This was but the first step of many to bring to light the events of the latest excursion into the Ruins of Regirock. Adrian wasn't even entirely sure if Mauville's District Court had the jurisdiction, but he would take it as high as needed to see that the incident wasn't simply swept under the rug. He was going to rub their noses in their mess.[break][break]

Once he's outside of the building, Adrian is hounded by a few sparse paparazzi of varied professionality. Cameras blink in his face with brilliant lights, while others scope in on him from a distance. They badger him with questions: Some about why he's at the courts today, others about when his latest album would drop—if ever. They're not pleasant questions, and he pushes through them dismissively, not that such a thing had ever discouraged such insistent, pesky reporters before.[break][break]

Couldn't I have just submitted a report over the Internet or something? Eugh...[break][break]

Adrian looked for an out, trying to escape the unwelcome attention...

Crowds gather upon an individual that has come out from the court, hounding him with dozen relentless questions completely ignoring the surroundings. Not too far from them, a woman with a black eyepatch and a jacket standing there, glaring at them like a hawk waiting for the right time to sweep in for her prey, and today's prey is the performer known as Adrian Malcolm. Yvaine, her direct secretary, is currently not around but that doesn't make Katarina become useless. Her role as secretary is actually just a formality and Katarina is capable enough to handle what Yvaine handles every day. [break][break]

With that said, Katarina starts to make a step forward. The reporter who was pushed way back start to notice her first and hold his breaths. That reaction starts a chain event in which the wave of questions and commenting suddenly diminished and their focus shifted towards the CEO of GaiaTech. None of them got the tip of her appearance in this exact location, making them have no clue on what is going to happen. So, instead of asking a reckless leading question and losing their chance for what it looks like can be today's headline - They decide to observe. Katarina peeks with her left eye at one of the reporter and the glare alone make them flinches. [break][break]

" Mr. Malcolm, is it? I am Katarina from GaiaTech CEO and I have a proposal to make. Do you prefer to discuss this in the cafe nearby or within my office?" Katarina asks him, not giving him an option to decline. The reporter looks back and forth between Katarina and Malcolm, Katarina can guess that they are hoping for this discussion to be held at the nearby cafe. If Adrian is smart enough to realize that, he would pick the office.

His eyes gloss over her with a look of disdain, bordering on a sneer before deciding.[break][break]

"I—... You have a lot of nerve." Maybe he could appreciate that, or the fact she offered a means to wriggle free of the onslaught of camera flashes and stammering reporters. Reluctant to accompany her regardless, he runs a hand through his hair before dispensing his reservations. "Whatever, lead the way. Anywhere but here."[break][break]

Adrian hoped her reasons were genuine, eyes lingering over her, searching for recognition. For a trace of deception, for he rarely afforded others to his trust.[break][break]
