By her side was her hitmontop who spun to her side, a little bit excitedly as he was still riding off of the high of winning his previous match. It was a sudden conclusion...but well! All's well that ends well, now he was amped up for the next round. 'Ready whenever you are!" she exclaimed.[break][break]

Once he was ready, melody ordered her hitmontop with a sudden speed. "Rolling kick!" she called out as hitmontop spun into action. [break][break]

“Same to you!” he called out from his side of the arena, before whistling sharply exactly once—and the Lopunny out on his side of the field quickly sought to counter the incoming attack with a Triple Axel of her own.

The Hitmontop surely meant business, and she was going to deliver said business—by hook or by crook!

Well, first strike and they equally rebounded off each other.

How was that for ‘rubber match’ opening?!

The Lopunny didn’t break her stride, carefully taking a deep breath and going in for the Drain Punch this time. Blows were going to be traded, and who was going to score first blood?!

(Hopefully she did. Let’s see, though.)

Arashi stood there on his side of the field, watching everything ever so carefully and muttering under his breath…

Melody's hitmontop took a serious hit to the stomach with that drain punch. Whatever damage that could have been dealt by their blows was healed by hitmontop's own vitality being sapped away. [break][break]

"don't fret hitmontop! Try again! Get in close! Surprise her!" she shouts as Melody's hitmontop rushes up to loppuny and claps it's hands to do a fake out attack. [break][break]

The strike connected, but the Hitmontop definitely had other tricks up its sleeve!

“Get out of there while you can!” he shouted, hands clenched on the edge of the railing, as the Lopunny was—obviously caught off-guard, but kept her cool.

There was no way she was going to let this… this Hitmontop get the better of her!

Banking everything on the next attack, she then got in place and then attempted to execute a Reversal, because who knew if it was going to work?!

The moves collided with one another and it seemed like her opponent took the damage this time from their moves. Good! Chipping away at his defenses was a valid way to make sure that they can win the fight, a war of attrition. However Melody decided to say fuck it and risk it all, no guts no glory!

"Hitmontop! Unleash all of your might! Wait for them to strike!" she ordered as Hitmontop prepared himself mentally and physically, charging up a COUNTER attack.
