He’d hum in acknowledgement of the man, tracing the rim of his glass after taking one final sip of the clear liquid contained within, a swift tap on the bar getting the bartenders attention.

“A Gold Rush for me.”

The bartender would wait in silence, eyes looking towards Fernando for his order- if he had one that is- before mixing in front of the two men.

Kim begun tapping quietly at the bar before speaking up, trying to find the right words before saying them.

“This bar is weird right? It’s not old fashioned but it hasn’t exactly transition into the new age just yet. I guess with a name like Kaleidoskull you can’t help but be-”

He snaps, a glass placed before him with his drink held within. It wasn’t the prettiest, but its taste would not differ with presentation, the slightly off display almost adding poignancy to its effects.

“-what was the word? You know, to describe something special or someone special?”

The curtain would close on the Primarina’s act, her spotlight stolen by the sun itself, the Volcarona’s form ever shining, just as healthy as the moment of its release.

The pokemon, full of energy, zipped on over to its trainer, a hand caressing the bug, smoothing out its ruffled fur.

A coo escaped as it evened its flame, snuffing its glorious blaze in favor of its usual warmness, rivaling a freshly dried blanket.

Once Cait had moved in on the man, Kim would smile a little more, a hint of smug set on his features as she threw in the metaphorical towel.

“And what might that be, Kay?”

“What? Really? I had no idea.”

The sound of sarcasm heavily filled his voice, the lavender haired man giving him a look of confusion as he shook his head.

“I already figured that out, but some context would have been better than you just telling me, ‘ you wouldn’t understand. ‘ like the brooding emo kid that sits in the back of the class.”

Eyes would avert momentarily, a hippopotas spotted sitting in the sand before him. It would only take a moment for him to usher the dragonite over, a swift aqua tail knocking it out of the sand and into the air, an empty pokeball thrown, capturing the pokemon after a few wiggles.

“As I was saying. Give me something to work with at the very least.”

Of course his likes and dislikes were of little importance to Kim, but at least it would make the time go by a little faster.

He said in a chipper tone, eyes moving towards the window after she had pointed out what she peeped.

The mat was of little importance to him, so little in fact that after a second of looking at the tacky thing, he would return his eyes back to her, rebounding to something else she had said.

“You’re looking for work pants? Let me help you out!”

He smiled a little wider, hands clapping into themselves before moving to grab hers, forcibly pulling her along.

“I was looking for someone to spend some time with, and luckily I found you.”

“I don’t think we got off on the right foot the first time we met so how let me make it up to you, (and you me)” he offhandedly whispered in a single breath, “by taking you on a shopping trip.”

His eyes glimmered as he moved the two of them along, seeking out a shop he had spotted on his way through the streets; the two of them moving further and further way from the store that had that dinky old mat in its window.

“Get in closer.”

The councilman commanded, the Volcarona weaving through the first Hydro Pump, deftly avoiding its girth, only to push in through the second one, it’s wings curling around itself, unfurling to their full length in a dazzling display of shining scales and sparkling water droplets once it had zoned in close on the water type.

“Bug Buzz.”

An attack whose use was only to cause annoyance to the Primarina, a high pitched drone emanating from the moths wings, followed by a Giga Drain; the succ used up close and personal.

There was little scheduled for the councilman this evening, the lavender haired beauty choosing to spend the better part of his day sorting things out in order to make his job a little easier. It was awfully proactive of the otherwise lazy council member, but this was not without its own selfish reasons.

Kim figured if he had left everything up to his secretary, then nothing would get done in a timely manner, so it was up to him to at least assist where assistance was needed, and sure enough, planning the rest of his day took minimal effort.

And with newly found down time, Kim saw no better way to spend it than in Lilycove, shopping centers aplenty lining the many streets of the bustling city.

Plus, with all the shoppers present, singling him out would be a chore to the otherwise busy shopper.

Luckily for him, he had an eye for singling people out, unintentionally spotting a familiar, yet pitiful, face.

He thought for a moment, ‘should I just ignore her? we didn’t exactly get off on the right foot with our first meeting.’ Only to cancel the notion with another. ‘but it would be pretty boring walking around by myself, and I don't feel like toting Uaid around.’

So, deciding on a whim, he would make his way over to the lass, shuffling through the crowd until he had arrived in front of her, a slight wave sent in her direction as he spoke.

“Yo.” A light smile placed itself on his lip, a calm expression upon his face. "What's up?"

Kim was getting really turnt up(on). A flip had been switched inside him that was hard to flip again, the councilman’s need to see more of Alexanders progression forcing him to give it his all.

“You’re doing good. But how far will you go.”

He would once more switch his dance up, movements fluid as he transitioned into a new jig, slower than the last and less complicated. But this facade was only a catalyst for what was to come.

Meanwhile, the toxic would take place within the ghostly visage of the Mismagius, her spirit aching with each passing second. Time was of the essence, but she would not sacrifice style for her own benefit.

Once more, the flames would rise, but within them, glimmers of multicolored, translucent rock hid, the beautiful combination of Mystical Fire and Power Gem shooting off towards the Roserade, Kim’s bountiful ass seen jiggling just out of the corner of the grass type’s vision.

Must be an underground type of thing, or an inside joke only he would understand. One things for sure, he couldn’t kaeor enough to pry deeper into it.

“Never heard of it.”

He’d simply brush it off, keeping the conversation afloat as the pressed further on.

“Just curious is all. I wanted to know where your sense of humor lies.”

Figures it would be something only he would get, the man seemed more tight assed than cait alfric .

The Hyper Voice did its job parrying the Giga Drain, but to the Volcarona’s boosted defence, the Primarina’s screeching did as little more than cause a minor rining within the bugs ears.

“Boo, dodge it.”

Was commanded, the Volcarona shifting ever so slightly to the side and sending the jet of water flying past itself.

“You look a little cheeky there Cait. Finally getting in the mood?”

Kim would smile a little brighter, another command sent after the remark.

“Quiver Dance on the double. Let’s finish this quickly.”

And with that relayed, the volcarona would unfurl its wings to their full span, a merging of scales and flame scattering around itself in an elegant display as the warmth of the moth radiated throughout the field.

Once its dance was completed, the bug’s wings would beat a mile a minute, zipping to and fro in appreciation of its newfound agility.

Both attacks hit their target, substantial damage acquired by the type and its attacks of the same nature. But the Volcarona kept afloat, its wings beating a little heavier to do so but getting the job done anyways.

A pout appeared on Kim’s face, both hands sent to rest on each hip as he looked to the pokemon.

“Boo…”

A calling to the pokemon as well as an utterance of discontent at his actions. The attacks were weaker than the Hydro Pump but Cait had managed to get two off, and that of course was no good for the Volcarona or his partner.

“Quiver Dance.”

The dual type would once again regain its luster, its dance becoming more lively than the first two as its stats bolstered that much more so.

“Don’t go in this time Boo, this is a battle not a playdate. Use Giga Drain.”

The Volcarona hummed in enmity, but listened all the same, its distance kept as particles of life escaped from its opponent and led back to the Volcarona, a hearty chunk of health regained with the assistance of its boosted stats.

Unfortunately for Cait, her deduction was flawed, the only reason for the Volcarona going in originally being taste. But there was no need for such trivial things when it came to battle, Giga Drain is a non-contact move after all (honk honk).

He says with a smug smile.

The most communication had with his coworkers were sparse, far and few between. Fernando of all people should know that, considering even when it was necessary for them to cooperate Kim had chosen to work by himself or not at all in order to avoid the man that much further.

He had originally forgotten what it was that made him detest Fernando as much as he did, so asking him to join him on this outing was simply a way to confirm if the feelings he felt for the man were true.

And sure enough, they were. Fernando was, is, and always has been a wet blanket. The bane of a perfectly good beach day.

But he wouldn’t let this soggy towel ruin what fun could be had from this experience. Kim would instead take the moments as they came, brushing off what could only be described as a dig towards him and roll back to what he had previously asked.

“Anyways, whats your favorite meme?”
