried to think of a routine she could do. After several minutes of walking back and forth, the woman stopped and clasped her hands together. “Alright,” she announced to the group, “I am an idea. Although I’m not sure what the rules are going to be, I’m going to guess it will be two pokemon the first round and one the last round. That’s what they are normal.” Long painted nail pointed to the Sylveon and the Mr Mime. “You and You will be partners and we will come up with a great performance.” Gaze flickered over the others. “I want you guys to be our audience and tell us how we do okay.”

At the moment, the woman spotted a poliwag in the distance. “Hey Poliwag!” The woman shouted over the roar of the waves crashing against the shore, “Wanna help us?” The water type froze, looked to Ely before darting into the ocean and disappearing. The woman frown. “Rude. Why are they scared of me?” This deeply upset the want to be coordinator. But she was quickly distracted when Rue meowed at her, nudging her arm. “Okay Rue! Let’s began.” With that, the woman started to explain her vision. Talking with her hands and giving examples the best way she would to show what she wanted to accomplish.

The young woman watched excitedly as the mr mime presented his attacks one by one to the trainer. Eleanor ‘Ooooo’ and ‘awed’ at almost everything single one. And when the mr mime was done preforming for her, he took a bow and the woman clapped her hands joyously. “Those were great!” Getting to her feet, she moved closer to the mr mime. “So I have ideas for you.” But as she turned to face her other pokemon, something moved along the short that got her attention. At first, Eleanor didn’t know what it was. But upon closer inspection, the woman grinned from ear to ear. Walking into the water to get closer, she waved to the water and electric type.

It ducked underwater, nervous as first. Ely frown. “Oh no,” the woman pleaded in hopes the creature would hear her, “I don’t mean you harm. I wanted to say hi chinchou.” The blue creature resurface, large eyes stared at Eleanor as she smiled and waved again. “I just wanted to say hi and I hope you enjoyed our little presentation. If you want, you can say and watch some more. I don’t mind!” At the sound of her voice going in higher pitch, the wild pokemon turned and fled within seconds. Eleanor frown, marching back up on the beach and looked to her pokemon upset. “I just wanted to say hi.” The sylveon meowed, standing and rubbed the side of her face with her ribbon. “You’re right Rue,” the woman suddenly changed her mood, “We need to continue anyway. Distractions are not going to help us.” Turning to her chansey, she nodded. “It’s your turn Rowena. Let’s see what you got.” With that, the pokemon took center stage and began her own presentation of attacks.

“Alright! I want to start an a routine today!” The young pink haired woman announced to her small team of pink pokemon, “Now. I don’t know when the next contest will be but I want to have a full performance ready.” Large eager sapphire digits flickered from one pokemon to the next, a big grin spread across her glossy lips. Clasping her hands together, she nodded. “Good.” Ely giggled before twirling in place and stopping to look at the waves crashing against the short in the distance. “I figured practicing along the beach would be prefect. Wide open and maybe we can play in the water after.” Turning back to her team, long painted finger nail pointed to the the deerling with the light pink undercoat. The creature lowered his head, shyness got the best of him. “Basil! We need to work on your confidence.” Her finger then pointed to the Mr Mime and Chansey. “I also need to see your moves to see what I can come up with.” Both pokemon looked at each other before they turned back to their trainer. “Good,” the woman started as she planted her butt on the warm sandy beach and motioned to the Mr Mime. "Let’s start with you Demetrius. I wanna see what you got.” With that, the other pokemon moved to sit or stand next to Ely as the Mr Mime began to show his moves one at a time.
