It had been a weeks since he'd been able to get out of the lab long enough to make his trek down Route 116. The bothersome part of it was that he'd fully forgotten about his once-per-week objective.

If he'd managed to keep to this side objective this would have been week seven in Casey hunt. Instead it was only week four.

Not a single thought in his head manifested in reprimand. The time doing research and working the labs weren't done in vain. It slipped his mind to walk route 116 because walking route 116 wasn't as important as his day job.

Of course if he didn't allocate time to this side task, he'd never get this side task accomplished. So here he was yet again, the trio of Metamon at his back. Himself ever curious to see what he would encounter after three weeks of absence, a simple true on his mind and off his tongue.

"Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known."

He moved with intent passed the mammalian pokémon that waddled through the brush. It's form scaring the triplets who watched it carefully for a moment.

While they watched it, he identified it just as it disappeared in the brush again. "Bupiggu." Another terrible name. "Psychic-type National 'dex' number three-hundred and twenty six. The Manipulate Pokémon."

Taking in its classification separate from simply regurgitating back to himself what his memory told him like a fact checker, he recollected claims of this species using its psychic power to 'control' the minds of others.

It was tempting to try to pursue it but he held back, still keen to find something else.

For three weeks now he'd been at this hunt of sorts, walking calm along the path of Route 116.

His eyes and senses sharpened for a chance at that elusive Casey. He'd found others almost as useful. Looking back, even though his time spent with them was short-lived thus far Wuuko was dubious as to how (or perhaps why) he'd managed to get on for so long with just the triplets at his beck and call.

Iessan was a wonder in the lab space and a great assistant in general.

Dumbber; though less helpful in the lab with no appendages was still a great distraction for the Metamon and a peculiar specimen of pokémon species to even Wuuko's sensibilities. It was "fun" to have around.

Perhaps even if he encountered and ensnared a Casey to his side he might come here weekly still.

It had been working out quite well thus far.

With a snap of his fingers the squishy squabblers that made up his trio of Metamon were called to attention.

Seeing a Psychic and Steel type flier before him Wuuko refused to let it slip through his grasp, even if he had to engage it in combat in ensure he could obtain its power.

"All of you, transform." The stage was set for a three versus one in a seconds. "Use any physical attacks you have to take it down."

Surrounding the Dumbber, the transformed triplets went about attacking with METAL CLAW and one of the three, Similar, literally following his orders used TAKE DOWN, injuring itself.

In less seconds than what made a minute the attack was over. The wild pokémon hit the ground no different than a dead weight. The struggle couldn't have gone any other way. Even with natural resistances to its own attacks, no creature could fight three of itself at once.

Whys attempted to capture Dumbber.

Waiting for the pokéball to 'PING' Wuuko reflected on what he knew about the species. "Dumbber is a terrible name."

A feline pokémon passed him by. Lacking the impulse to obtain it given it wasn't even the correlating type let alone the exact species he'd come to search for, he let it go.

Rather than bringing it with him the second thought he had, was to identify it by its scientific name and basic specifications as it pranced away.

"Enekororo; Normal-type. National number three-hundred and one. The Prim Pokémon."

Keeping his mind sharp and occupied it felt natural to make a deeper game out of what was already essentially a scientific bout of the child's game, 'Duck Duck Goose'.

With things working out so well with the Iessan that joined him last week. He made time to venture back to Route 116 this week as well.

Still on the lookout for that elusive Casey; Wuuko made the decision to come to here once per week until he found what he was looking for.

The walk gave him time to clear his head and the triplets seem to gain some form of calm as well.

Iessan remained back at the office organizing and cleaning at his own pace, happy not to have to deal with the Metamon Triplets. Given they never gave him room to breathe Wuuko understood his apprehension.

Of course without the Iessan here now, the Metamon were back to fighting. By now he'd become used to it, having them for as long as he had.

He could have sent the triplets out to over power it but he just wasn't in the battling spirit. Something in his own emotions he hoped would be enough to pull the Iessan to him. In fact, given the severe lack of malice or discontent in his demeanor Wuuko was sure he was emitting something unique the horned pokémon would pick up on.

-and he was right.

As the male Iessan approached, curious about the serene and quiet emotional state of the human before him, Wuuko placed on the ground the uneaten half of a cereal bar, careful to put the garbage wrapper back in his pocket to properly dispose of later. Taking more steps back and placing an unoccupied pokéball on the ground he went stepped back once more and sat down on the ground in a meditative positioning.

Closing his eyes he actually tried to meditate for a moment.

He focused on the cool breeze in the air and the sounds of the triplets arguing among themselves. Breathing deep he focused on what good he could do with a new helper; his need for assistance. Hearing the chewing of the cereal bar and an approaching scampering. He focused his mind on the image of the psychic activating the pokéball.

He replayed the moment in his mind until for just the split of a second; he forgot about it was vision he was making up himself. Coming back to the world he opened his eyes to see the Iessan gone; his pokéball wobbling... and wobbling.

Iessan activated the unused pokéball.

He didn't move yet not until he knew if the little psychic wanted to come with him; never losing his quiet, curious, calm.

Taking out a notebook he jotted down a few details of the impish pokémon he saw go past, identifying it from memory as an iessan.

Classified as the Emotion Pokémon it was known to use its horns as means to read the emotions of others. As useful as an emotional identification ability could be in an interpersonal use, he was more interested in the pokémon's raw psychic power. To that end, the male of this species was prone to effective work as a valet.

The three 'splooges' behind him still bickering among themselves weren't the best at assistant work and he'd long since ceased giving them serious tasks. Having a new helping hand around would really make the lab more efficient.

Carefully, he snapped his finger so that the psychic would notice him.
