Flattery could only go so far.

Except when it came from ALEXANDER STONE. In that case, there was always a piece of his words she would've found herself appreciative of. There was just some indescribable thrill to being praised by someone who once held the title of League's Champion. It felt reaffirming, in the way. As though, despite what critics may say, there was merit in her work. Something that even someone like him could understand and appreciate.
